Aside from his incredible guitar playing, I now look forward to seeing Tim’s transition into an anime protagonist.
It gotta be an antagonist tho
Jojo Chic Noir is IN, babes.
More like anime supervillain.
bold of you to imply he isn't already one
Boring
Tim's transition into a living Jojo character is nearly complete
Totally Trans everything ...
Now we wait to see the stand

An BTW, he seems to play music too.
No
Tim seems to be turning into more of a dark elf/vampire every year, and just like his playing, it's just magical.
I know right, pretty soon we will finally get a Twilight X Tim Henson Collab
Drizzt Do’urden
He became a Cenobite.
Was thinking Edward Scissor Hands.
Slow demonic possession.
He almost makes the song sound slower by how easily he plays. Every note is so clear and even leaving room for space in between. Effortless
Thats because IT IS slower ^^
@@HXC62 I knew I wasn’t crazy! Had to go back and check and it is definitely slowed down
To be fair it's just A BIT slowed down, play the video at 1.05 speed and you will see the real tempo
Haha yeah it's definitely slower, I noticed that too. Still really cool though
@Patrick Bai funny that you say that, I just saw them live about an hour ago- couldn’t notice a difference in speed!
I like this vibe so much
He just sits down and play something in absolute chill
Never heard of this guy till today, very interesting sound and freakin boss on his instrument.
For me Tim is the kind of guy who makes me feel I will never be as good as him and at the same time he made me pick up a guitar and start learning.
For me it was ichika (just because i discovered him before Tim Henson but anyways yeah 😅)
@@mystamusica8571 i feel like Ichikas skill level doesn’t reach Tim’s tho. Ichika has a more slower style that is easier to achieve.
@@JPdraws_ I wasn’t implying that: it’s just that ichika appeared first in my recommendations
The rule is that we develop our style and then try to perfect it. Yes! Tim is a virtuoso's virtuoso, but what really makes him even greater is that he found his own original sound.

When I was about 14, my Dad took me to see Return to Forever. We have a distraught relationship due to his alcoholism, but your guys’ music brings a tear to my eye remembering one of the few good times we had together. I can’t overstate how big of a deal it is that fusion is still alive and well. Thank you Polyphia and Tim for helping us see some light in the darkness.
you got to see return to forever? that's so dope
I saw RTF three times in the 70's and once on their reunion tour (I forget the year). A fantastic group, glad that you got to see them with your dad!

This kid is incredibly marketable even without the guitar- best guitar playing i eva seen mannn!!
All about aesthetics.
incredible talent, but i can't hear the music. maybe it's me? hehe
if you're an old hippie did you ever hear of Tommy Emmanuel, that is real skilled guitarist he can play anything and everything, even stringed instruments he's never played before, that is genius. Classical Gas [Mason Williams] | Tommy Emmanuel. and this is on an acoustic guitar he's mostly given up electric, probably fed up after a lifetime of studio work.
I like how he’s wearing a Hellraiser x Snuggie collab and nurturing the groove at the same time.
Wholesome. I hope he doesn't turn into one of those fallible humans any time soon.
I was thinking, what does this remind me of and when I read your comment I thought "ah yes exactly, hellraiser!"

I clicked for this dude's incredible aesthetic, but the playing is also great!
Tim has had such a glow-up over the years. Truly the protagonist of this Anime.
…and it’s incredible how versatile the instrument becomes with the additional strings. You’re able to have a hybrid bass/guitar sound mixed with overlapping techniques from both.
Animals As Leaders is a prime exemple of that vesatility
Tosin Abasi was one of the first to popularize it over a decade ago, now it's the norm. It became a trend just like the thin body nylons are trending due to playing god.

My least favorite song on the album though. It’s the only one I always skip.

I grew up listening to jazz cause my dad loved it. I eventually got into metal and this is a great combination of both. I am looking forward to showing this to my dad i know he will enjoy this. Fantastic music.
Edit: This must feel so good to play, i can see it and feel it, fuck yeah.
Fabulous! So groovy. Man, I really dig those harmonics too.
It's really cool to see this song played in this fashion. This also solidifies just how the much bass is doing in this track which really makes me want a Clay Gober bass play-through if he hasn't done so already.
I agree with you, thanks for saying this. More bass is awesome, especially when you’ve got the duo thumping on 8-strings while Clay is still holding down the low end.
I love bass.
1x ģ
Clay is a great bassist, but Scott is also banging on the lower 8-string notes. This is an intense song, love it!
Like this song sounds SO good and obviously took so much sheer talent to create, but it also sounds so goofy sometimes it brings me absolutely bliss.
The essence of good anime music 👌
Not talent. Hard work!
Ethan- This beautiful song does the same thing to me also. It brings me into a place of sheer joy! Not many songs have that effect. This one is really Special! 🎸🎼🎶✴️
Anomalie pretty much made the whole thing, everything from that dude is a banger. U should check out his stuff!
what a godly divine look... and guitar skills, that goes without saying
I went back to see his older videos and I found one with him as a kid. It’s insane to see how much he’s grown both musically and style-wise lol. Those tattoos and fashion really added to his musical skill and make him really unique and cool

It is underrated. If would have smashed as a single for sure. But maybe too jazzy to hold attention. Those anchor point riffs are genius.
Underrated are my balls!!! This track first time I listened to it I almost cried

