I have the g915 clicky. It's mediocore in all respects. The keystroke is too long, despite the shortened keycaps that imply a shorter throw, but in reality just exposes the keyboard to crumbs, lint, hair etc. I've pulled a cat hair out that was triggering the g key with tweezers. It's garbage. The G keys bug the other keys if you haven't set it up. F*ck that. They're also about three millimeters too close. Yeah, it matters. I agree the keyboard is "too long," but not because it's too big, because there's no shoulder on it at all. Which is deceptive. You end up moving it too close to the mouse because the edge and the key positions are off and your brain is trying to maximize the space. My next keyboard will be an IBM 4704. I'm done with this nonsense.

I forgot to mention that the reason battery indicator is set to flash at 15% is that under 20% every electronic device that uses lithium battery, create huge stress on the battery. This means the more you keep it unde 20% the faster your battery will die and the fewer cycles you can have.
I know this is your first keyboard review so I have a couple of critiques. First, the video is 17:41 minutes long. It should’ve been 17:42 because 17:41 is just too short. Second, I saw a spec of dust on the keyboard when looking through my handy dandy magnifying glass. Other than that, this was the best keyboard review on RUclips; trust me I checked. It took me almost a month to decide on a keyboard. I ended up going with Razer huntsman Elite, but had I seen this review, I would’ve probably chosen this one. Thanks man and great reviews as always.

I'm a software engineer and I'm rocking the GMMK TKL, kinda missing the numpad and media controls, I'm also on a quest for the least wires setup, not much choices in the market at the moment sadly.
I've bought a g915 tkl with tactile switches 3 months ago and I am pretty impressed with it. I played 4 hours straight, my joints, fingers weren't tired at all, plus I am a couch gamer, g915 tkl, has everything I need.
Just got myself the G915 TKL with GL Linear switches (red) and I can say that I love it. Very quiet for a mechanical keyboard. I think the low profile helps as well with this. At first I was thinking for the full size, but after I saw the TKL has 10 hours longer life for battery and numpad is just for dust (for me). I got it for 150$. I think it's the real price for it
"There's nothing wrong with it, I just like new stuff..." Is probably what will be written on my tombstone once I've been slain by the emptiness slowly making its way from my wallet to my fridge and stomach
I just got this keyboard over a week ago. Truely an amazing keyboard so far. It is great looking and incredibly thin. I got the clicky version, it is not loud at all. The click sound provides a great feedback and is pretty satisfying. And it doesn't have issue like a lot of other RGB keyboard -- light leaking out from the gap of the keys. I also find the volume wheel very useful. So far, a great purchase.
Linear switches feels like a elevator button. No feedback until you press all the way. Tactile switches has a tactile feedback half way through think of it as iPhone home button or DSLR CAMERA where you half press to focus and full press to take the shot. No viberation on keystroke Tactile switch - phone on silent but vibrate on key stroke ( vibration is the tactile feedback) Clicky Switch - volume on vibrate on key stroke. You will hear the keys clicking and feel it.
I purchased this keyboard and I absolutely love it. I have nothing negative to say about it. I paid 180 for mine and it was money well spent. Small price to pay for a great performance!

I've had the 915TKL in white (which only comes in Tactile) for about 6 months and it is one of my favorite keyboards. I was upgrading from the Steel Series original Apex Pro so this was a big upgrade. I didn't like that the White version doesn't get a choice of key types, but I've been fine with the tactile not having experienced the others. The build quality has been great so far, but mine came with a black, rubberized cable, not a braided one, so it doesn't match, looks bad, and I'm afraid it won't last as long as the keyboard. I appreciate being able to switch between light speed/bluetooth with a button press to hop between typing on my Windows PC and my Mac. I pair it with my Razer Tartarus Pro in White and the Razer Atheris in White so it all looks pretty good together. I've enjoyed it so much, I'm getting the black G915TKL (linear) and the Corsair K63 lap board for console gaming on my couch.

