Fascinating observations about how Ulysses brings the world of Edwardian Dublin alive. I live on the other side of the world, but sometimes it feels like I know Dublin in 1904 better than my own town.

I'm suprised I am making the first comment. Ulysses changed my life alot on many levels it changed my soul and this is really better than I could imagine being from australia and not ireland.

This is the best review of Ulysses I’ve heard. In prep to beginning book, I’m doing review of what RUclips has to say.

Keep going. When you finish that book and hold it in your hands you will feel like you are holding life itself between your palms.

Hey Colum, its funny; you just came to mind so I thought I would look you up. We worked together at Miracle Farm. We used to sit out on the caboose and talk. Do you remember when I got kicked out of a pub so we both had to leave. Crazy days. Glad you are successful and doing well. God bless you.

Shit I touched something I should'nt have...and I've spent so much time walking round Dublin pub crawls, theatre, cinema,Bewleys,Stephens Green, listening to conversations in pubs, buses, shops, stores, streets etc.I read Ulysses at least 3 times and have gone back many times to read bits and pieces of the book. There is no doubt that it is the DUBLINERS BIBLE or IRISH BIBLE.Brilliant in many many ways.A work of pure genius that captures the lives, the inner thoughts of the characters, the movements, the humour, you can actually hear them speak and see through their eyes, feel the atmosphere, even feel the weather changing.Joyce was meticulous. The detail. It's like everything and everybody was put under a microscope. He was a true genius.I have lived away from Dublin for 26 years now and when I read Joyce I'm back there. It's always there just a moment away.God bless you James Joyce!💚

Blindly calling someone a narcissist without explanation is a clear sign that you are actually the narcissist.
