What a wonderful Easter celebration with so many good friends and family! It was so nice to see big kids and adults running around getting treats and the icing on the cake was the younger ones doing a separate hunt and getting all that fantastic candy! Wow! I love this style of Easter Egg hunt! When I was growing up, the chocolate eggs were for the Easter baskets, and we hid the real eggs we’d dyed the day before. Always in the house, until we didn’t realize that we’d missed one at my grandparents’ house… ‘till Gramma found it when she broke it moving the sofa to clean behind it. 🤦♀️😬🤣 She insisted we move the egg hunt outside after that, despite the risk of scorpions (in Phoenix Arizona), and the fact that it was so warm the eggs would have to be thrown away. 😉 But we still had fun hiding and re-hiding the eggs until they all fell apart. 😁

Fun save and lesson learned on having a kids-only egg hunt. I love the Ash/Tracey team! Great catch up on all the projects and so nice to know that you finally got to share your new chateau life and adventures with your extended families.
The new Driveway looks great and the trees planted will create a very attractive avenue in a few years once they start to establish. You should consider adding some specimen trees - you will notice in old large estates and high end chateaus they had/have Redwood and Cedar of the Lebanon Trees - they are a signature stand out tree once established. If you decide to plant some of these, be sure to plant well apart (min 40-50 feet away from anything else).
I loved this episode. Poor Patrick! He hasn't got the legs for swimming! It's all looking brilliant, I can see how it will look now. I didn't know you had a forest too. It's all very exciting.🥰🥰

Bonjour! I absolutely love watching your family journey through the restoration of this beautiful château. You are all so courageous and inspiring! I have only recently discovered your vlog and I am amazed at the support and enthusiasm you’ve gathered. This is why I would like to share a suggestion of my own that I feel would possibly help you once you start receiving guests. The N12 seems a little bit noisy even when you are close to the château, maybe it is worse with the videos, but we can see trucks passing through quite regularly. So my suggestion would be to change the portion of the fence in front of the N12 with a nice stone wall that would cut the noise significantly. In the video, you showed the original gate. It could be integrated in the wall. Obviously this would not be a top priority and clearly not a “just job” 😂 As a French born who now lives in Canada, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am about your adventure and wish you all the best. 😊 I hope you will get this message even if it pertains to an old video. Take care and keep up the good work. You are such an incredible family! 💫
We do our egg hunts young go first, then 15 min pre teens, teens, young adults etc. It works, every one cheering each on. Was fun watching yours hunt too.

The tour of the grounds was welcome. I could really see what work has been done. Would Patrick be tempted to jump into that front pond? Perhaps "wire fence" the very bottom of the picket fence? You could have guests with curious dogs as well. Avoiding the 🗼 Paris airport would work well for us. If we decided to take a trip someday, it would be to book a room at your chateau 🏰. I'm sure that the local community eagerly looks forward to their daily drive past the chateau just to see what work you have done on the old lady to bring her back to life. Will you do an open tour for the community or a "picnic on the lawn" to welcome the community to see the work that's been done?

I’m surprised Patrick doesn’t like water. Our miniature dachshund loves going to the beach and swimming in the huge pools of water left by the tide. He also likes to swim in the river. Strangely he doesn’t like going out in the rain. I love all the work you have done at the chateau and are pleased you had fun at Easter with friends and family.

Strangely he doesn’t like going out in the rain. I love all the work you have done at the chateau and are pleased you had fun at Easter with friends and family.