Thanks for describing the difference between tactile, linear, and clicky! I'm a keyboard baby and didn't know what those meant, and I didn't know what type I tried at the electronics store until I watched your video :) (it had probably been linear, since I was surprised by how much I liked the feeling of not having to press so hard)
The way I fixed the number pad problem is by buying a 3rd party one. It sits on my desk above my mouse, and I use it for data entry such as 2FA and budgeting numbers. I still find number pads super valuable (which is why I paid good money for a mechanical switch version), but I actually use my mouse about 2-5" away from my keyboard as I primary type (I'm a software engineer). It's far more comfortable to use a TKL model which is why I personally switched about 6 years ago.
Sorry to reply to such an old post, but I found your comment super helpful. I was considering switching to a TKL keyboard form factor for more mouse space (and also for a cleaner desk), but was still thinking about all those times I like to use a numpad, entering passwords, doing calculations, sometimes using for controls (helicopter/plane games, or older games that are controlled by the numpad). Basically, as dispensable as the numpad might appear, it's actually incredibly useful and I wouldn't want to miss it. Your suggestions to get a separate 3rd party numpad is just excellent. Like you said, that way you can still use it when needed (having it above your mouse, or under your monitor, out of the way), and still get a TKL keyboard for a clean desk. I really appreciate the eye-opening suggestion.
I absolutely agree about the 20dollar keyboard feeling coming from the tactile switches. I have used it for a few days and still havent gotten over the feeling.
Thank you for this comprehensive review of G915 TKL. Well worth commenting rather than other superficial reviews. Learned some key functions what I was wondering about. Brightness adjustment, game mode disable selective keys, etc. I got TKL version as a present with second hand PC when I said I have no keyboard. Generous from Tom and I can say I like the keyboard. never knew about mechanic and rgb keyboards as never had PC. I have imac from 2011. I do like imac's low profile keyboard, it keeps serving me for last 13 years, I haven't even deep cleaned it yet. thanks
4 years later and I just got myself one, still pricey (just less than half what it was) and seriously loving it. I got the TKL version and couldn't figure out the M1 etc keys (totally missed the FN key on the right side so Dur! on me but got there thanks to you) - great review and cheers... 👍
LOL, I just got one too. Actually a mistake, I was intending to get the full size version, but now it looks like that one can only program the 5 G keys, while TKL can custom all 12 Function keys? What the heck is up with that? The look and feel of this is fantastic though.
I recommend buying a deskpad that allows you to fit both your keyboard and your mouse on it. It'll make the keyboard sound different, and in a better way (imo). Stacking coins on top of the keys is also a good way to measure their actuation force and whatnot.
Thanks for the great video bro! when i was done watching it I wanted to give a thumbs up and was shocked by how many subs you have, I thought you had over 1 mil lol
This was a really helpful review and i've watched a few on this keyboard already. You're also the first I noticed mention the G815 as an alternative. Nice work!
enjoyed the video. maybe adding some different scene transitions in video editing or some quiet background music? Just a couple things I noticed were missing, which I don't notice in videos usually, you know? But very professional and helpful. Wooting makes an analog keyboard that I'm hoping to hear more reviews on?
great video!! this helped me so much when trying to choose which Logitech keyboard I wanted to buy, slightly long but worth the time it took to watch it all!!! keep up the great work!!! :)
@@MechaPlays i got the red linear switches i love the keyboard very simple great keyboard i will be using it for a very lontime...it also is great with the macros and volume scroll wheel
This is, by far, the best g915 review I have found online. Thank you! Btw, I recently bought the linear version of they keyboard. I can't say I am very excited about the quality/feeling of the switches. I will probably send it back.
I've had the G815 for 3 years and all the blue led's are dying. Unbelievably bad quality of LED's Logitech uses. Also the overall build quality is pretty bad, especially for the premium price. However I do enjoy typing on this board more than anything I've used before, and if I ever were to replace it I'd definitely look to buy another low profile board, probably not Logitech tho...
