Yeah… the art style they went with is pretty jarring They really should have done something more stylised or just more pleasant to look at than the low poly basic generic style they went with Might and magic 2 pixel art battles look way better visually than this low visual fidelity mess.

CA's main enemy isn't Paradox, it's Sega. Sega sees no value in the Total War franchise - insisting that TW is too niche, not generic enough to have wide demand - hence the lacklustre Total War: Pharaoh and .... Hyenas.

Bruh. Kleaper really tried to make this game look not as boring as it is. But its still obvious. Like every chaos event is basically: pay up or something bad is going to happen. Esthetics of the game are mega generic and not appealing. Battles do not require much thinking at all. Just gather army with bigger number and you win. The only interesting part is the age progression. But I dont think its redeeming enough.

The "Age of the Old Ones". ...It *might* be a bit of a trick to pull off, though, so that could be why.
