Thanks for not editing out your mistakes , love your authenticity 🐝
Who also thinks Laura is the best of the best? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️ we love your videos! Keep them coming!
The application of the brown stain made the statue look like it is bronze. Very pretty.
She came out great. New life! Thanks and I like the way you do things. Give it a try, doesn’t work, adjust, do something else. Love it
She's beautiful, looks like bronze and the little terrarium is so sweet, perfect.
Ohhh, I love the way the statue turned out! Looks like she was always meant to be that color! With her having the little lamb etc. She would look good in the vegetable garden area. Or on your new property veg garden.
Love how Russell photo bombs each video! I am always looking for him while watching Laura do her magic.
I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like the end result, but she looks like she has been bronzed. She looks gorgeous.
Same here. I actually had never thought about staining concrete statues, but it looks great!
Angel Friend Too brown IMO but that has made me remember that I have a DIY book on making concrete look like rusty cast iron, aged copper with verdigris stains, old brass and other materials. That statue would be perfect for one of those finishes.
Pat Pezzi what is the name of that book?
@@pansepot1490 I’d be interested in getting the name of that book if you still have it.
Thanks 😊
Pro trick: you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
Russel Foot Fern! She looks really good, redone and retucked. I thought it was going to be not good, but she really looks great. Next move, maybe you can display more of the lamb but right now, she looks like she is admiring all the flowers. Good call with the stain and mixing of colors - reminds me of a bronze statute.
I think the statue would look great near the gardens where the chicken coop is. So cute!
Not a great idea if there's a coup!😂
That’s exactly what I was thinking! I reckon she’d look absolutely darling in amongst those cottage-y looking beds along the pallet walkway near the chickens
Yes, near the chickens.
I love the way your statue came out and her new home in your garden. Listening to your fountain trickle while you worked was so soothing!
I love the bronzed look of the statue. Very pretty tucked in your garden!
She turned out beautiful. Looks almost like a copper statue. Love it.
Love, love, love, love the way your statute came out looking, she looks bronze which I love! I will definitely try it with some concrete bird bath I have and other pieces I have in my garden. I’ve been wanting to change their look because here in Ga you tend to get moss growing on brick, wood or concrete I’ve noticed since a year ago now that I moved here. Thank you
I love your statue in the end! It does look bronzed. I like that you used what you had and just went with what you liked!
Wow you are not afraid to try something new. That's awesome 👌 She turned out beautiful 🤗
Love what you did to the statue. She's gorgeous! What a great improvement.
Wow stating her made such a huge difference you can see so much more detail and the spot is perfect and I love your terrarium
Two fun projects! I love the Rabbits Foot Fern and the statue turned out amazing. And thanks for the visit with Russell 😊😻
I love the looks of the statue. She is beautiful. You have placed her perfectly.
She's so precious. That really made her detaila come out.
Never thought about or even heard of anybody staining a concrete statue. Don't know why that is, but what a fantastic idea. I think your statue turned out looking almost like bronze - it really brought out the flowers on the dress and other details not seen before. I really like it!!!!!!
She turned out gorgeous. Love that you made your own color. The gray was too flat and looked like paint. Now she’s perfect and in the perfect spot. Loved the houseplant info. 🤗☀️🦜💜
Everything looks beautiful, my daughter wanted a terrarium and she loved this one. I personally love the change in color for your concrete girl. 😍
Whewwwww😱....2 minutes later AHHHHHHHOOOOOOOH LOL! WAS SCARED for a minute there but you did your thing and now it looks Really BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Aaron your statue lives on!!!!!YAY 😂🤣😄
Just a gorgeous statue. Before and after. Little plant garden looks lovely. Love ferns.
Again...you nailed it! I love terrariums. The lady that babysat me when I was a kid had one of those big globe terrariums in her living room and I loved to sit and look at it. I was 4 then, now I’m 45.
We’ve all done it and your recovery was spectacular. You stuck the landing 😉♥️
I love the statue, the stain really brings out the beautiful details. I have to say I was holding my breath when the grey went on but the end result is beautiful!
You did an excellent job on the statue. It looks like she is made of bronze or copper now! Love where you tucked her in your gorgeous garden.❤️
Yes she does looks bronzed....and I like where you placed her....she peeks out. Fun!
