At this age I'm not old enough to understand how quickly things rise and fall, how fast the star of relevance fades. Most musicians of the 80s and 90s will NOT be as relevant as they were 30 years ago. Most things, period, won't be. Which is why you gotta hold onto the things you love. You can't forget who you are and you can't let cynicism change you. As we get older, maybe in the name of efficiency we let things go and let things die. You gotta make an effort to not let that happen. And then my younger self would be like "Look man, I don't even know who Weird Al is, really. I've heard his name MAYBE once or twice in my life. I didn't listen to Bad Hair Day, this knowledge you're sharing is wasted on me. I'm happy for you, though?"

IKR. Even as a kid I never understood the appeal of Bobby’s World. It was one of those shows whenever it came on I would always leave on in the background while I did something else and then came back after it was over lol
Wow, we have vastly different tastes I guess 😅. I always loved Bobby's World. I always felt like it fairly accurately represented the experience of being a kid and misunderstanding what adults are saying and also the experience of being a kid with a big imagination. The uncle and the older brother and the whole family dynamic just felt very relatable. But then it's also a really humorous, surreal, and creative show. And I don't think it was forgotten very much at all -- maybe it wasn't all that valuable of a property and that's why, but I remember it running in syndication like, at least well into the 2010s and being one of that cartoons from that era that's most easy to find on the internet (more obscure cartoons are harder to acquire, while more in demand cartoons tend to be more closely policed/controlled). When I was in college, I could still find reruns on like, Hub Network regularly. Sure, it was never an A-tier cartoon like Batman, Xmen, Animaniacs, etc. but I'll bet it's better remembered among the age group at the time than many of the other cartoons at the time. Idk, I guess some stuff really does work well for some people and not for others 😅.