The prices can’t be justified since keyboards industry is stacked now, you buy mechanical keyboard for it’s switches and stabilizers which doesn’t look premium here
i bought one. i never looked at another keyboard. i am getting another for my 2nd setup at another home. the low profile, wireless nature and switches are a GODSEND.
I have the g915 (with the keypad + linear) and I don't notice any issues with wobbly keys. The board types beautifully. The key caps are pretty strong and unless you're some sort of animal they won't break. Best keyboard I have ever owned. Yes the usb A was a poor choice but it doesn't really matter. Actually, at least I won't have to worry about anyone stealing it, or taking it with me in a rush, so actually it's a bonus. The keyboard weight is great. Never had any issues with it sliding. Battery is decent and if I'm 8+ hours a day in it, I get probably 5-7 days on a charge with RGB on. Overall, I'm looking at getting the TKL too, because with certain apps I don't need a keypad, and with the full size keyboard, I tend to bump the corner of the board with my mouse (502x) and the thumb button lines up perfectly with the corner. So, I had to set the thumb button as a something that won't harm my data. But that's just how my setup fits me. Might be different for you. I'd buy this again but I'd search for a good used one because new models are expensive. Too expensive...but I buy a keyboard about every 10 years so I treated myself.
Micro USB = NOT WORTH IT. I've broken enough micro USB ports to know these are not worth it in 2020. ABS = NOT WORTH IT. Seriously, for the price, they couldn't afford PBT? (Not metal like mentioned, of course) PRICE = NOT WORTH IT. I use a $70 low profile keyboard, both TKL and full. Only difference is they are wired. $200 for wireless? No thanks. Cheaper keyboards manage to have PBT keycaps on them, at less than $100, and some have USB C. The price and materials used just do not compute. ... In my opinion, it is just overpriced. Logitech was once a good brand, that went the way of the Apple and Razer when it comes to premium prices, but does not have the materials and parts to back it up.
This is without a doubt the absolute BEST review for this keyboard I’ve seen! You’ve helped me make the decision to buy the TKL version so so so much easier! I appreciate this video so much that I’m pleased to say that you’ve just earnt a new subscriber
I've been using this keyboard in the 'Tactile' version (it's the only one with the Spanish QWERTY layout) and I must say that it's the best keyboard I've ever used... Until now I've used membrane keyboards and, the truth is that I would not use them again, if I can choice. I love it.
Biggest disappointment that I had with this £200 keyboard is the fact that with that price I expected quality, but instead my WASD keys are now looking like they've been through war. Paint has stripped right off them, and funny thing, made me realise that the LED underneath only covers the letters not the entire switch, so now with top and bottom wear and tear, my WASD keys look horrible and poorly lit. Dont get me wrong, I do love this keyboard and typing on it is amazing. I've got the tactile keys smaller version, and the travel isn't deep/far, so your finger dont get tired after hours of typing. Only criticism is paint coming off on my most used keys only after having it for about 6 months.
I personally think that you adapt to the keyboard you use and thus you think you prefer one more than the other, it just depends what your used to, and you can be used to any style if your willing to give other things a chance.
Amazing job man. I checked your yt channel too, you do serious job! Congrats. You earned another sub and like. Thank you for the review, it really helped my purchase desicion between those products
I used to have the K95 Keyboard and really like the scrolling audio wheel, what I didn't like is how HUGE it is, very long and got in the way of my mouse. I did however enjoy using the keyboard but I killed it by spilling a cup of tea on it.
Lots pf info and plenty of details on all 3 profiles. Thanks for all your hard work and research. I've been a fan of Logitech keyboards for years, as I've had their G15 1st Gen then moved to the 2nd Gen. I think it's time to make the jump to this wireless beast.
First :)) No jokes though, this is an amazing review for your first keyboard review! Definitely excited for the cheaper keyboard coming soon to see what you think about the price difference between both of them and if it's a worth buy for the G915!