The terrarium turned out cute! And your statue turned out good too. Always a fun video with you. ❤❤
Russell is the star of the show! So cute.
She turned out lovely, Aaron is a sweet man, such a Beautiful thoughtful gift, wish you could see the little goat at her feet tho. I've never been one for houseplants, but seeing the terrarium makes me wanta run out an get what I need to put one together.
SHE'S STUNNING!!!! great job Laura.
I love how your statue turned out, oh & that terrarium turned out beautiful 💜
Tracey🌸
I love the terrarium! Such pretty textures together!! The little girl looks like a bronze sculpture now. Love it!
LOVE IT! Just a thought for your side yard next to your front door. Make it more woodsy by entering through an old gate. Install a creek bed to the left of the sidewalk with water wheel along with your concrete peasant girl.
The statue turned out great, it almost looks like a bronze color now. I just love her. I think you might wish you would have kept her if you give her away. Just think what a gift one day for Benjamin when he's older. Along with the story. What fond memories that would be. Anyway, thanks for another great video!!
WOW the terrarium!!! And that statue turned out amazing!! I about died when I saw that gray and then BOOM you worked your magic 🙌😅😍
The staining color is perfect for her! She's Beautiful now!! Seriously enjoyed the houseplants a lot and loving how you planted!! I need to write down all the names!
First time I noticed Russell is a polydoctil, multiple extra toes. I've had several furbabies with them!
😊💚🌿🌻
I love the lemon button fern and the terrarium is so sweet!
That is so gorgeous the way you did that terrarium!
Who knew you could use wood stain on concrete! Super sweet statue. Her new location is precious.💖
She turned out so pretty!
Thanks for the staining tip for the statue... I have a mermaid to redo next summer! Beautiful gardens as always!💜
That gray was speaking no right from the start and glad you realized and switched to the brown.....looks awesome now, like an expensive bronze piece. Nice!
So beautiful arrangement for indoors
I love your suggestion of dry brushing green over the stain. I will try this on some large resin pots with a raised design to restore their beauty.
Oh wow it really looks great with the stain!
I've never tried house plants before but you've inspired me to give it a try. I never thought you could stain concrete! She looks beautiful
I love her Laura!! I am so glad you like her now that you've stained her!! She will look beautiful in your beautiful gardens..and I love how she ended up looking with your stain colors..good pick Aaron!!☺
Your finish on the lady looks good. Glad you blended the stains. Good job!
She is beautiful and looks bronze. Great finish Laura!
It came out nice and it looks great where you put it.
I have a button fern and have to water it every 3 days. I even have it on a dish of pebbles with water in it. I'm so glad you are keeping the statue that Aaron gave you. I could never give away a Christmas gift from my husband like that.
Love the terrarium & the plants!!!! The little statue turned beautiful, she is gorgeous! Yes, I have learned so much, what to do & what not to do, by watching your videos - Love them!! 🥰💚🌿🌱🌞📹🎬👍🙌💁♀️💚🌿
You’re always so cheerful. Lovely to watch. ♥️
Both are just perfect!
Beautiful terrarium! You worked magic with the moss and stones! Love the ‘new’ statue too!
Ohhh, I love her!!! She is perfect now!!!
Terrarium looks so pretty and your statue has come back to life... great job!
The statue came out beautifully-looks bronzed.🥰 You are so talented!
The pink Fittonia is gorgeous. Love the final look of the statute. Great video.
She was very pretty and put in the right spot!
Laura, I always double glove, especially on the hand that I use to stain or paint, since I must be very enthusiastic when I use a brush or cloth to stain. What is nice is that, if the outside glove doesn't have holes, when I take them off. I can reuse the glove(s) again.
The blend performed on the statue really enhanced it, you almost made it look like copper.
The terranium is so beautiful. The statue is just beautiful I hope that you keep it. Really enjoyed watching this video.
I have recently gone house plant crazy decorating through the home. I’ve really been enjoying them. I love the look of terrariums-can’t have enough ferns!
Ms. Peasant girl is so pretty stained and yes, a perfect spot meant to be!!