Yes with a kind of Steve Lukather spirit!
Jazz + funk
I get a serious "return to forever" vibe from this song
@@77Ariblood This was my immediate thought when I first heard this song on release. Nice to see another fan! :)
Jazz no, funk, maybe. It's definitely it's own thing. Tim I'd amazingly talented
Reminds me of a throwback to 8bit Nintendo music, in the best way possible. Tim can play melodies on guitar that used to only be possible by a midi player reading notes arranged by a crazy Japanese composer. It reminds me when Tim said something like he doesn't even love guitar as much as he loves creating music and the guitar is his best vehicle for it
wow!!! amazing guitar/bass combo playing!!!!
for everyone wondering: a lot of thos grungy edgy tops you see tim wear are by a brand called skoot apparel. a bit expensive but totally worth it!
The audacity this man has to play guitar this good while also looking this good. BOTH EFFORTLESSLY!!!
He honestly looks (and acts) like someone trying TOO hard to live the "artists" lifestyle lol.
@@RemmyRiffs when?
@@nunyabeezwax7417 he looks like someone who puts a lot of effort into waving the 'im different, i want everyone to know' flag rather than just getting on with it. I know plenty of artists who got some tats because they paint amazing things and they wanted to wear some of their art say, and i know artists who wear jeans and t shirts.
His playing is amazing and i cant play like that, but at the same time i dont know if i would want to. If i quit my job with the goal of becoming an amazing player and spent every waking moment practicing to replicate that style... personally no thanks. No real groove, nothing that tugs at your insides and makes you purse your lips and involuntarily go 'oh yeah!' and bob your head. It sounds like microchips.
Only my opinion of course. Im still glad he's successful. And im only mid 30s. not wishing for elvis to come back.
This video really solidified the name of the song for me. The audacity Tim has to just hit us with this the way he does... the song just has the perfect amount of sass to really draw the message home.
I'm absolutely astonished by the creativity of your music. I've struggled for years to become 1/4 the player you have become. It keeps me inspired to learn and play more. Thank you
I've waited a long time to to hear this kind of skill and soul on guitar. The bass is incredible .
I love how you are able to make your instrument sound “heavy” even with a clean tone. 🌟
There are some mean riffs! Like at 1:47
Funky slaps and pops, jazzy runs, ethereal harmonics, and slick melodic transitions come together for an awesome track! Incredible playthrough as always Tim.
the chops this dude got never cease to amaze me, seriously wtf
Just Awsome. So talented
Even Karen doesn't have this much audacity. Epic track and style, I love this.

This is in my top 3 off the album. And phew 00:16 that harmony! Could listen to this all day fr
The only song I've actually looked up to see if it was legit. I'm nearly certain other parts were quantized on the track, but being able to play something live with zero cuts like this is still next level incredible.

Tim, Your music has helped me in so many ways. You have no idea.
I discovered Polyphia in 2016 when you released Nightmare - since then you have been my favorite band and YOU my favorite guitarist.
I still remember the first time I heard Blood Moon - this takes me back to that time.
I might not become a guitarist in a band - or a bassist for that matter. But what you do, and your sound inspire me to do greater things.
Thank you for being my inspiration.

Your fashion style is morphing into a Hellraiser cenobyte.

This sounds like some heavily modded mario sunshine song, has a sweet vibe. Tim is really good at making things feel fresh
The style!!! In every sense of the word. The style of the playing, of the guitar, of the beat, of the beautiful studio and of Tim himself.
This MIGHT be the Jazziest Tune he has written Yet Love it The first Minute Sounds Like it should be Music in the Next Mario Kart Game
That is my favorite Polyphia song. That thumping technique is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I could do *anything* with 1/10 the ease Tim lays this down with.. damn. He makes falling asleep when exhausted look impossible by comparison.
In an album full of bangers, this was my favorite track.

When listening to Anomalie's beat before the guitar was added, it's almost impossible to imagine more being added to it, yet you did it again here masterfully. No one else could have done it justice like this. Both versions are incredible on their own, but together... wow. my favorite riffs you write are the ones that mesh perfectly with the vocals; like ABC, Positions, or this (the keys feel like vocals to me) . This is my favorite song for sure. Shit SLAPS so hard.
Wonderful!!
La audacia de ser una persona tan talentosa, bella y estilosa.
Give Tim more strings? You've just unlocked his next phase... YOU FOOLS!

Yooo, not just the guitar, but the hair and outfit too 🔥🔥🔥

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe what we just watched and heard. I'm still going to say the most impressive (bewildering) part to me is how relaxed Tim is. It's almost as if isn't even paying attention to what he is playing like he is thinking of something else entirely yet not a missed note or a single flaw . This just shows that Tim is truly a next level, incarnation if you will, of guitar virtuoso's. I'm going to listen again now, thanks for the upload Tim.
👆👆Congratulations you have been selected among my shortlist winners hit me up to claim your prize 🎁🎁……..
That is called being in "the zone" or, more scientifically, a "flow state." He is, in fact not really paying attention to nor thinking about what he's playing at all. He has excelled to a point where he only needs to rely on muscle memory. This is the mark of mastery. I first noticed it was a thing when I realized I was completely zoned out, my eyes not even in focus while playing DDR and Guitar Hero, I was hardly even looking at the notes yet I was hitting them all. Best of all it is a form of meditation/mindfulness practice, and it feels incredible. But yeah, Tim has truly mastered the art, and every song he writes. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!
He said in an interview that he can't think about what he's playing, because if he thinks then he'll mess up. This describes a true refinement of his craft along with an ability to enter and maintain a flow state
How many times do you think he's played it / how many hours has he spent relentlessly drilling every single note? Regardless of how much talent the individual has, it takes an insanely massive amount of work and practise, sustained over many many years, to achieve this "magic". :)
i'd be intensely biting my lip, sweating and having a cramped hand playing this...very sloppily.
Awesome song and the outfit is very JoJo’s. Love it all Tim ❤️