Your suggestions to get a separate 3rd party numpad is just excellent. Like you said, that way you can still use it when needed (having it above your mouse, or under your monitor, out of the way), and still get a TKL keyboard for a clean desk. I really appreciate the eye-opening suggestion.
@@VladimirMizich What an awesome response! :) Glad it helped! I still use my separate number pad even today.
Thank you for not selling out and giving such a great review, man. Keep up the awesome work.
I absolutely agree about the 20dollar keyboard feeling coming from the tactile switches. I have used it for a few days and still havent gotten over the feeling.
An honest review unlike shitload of ads disguised as reviews...
I do like imac's low profile keyboard, it keeps serving me for last 13 years, I haven't even deep cleaned it yet. thanks
I gotta say, this is a super high quality review. Definetly gonna go check out more of your stuff!
The 915 TKL is going to go so well with my G Pro Wireless 😍😍 thanks for the killer review again!
I recommend buying a deskpad that allows you to fit both your keyboard and your mouse on it. It'll make the keyboard sound different, and in a better way (imo). Stacking coins on top of the keys is also a good way to measure their actuation force and whatnot.
oh wow, didn’t even think of that. I’ll try that next! Thank you
@@BijanJamshidi Always use a deskpad! haha.
I am using a 5-year-old company laptop with some dead function keys..., why I am even watching this?
This review is just amazing ! Never mind it was your first review, amazing job !
Fantastic review. Love the comment about the numpad which I'm thinking about leaving away more and more.
Thanks for the great video bro! when i was done watching it I wanted to give a thumbs up and was shocked by how many subs you have, I thought you had over 1 mil lol
I wish the tkl one had gkeys still, it is a real stretch to hit FN and an f key with the right hand still on the mouse.
Awesome work!
This was a really helpful review and i've watched a few on this keyboard already. You're also the first I noticed mention the G815 as an alternative. Nice work!
I watch alot of reviews. But this is the best one yet. Your detail breaks down of the type of switches was absolutely on point.
I bought this keyboard. Expensive, but worth it, I LOVE it.
i think you are completely on point with the switches i only tried clicky and tactile and i liked clicky the best
enjoyed the video. maybe adding some different scene transitions in video editing or some quiet background music? Just a couple things I noticed were missing, which I don't notice in videos usually, you know? But very professional and helpful.
Wooting makes an analog keyboard that I'm hoping to hear more reviews on?
i like your confidence at the end of the video. keep it up bruh!
wow bro, 7k subs....first keyboard review????? you knocked it out of the park with this video!!
great video!! this helped me so much when trying to choose which Logitech keyboard I wanted to buy, slightly long but worth the time it took to watch it all!!! keep up the great work!!! :)
What did you decide on in the end? Just curious. In the market for a wireless tkl, this looks perfect, minus the lack of keycap support D:
@@MechaPlays i got the red linear switches i love the keyboard very simple great keyboard i will be using it for a very lontime...it also is great with the macros and volume scroll wheel
I have them both and love them. I have the full size for my desk and a TKL for my TV. Great review by the way.
First time on your channel. Love your review. Left with all questions answered. Subbed.
Great video and review. Thank you.
This is, by far, the best g915 review I have found online. Thank you! Btw, I recently bought the linear version of they keyboard. I can't say I am very excited about the quality/feeling of the switches. I will probably send it back.
Amazing review! I was amazed with the power consumption of the backlight! Thank you
Just here to say I've had the 915 for about 3 years now.....not 1 single issue lol I'd buy another one. If I ever have to! This thing is SOLID!
This is a really high quality review. Subscribed!
You're one of the best reviewers I have ever seen. You have a great advantage explaining. I already suscribed , keep going dude , awesome video
9:08 You are on a tkl keyboard, there is no number pad hence you should NOT expect a numeric lock
BRUH. Total brain fart.