Turned out really nice! Good job Laura!💜🌱💜
SHE LOOKS AWESOME! glad you saved her! great job Laura :>)
Love how they both turned out! I've been out re-doing garden art as well, and in the process of making a turtle from a metal hanging basket and chicken wire for the head and feet. I think I'll plant some pansies in it for fall. Between you and Amanda (Planterina) I just may have to make another terrarium. lol
Love the ferns! Glad your summer has gone great so far. The statue looks great as well! Happy gardening 🌿🌸
The statue is beautiful!
So glad to watch a new video!! Need to go buy some house plants 🌿.
I recently watched a video from The White Cottage and she was wearing your Garden Answer T-SHIRT 👕. Enjoy watching you both!
I love how the little statue turned out. The houseplants look nice. I have one of those dragon tongue plants and so far, it is doing okay.
Oh gosh I love how you just go for it in every thing you try! I didn't get to have coffee with this video as I had to be out early this morning but it was so enjoyable to see later in the evening as well! Also love all those new house plants and we were just looking at a terrarium similar to yours in Michael's last weekend. Now I am going to have to go get it and try some ferns in it!!! By the way I think the statue looks great!!
The terrarium turned out GORGEOUS. The bird nest would be cute for springtime with a couple tiny fake eggs in it!
I have two large grey resin pots in need of a makeover. The raised design on them doesn’t stand out anymore. Spray painting didn’t seem like the answer. The wood stain technique and Aija’s comment about dry brushing with green is absolutely it! Thank you for the inspiration. I will also test patch some stain on a little statue painted light blue in an attempt to make it look like copper patina. Maybe it will bring back its former glory.
Love the houseplants, the statue turned out well. I think she would look good by the chickens!
That's where I was thinking, too!!
I agree.
Thank you for talking about the ferns! I got the lemon one that's on its last leaf I moved it to the bathroom for more humidity 🤞🏼 that color of stain looks so much better!!! She looks beautiful!
She looks beautiful.
Perfect color and location!
The terrarium came out beautifully 🥰 And the statue transformation 😍
Oh how addicting I ordered a terrarium before the video went to staining the statue. I am going to fill mine with succulents and fairies. Love the statue..... Aaron your sweet to buy here things she loves. Kisses to Benjamin and kitty's......
I love love your videos! So inspiring! Every morning I pour my cup of coffee and watch a few! Iv learned so much!! Thank you!
I love the plants you chose for the Terrarium, it's beautiful.
Looks like she is in the perfect place, all freshened up standing there enjoying a new spot in the garden! A sweet surprise!
The shepherdess looks beautiful!
The bird nest you should use for a wreath with a cardinal.
Always like your videos, keep it up.
Hi Laura! I love all of the plants you got. The terrarium turned out so pretty. I have a Dragons Blood, Rabbits Foot Fern, purple waffle plant, snow white waffle plant and a Fittonia Juanita. The Fittonia Frankie is gorgeous. I'll have to look for that one. All but the Rabbits Foot Fern like a lot of water.I like how the statue turned out, too. I do hope you keep her, especially since Aaron gave her to you. That was a very thoughtful gift. She's cute where she is, but I hope you decide to put her where you can see more of her, like others said, maybe by the chicken coop. Thank you for sharing!
Oooh that purple waffle is beautiful!! It went straight into my planticorn wishlist!!!! 💜
Fun fact and useless info of the day: hemigraphis means half written (or even painted), from the greek words hemi (ημι-, half/semi-) and graphis (γραφίς/ γραφίδα, pen/any writing tool) 😊
The terrarium and statue look gorgeous too!!
Laura, I would have rested the statue on it's back & tested the paint at the bottom of the base, before going on with the staining. Also, I would place it where the entire statue is show case. It is a beautiful statue to be hidden away. @gardenanswer
Love the second color! So rich! Great job!
absolutely love the peasant girl statue.
Terrarium, so pretty. I love to watch while drinking coffee. Taking a break.
Wow, makes me want to re-look some things in my garden.
Russel is a polydactyl cat. Extra toes!
Also known as Hemingway’s cat because he loved them so much. Sailors favored polydactyl cats bc they bring good fortune, good climbers and hunters. Hemingway was given a polydactyl cat which he named Snow White. Her descendants and other polydactyl cats live in Key West at Hemingway’s home and museum.
Oh and nice plants and arrangements! Love it all have plans for next year’s garden. 😁
She looks great!!!💗
