I have been there July 23rd 2019 you have done a beautiful job with the place, Thank you Mr. Madden for saving a bit of history, I also got myself a Muhammad Ali T-shirt a T-shirt of him standing over a Sonny Liston, and I Also donated money towards the cause. You are a very unselfish person you are Doing this without without no gain in money I look up to you for saving his camp.
Thank you for doing this. I had the great opportunity to visit this camp back in the summer of 1980 while Ali was there and training for the Larry Holmes fight.
I went to the training camp in the late 70's with a friend. We got there late and missed Ali training but he was standing outside dressed and talking to groups of people. I was surprised by his size. Not a huge guy, maybe a bit taller than 6 ft. You could see though he was in top physical condition. I don't remember if you could take pictures, but I had no camera. Would have been real cool to have photos of that day.....
Oww..i watched a video one of his ussual entourage member said ali was a huge guy specially looking at his picture during sonny liston's ll fight..ali just 22 that time but its like 40's. ..look at his body built so im thinking he was a huge guy
@@aprilaries1223 That was just my first thought. I was about 12 ft. in front of him. We were" about " eye to eye and I am 6 ft. Not a big deal, I was just expecting to see a bigger guy. Sometimes I think they exaggerate stats.
Great to hear that someone took the initiative to save a landmark in Ali's life. You did the right thing. Generations will thank you.
