Such a shame seeing someone's original dream just decaying in isolation. Imagine the blood sweat tears and hopes going into building these back in the day.
That TV was well worth the explore! Please be careful I was keeping my fingers crossed you didn't fall thru the floors, I hope you had sanitizer in your car. All that bird poop couldn't be healthy 😅.
Thank you for sharing yet another old girl lost in time. These are the best & it'll be even better when I watch this this afternoon munching on chocolate Easter eggs! Have you ever found any 1930 pennies?
Oh how this hurts to see such a beautiful home decay like this. I always wonder what incident happens for the family to say, let's leave and let our family home rot. Thank you for another awesome explore 😊
I use to think that too, then my parents passed away, dad 2018, mum 2021 and i could have just walked away from the house and left it as it was, which we pretty much did for 12 months, was just too hard to go back in, but my brother and i had to sell it, unfortunately. Dad built it, he and mum built 4 houses together.. now i always wonder if they have just been left by family they were left to
That looks like a tough old house for tough, hardworking, no nonsense people. The kitchen is large enough for a couple of people to prepare meals for a whole crew of family and workers. The surround painted to match the bright aqua kitchen stove is a nice touch.
I grew up on a large farm, with four generations of family houses nearby ! The original one had fire damage, but we were born in one just like this, but with a second storey - bullnose verandah, fireplaces, wood stove, attached kitchen and bathroom, etc - before we moved on to the main, early Edwardian house! My other family had three old houses on their property too! I used to explore all of them, until we moved away! I hear a happy new family has renovated and extended the original paternal family home, and the garden is in even better condition! I believe all but one are still liveable! My heart breaks for this old deserted bird house! 😪
It makes me sad to see these beautiful old houses go to ruin and I wonder about the families that lived there and loved the house all the babies born and played in those rooms sad
If it weren't for the apparent 70s newspaper clippings, I'd say it's been abandoned longer than that. The tv appeared to be from the 50s. Thanks for another tour Paul! 🤠👍 🇺🇸

What a classic find!! It appears that virtually nobody has walked into this house since it was abandoned. I think it was abandoned much earlier than 1990. (That phone book might have just been placed there by somebody). 1972 seems to more accurate.

Had a feeling you may know this one mate. I have driven past a few times over the years, finally decided to take a peek! :-) Yeah the old TV was a classic. Still got some great pics of it. Cheer or watching mate :-)
Regarding the old TV, I think I spotted an M on the front in the style of the Motorola brand, the Stereophonic name was just a bit of sales guff, they weren't stereo in 1956 which was when TV started in Australia, two speakers yes but not stereo I don't think.

Nice explore! Yeah, the pigeons made a bit of a messy, muck of the place, but that didn't change the floorplan of the place. With the old stove - did it come in that shade of aqua blue, or did the homeowners paint it to match the walls? If it came in that color, cool. Was the stove original to the house, or was it added with the 1930s touch-ups that were done? Interesting cavity you found, too bad you couldn't discover the entrance...but it's nice, sometimes, to leave some things to the imagination too. Keep up the fine explores and, as always, thanks for taking us along on the adventure!
Hi Tara :-) Thanks for the great support. That stove could be the original as it is a number one. The green ones really were popular around the 30`s though! :-)
It breaks my heart to know these Heritage farm houses have been left to fall apart. Our physical history gone. My family farm house had the same roof shape, same round black light switches ( until mum had it renovated ) and a Meters 2 wood stove. Farm sold in 2000. House still standing tho heard it was rented out at some stage by people that damaged it. Havnt been back since it sold. Mums precious garden all dead of course.
Looks like you could do with a torch mounted on a short telescopic pole. Just the thing to get some light well in front of the camera in those tight spots, to see into cellars & the like.
In old places as this you never know what you will come across especially in your country and these remote areas where there hasn't been many people in many years and probably no caretakers watching over the property.🤔🧐
I normally LOVE the farmhouses, but this one looks like it was a grim way to live- there couldn't have been much income at all to not have added anything but the thirties update, and I most certainly couldn't see living in this, like this, in the 80's. It looks like a large farm property- is it really rural? There were 2 bedrooms, with single beds? Plus the veranda lean-to. It wouldn't have been for the workers with the Art-Deco add on, but maybe later on? It would have been really hot and really cold. Hey, Paul, So, I was watching an interview with Lorde, I know she is from New Zealand. but she was saying that all summer you are bombarded with cicadas? And, that this year is some special 17 year explosion thing? Anyway, thank you for exploring this one!!!-SDK
Hi SDK :-) Yep this house was a real working the land house as most were back in the day but this one more so! 3 generation probably then it just sat to decay. Cheers for watching
I wonder why the brickwork is so deteriorated at the bottom of the walls in so many places. Almost seems like it was flooded around there a few times or something.
In the current housing crisis and needing to home my offspring I would totally move into this and do it up. It breaks my heart to see beautiful homes like this just neglected and left to rot.
The word "Stereophonic" would probably have not been used before 1955 or so,, its like a progression of modern improvements to the farmhouse as new ways presented themselves. Who ever the people were they must have been forward thinking. Cheers.
Have seen 2 up close Aileen and heard a few in the grass. I am sure they are always around though. Luckily they dont look for trouble and they avoid it. :-)
Hi Steve, yep Tony is correct Adelaide has reactive clay soil and is renown for its wall cracks. Adelaide also has the highest ratio of stone built homes in Australia which adds to it. Cheers for watching :-)
Would you consider traveling out of your area. To explore other houses, like some other explorers? Some other explorers do, and some just stay in their area. At least what I have seen. Are you six or so,is that how you were able to gauge how tall the basement was?
Such a shame seeing someone's original dream just decaying in isolation. Imagine the blood sweat tears and hopes going into building these back in the day.
Yep would of had a few generation of hard farming years then it just was left to decay. Cheers mate :-)
still a good house just needs love and care