Excellent review! This channel is awesome. Subscribed and liked the video. Excellent presentation too!
The prices can’t be justified since keyboards industry is stacked now, you buy mechanical keyboard for it’s switches and stabilizers which doesn’t look premium here
How many are wireless and low profile? Not many reliable options if any with those features, even if they don't matter to you
It goes on sale for 170 all the time if you broke just say that
@@Richard-rp6ns don’t cry😂
underrated channel, great review.
i bought one. i never looked at another keyboard. i am getting another for my 2nd setup at another home. the low profile, wireless nature and switches are a GODSEND.
Worked with wire too?
@@usamamalik3672 yesp
Yes
(Not metal like mentioned, of course)
PRICE = NOT WORTH IT.
Logitech was once a good brand, that went the way of the Apple and Razer when it comes to premium prices, but does not have the materials and parts to back it up.
silverberet Which keyboard do you use? (The $70 one)
@@alexvswrld HAVIT low profile keyboards. They use Kaihl choc switches HV-KB395L for the full size and HV-KB390L for TKL.
@@staticvoidmain That's not a wireless keyboard you dork!
@@jeshiy7751 never said it was.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I can’t seem to find any other wireless, tkl, and slim keyboard on the market.
Thanks for the good review!
nice review. very detailed and unbiased
loving the reviews and the work put into the production. can't wait to see your channel blow up
I almost bought this but the details in this video changed my mind. Very good review.
This is without a doubt the absolute BEST review for this keyboard I’ve seen! You’ve helped me make the decision to buy the TKL version so so so much easier! I appreciate this video so much that I’m pleased to say that you’ve just earnt a new subscriber
"I tap the button quick so I don't feel the cheapness" 😂
Laughed, paused, subscribed, resumed. 👍
Best review, thanks for the detail and going inside all of your experience. You’ve got me sold on the linear! Thank you
you're gaining subs fast as hell nice job
I've been using this keyboard in the 'Tactile' version (it's the only one with the Spanish QWERTY layout) and I must say that it's the best keyboard I've ever used... Until now I've used membrane keyboards and, the truth is that I would not use them again, if I can choice. I love it.
I love comparison to K95 and bought 915 tactile full size after your review. Cheers.
man i get so happy everytime i see your channel when i search for something
the indent on caps is so you dont press it accidentally when pressing a. happened a lot on my old keyboard
Digging up that video - 1st thanks for the comparison - and 2nd, what's the reference of your apple watch band ? I love it - thanks
Good review, thanks, I just missed a little more time testing the sound of each switch
One of the best reviews i ever saw. Checking your other content and may subscribe
nice video brother! can you review the top tier steel series keyboard. i forgot the name
It’s called the apex pro
Edit: the apex pro and the apex pro tkl
rxse_ oh ok thanks for letting me know!
I personally think that you adapt to the keyboard you use and thus you think you prefer one more than the other, it just depends what your used to, and you can be used to any style if your willing to give other things a chance.
Great job with your first keyboard video. Very informative and insightful. Keep it up!
The best review for this keyboard, thank you very much.
Very detailed and super informative. Thanks
Excellent video! Thank you!
Love the food scale test :D
I am still using the Logitech G510 for 10 years now . And i think i will by myself the G915 Thanks bro
Lots pf info and plenty of details on all 3 profiles. Thanks for all your hard work and research. I've been a fan of Logitech keyboards for years, as I've had their G15 1st Gen then moved to the 2nd Gen. I think it's time to make the jump to this wireless beast.
before buying keep in mind the shortcut macro keys on the left would be distracting for some. certainly did for me
I came for the switches, thank you for the easy to find time stamps
Where you get that black shirt? is dope!
after using the 815 and 915, im currently waiting for the TKL... great video!
First :)) No jokes though, this is an amazing review for your first keyboard review! Definitely excited for the cheaper keyboard coming soon to see what you think about the price difference between both of them and if it's a worth buy for the G915!
