Finally a fellow Living with the Land enjoyer! It's my safe place to get away from the noise and take a break.

YES DO DISNEYLAND!!!! You can smush the highlights into one day. Park hopping is soooo much easier there than at WDW. DL is beautiful and magical af and being the Disney lovers you are, I think you’ll absolutely love it.

It's great to see you both loving Disney.. 100% go buy the yearly pass. As for getting the deals done.,you seem to push yourself to the last minute or second to get yourself over the line!!! Good luck to you both. 🍀💚

"Life is brief, enjoy Disney." Amen, sister! Love Boardwalk, too, but Animal Kingdom Lodge is where it's at. Look into renting DVC points through a third party, I stayed in a Boardwalk Villa for 3 nights for the same price as a moderate resort, AND the DVC villas are included with the extended hours for Deluxe guests if any of them are offered during your stay. I'm a passholder based in NY, if you go more than 10 days a year it is worth it. I also like to go in shorter bites several times a year vs. long weeks once or twice a year so it really can work out well. I am not brave enough to do a one day trip, direct flights from Syracuse are available but unreliable at best, lol. Re: Disneyland. Depending on when your day is it may be challenging. Weekends can be a little crazy. It's a much more SoCal locals park so a lot of passholders go on weekends. Depending on time of year it can be a big difference between a Wednesday and a Saturday. If you have just one day I think going to the original park (not California Adventure) for vibes and classic Walt-inspired wonderment all over the place you can totally do that. My suggestion would be to use Multipass there (it works much more like the classic Fast Pass system than the WDW version does, it's so much better) and ride the attractions that are only available on the West coast. But make sure you ride Pirates!

Maybe look into DVC? That’s how my family was able to afford Boardwalk on our semi annual trips. Also, don’t feel bad not renting bikes. I’ve been staying there since the late 90s and still have yet to rent one. I always want to!

Did you figure out that you can walk to DHS too from Boardwalk? It’s about the same or less than walking to skyliner station.
