The more 'things' something does; the fewer 'things' it does well.
So true
I got to the point that I’m buying pliers that only do one thing at a time.
@@markm0000 Oddly enough I had some tools in my truck for a specific job I get once in a blue moon. I had them in zippered pouches. I wanted to combine the pouches in a small Veto TP-XL . I ordered that Snap_On Combi cutters that doc featured a couple months ago. Cuts wires ties at the tip and wires towards the rivet. I thought those were slick and I only need one pair of cutters.
This tool is exactly what Amazon titles look like in real life.
Its primary feature is funds transfer.
😅😅👍🏻💸
I fell for a "Rambo Survival Knife" out of the back of a Soldier of Fortune magazine when I was a kid too.
Hey, that was a awesome knife. Got it for Christmas when I was 10.
Ha, so did I! Except I think mine was from either Popular Mechanics or a car/motorcycle magazine...
Tourniquet sold separately.
Better suited for self defense than home improvement
Ah, but can it defend you against yourself?
It's lacking a spirit level so you can check that your wires are vertical or horizontal when you install them.
strippers? they seem cheap at first, but in the long run they'll cost you your house and marriage.
I'm noticing you have tariff fever lately like me and my friends do, too. China makes some goofy stuff for sure and I'm not afraid to say they deserve our gratitude
they do though, if only for all the cheap useless 💩 you 'merkuns buy from them since your industry got _juic'd_ over there... 😏👆
Oh no. He picked up the finger remover first....
I'm not a fan of anything with that many features. At some point it just becomes junk. Thanks Doc
The little “knife” in the small circle looks like a “Stage Pin” splitting tool. Stage Pin connections are used frequently in the entertainment industry for 120v power connections. The splitter tool is used on the male connector pin to widen just a little bit for a firmer connection.
When something is not good enough to put your name (or any name) on it, well that's what we call a clue.
That tool is every electricians dream.
Lol that thing is hilarious 😂
Forgot the "electricians's wire strippers" part of the title 🤣🤣
🤣 That thing is nuts.
Definitely Godzilla. I’d be interested in seeing that taken apart to figure out the spring.
Doc's having a blast with this nonsense tool lol
I have seen yt shorts about these types of tools. Reminds me of the Rambo survival knives knockoffs . There are zero ergonomics in this tool. Thanks for posting!
Looks like Godzilla lol
You could make great dinosaur shadow puppets with the stripper in thumbnail.
From the side, it looks vaguely like Godzilla.
Come on China… you can do better. I mean by adding more features.
hollow handles to add some bits, a compass and some fishing line and hook in case you happen to work by the river and have some sudden fish cravings... 🤤
The Godzilla Electrician Multi-plier!
Gozilla only levels Tokyo though... 😸
Hello again, Doc
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I agree with you both of those tools look dangerous. My advice to you is let's keep the Red Snuff on the inside! Just my suggestion. Again thank you 👌
Roger that!
Reminds me of those weirdly designed multifunctional wire strippers I see on Amazon, Temu, and Facebook ads. They got some that fold up or have built in NCV tester.
That tool is made in Japan. The Godzilla look gave it away.
Flipper the dolphin approved
Probably an effect of being a tool hoarder but the more features, the less I like the tool. I was even disappointed with the knipex 6 in 1 pliers that I thought didn't do any of the functions besides the cutters particularly well. Even then, I have a set of their little cable shears that do that perfectly in a smaller form.
If it doesn't have a bottle opener, I'm not interested.
I hate to say it, but I've never seen a new "tool" that I've wanted to throw away more.
If I had it on the job, pronouncing its name would already make 2-day delays every week.
Not to mention at least 38 OSHA violations while using it.
Did you learn now? The pictures of that thing would have scared me. And it isn't a "name brand" that I recognize means I'll try to not let the door hit me on my way out.
lmao why does it have a knife edge 😭
For cutting wire sheathing
So you can accidentally cut your fingers without much effort? 😂
I tend to prefer single use tools. Hell, I don’t even like lineman pliers! 😂
Looks Medieval...
Both tools are JUNK.
Dolphin?
Pure yunk !
They could of at least put a flashlight on it ! Come on...
Constantly exposed knife edge. Nope!!!
lmao those are temu pliers i bought a diofferent model off temu for like 4 bucks u got ripped off paying 15
Just avoid Chinese hand tools.
Well they wouldn't make them if absolutely nobody buys them. I guess they do actually sell fairly well because they are so cheap and offer that many gimmicks, so people buy them for that. The realiziation that they might not do the job you need em to do well enough only comes later and due to the low price most people likely wont bother going through the hassle of returning them either.
The problem I see is mostly that even a tool like that can only be as cheap as it is cause china has vast overcapacities in manufacturing right now and is subsidizing those companies in order to keep people employed and prevent the bubble from bursting, so things that are more likely to end in a landfill instead of being used are produced. It's a massive waste of resources and also screws "earnest" companies who still have to compete with this.
A total pice of shit ! Mine has a dozen cut/pinch points and should come with sutures!
Why don't you use these tools? Everything you have is brand new. How can you give a solid review on something you don't even use?
Those things are an accident waiting to happen ! ! !
There is entirely way too much shit on them