In old places as this you never know what you will come across
especially in your country and these remote areas where there
hasn't been many people in many years and probably no caretakers
watching over the property.🤔🧐
Absolutely Roger, many more to come :-)
those light fixtures are worth heaps
Let’s do the time warp again! 👍😎🇦🇺
Cheer mate! Enjoyed your latest one too! :-)
Those windows are called louvre windows, very unusual to have coloured glass
I drive past this everyday and have wanted to explore. Did you do the one fenced off at the northern end of the road.
my granny had one those wood heated clothes basin outside in a cast iron frame ''' yeah they called it the .. copper ,,, copper basin'' ,,,
Never seen those mesh springs for mattresses before.
Do those corregatted metal roofs rust and leak eventually? Always wondered.
I wonder why the brickwork is so deteriorated at the bottom of the walls in so many places. Almost seems like it was flooded around there a few times or something.
Hi Gregory 🙂 that's what's know as salt damp from rising moisture from the soil. It brings up salt and dries causing deteriation
That place looks like it is longer than 30 years empty comparing it to other places you have shown
In the current housing crisis and needing to home my offspring I would totally move into this and do it up. It breaks my heart to see beautiful homes like this just neglected and left to rot.
No way u could live in that house without putting a ton of money and work into it😅😅😅
The word "Stereophonic" would probably have not been used before 1955 or so,, its like a progression of modern improvements to the farmhouse as new ways presented themselves. Who ever the people were they must have been forward thinking. Cheers.
That is a long tub and a big kitchen. When you hold the camera over the hole, I'm always afraid you will drop it.
Luckily I have not!! Yet....... haha cheers :-)
Do you ever come across the old Joe Blake?
Is Joe Blake rhyming slang for something? Genuine enquiry from ignorant person. ❣️
Joe Blake - snake
Thank you ✌️
Have seen 2 up close Aileen and heard a few in the grass. I am sure they are always around though. Luckily they dont look for trouble and they avoid it. :-)
Would have to be the worst case of rising damp I’ve seen in a house yet…
what was growing in the fields? I have a lot of catching up to do of your video's! Sorry it's been a little while
The television is a Motorola from about 1960.
Thankyou! 😊Will check out your channel 👍🙂
U don't put the District where the house was....but do when it's in the city?
The old place is full of cancer..I would like to also know, how come so many place in the Adelaide area suffer from so much cracking?
Poor foundations in a lot of older homes and reactive soil .
Hi Steve, yep Tony is correct Adelaide has reactive clay soil and is renown for its wall cracks. Adelaide also has the highest ratio of stone built homes in Australia which adds to it. Cheers for watching :-)
What do you mean by cancer?
Seems much longer than 33 years.
Yep. Agree I think the phone book may have been placed there after :-)
First!!

Do you like Art-Deco? Greetings from Germany!
❤
Would you consider traveling out of your area. To explore other houses, like some other explorers? Some other explorers do, and some just stay in their area. At least what I have seen. Are you six or so,is that how you were able to gauge how tall the basement was?
I am back and fourth from 2 states filming old homes that I find myself buts that's it. I'm not on the Urbex circuit. 😁 I am 6ft 4.
@@urbexindigo5164 You are really tall, but I been told everybody is taller than me. Which is true.😊
That T.V. might be from late thirties possibly too.
Worth a fortune if it was a 30`s TV :-)
There was no TV in Australia till the 50s
@@urbexindigo5164 Could be 40s or 50s.
