Is your desktop touchscreen attached to a second screen of any kind? If you only have one display, then you will not be in dual screen mode. I hope that helps.
Excellent. Thank you for taking the time to do this and help so many people out :) Any tips on Audio? e.g. if the presentation screen has a video do you (and your students) get weird feedback through your mike?
Hi, this video was very helpful. Do you know how this would work using a Promethean board and laptop? I will be teaching from the classroom. I have one laptop that connects to the Promethean board and then I have a separate mobile laptop as well.
I have both screens connected to my one PC. Your Promethean board can work as the second screen to your desktop home screen. You will just select the dual screen mode within zoom to use the display on your Promethean board.
Thanks for this video! Is the maximum no. of students 10 that you can see at one time with the 2nd monitor? I'm planning to add a monitor because I have two upcoming classes where I willl need to see more than 4 students. :)
You are so welcome! The participants on the second screen can go up to a very large amount, much higher than 10. So, you should absolutely be ok. Yes, seeing more than 4 is AMAZING!!
@@kristysanywhereclassroom2042 Thanks so much, Kristy! I am going to attempt to set this new monitor up tonight. Wish me luck. BTW: I am a new subscriber. I watched two other videos on the same subject before yours, but they were way too techie. You began where I am. I really appreciate that!
Oh also, when you pin the screen, does that mean that on the student side, my screen is bigger than all the other screens? Will the kids still have gallery view or can I somehow make my screen the screen they see as the biggest? I was doing spotlight my video but I wasn't sure exactly how they see me on their side?!
Hi! Pinning on your side only impacts what you see. Spotlighting will impacting what your learners see. It will keep you enlarger and the primary focus when they are on speaker mode.
Hello! No, you will not have to. When you select dual screen modes in zoom, it will open on both screens. You can adjust where you want your windows to open. You will not open two zoom meetings/ accounts.
@@selwynramsamooj518 I am guessing it is because you will need to set up your second monitor through your display settings for your PC before trying to use it on zoom.
So crazy! I literally just got a monitor donated to me and spent the day trying to figure this out! So when you click in the settings on zoom, "use dual screens" is that how it is able to separate the kids from the shared content? I cant wait to try this tomorrow!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Thank you for this video! I bet your students adore you. :) I was hoping you might be able to answer this: When I share my screen, I would love for my (high school) students to be able to see a larger version of my face than just the thumbnail, to help them feel like it is me next to the board, as opposed to a disembodied voice over some slides. I know there is side-by-side mode for the VIEWER of a shared screen, but I was hoping to be able to create that effect as the host/sharer. Do you have any ideas? I feel like I'm missing something simple. Thank you in advance!
I'm Distance Learning Teacher, thank you so much for your clear instructions. I can't wait to try my dual screens. Thank you!
Very thorough and easy to follow! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial you did it like a Pro. Thank you.
Awsome, very helpful advice!!!
thank you so much! this really helped me!
Thank you teacher, I will gavr online training 20aug,why teacher told me must have doul monitors?!
If you have a second monitor plugged into your laptop or PC that will be your dual monitor (second screen option)
I don't have a monitor. I have a desktop touchscreen. Can it work with that screen as well?

Hi there! Do you open two zoom account for to be available to have 2 screen?

Do you know if this works with a iPad as the second screen?
I have not tried to use my iPad as a second screen. That is a great question. Using the monitor has been an easier connection for me.
Will this work on zoom if it is basic
Yes, I only have basic zoom.
I am seeing a question mark next to dual monitors will it still work cause it not doing anything
That is curious. I am not Sure why a question mark would be there. Do you already have your second monitor set up with your device?

Yes! It is so wonderful. You will be able to drag the two zoom screens onto your monitors once you click that setting option.
