Everybody recognizes Tia and Tamera that goes without saying......but I also remember the lead singer Arike Rice. When she got older she was also with an R&B group named Before Dark that had a couple of hits. I also just read that she had a small part in Dreamgirls at the very beginning 👌🏾
Fall 1992. I had just started the 7th Grade. A lot of good things were happening then, and this song reminded me of them. KPRS 103.3 played this jam along with "Here We Go" by Portrait, "Weak" by SWV, and "Come and Talk To Me" by Jodeci. Like I said, good days of when music was music and blank cassettes were bought by the dozen.
1992 I just turned 21 and started clubbin in San Francisco. Fine guys in the club with their pagers, wearing cross colors and Timberlands...lol. DAMN those days were fun times. Who knew we were right on the brink of moving into the Internet age and the world would change forever.

The girls always caught up to us and beat us with their jump ropes. 😂 30 years later the boy and girl got married and she had this song playing as she walked down the isle. 😂
This group of young girls with Tia and Tamera sound amazing. The harmony and choreography are truly on point. The lead singer is great. This group could have gone further if picked up by Barry Gordy. They put me in mind of the Jackson Five. Young children's groups rocked in that era. Thanks Beyonce for giving them a shout out you all grow up successfully!

I think they came out around the time SWV did. I remember two groups coming out with voices in the title and we didn't know who was who. Always lived these girls and SWV too. Never knew it was Tia and Tamera till now lol. Man take me to these simpler times.
