I absolutely LOVED this, I need to be reminded that consistency is key to growth and development. Whenever I take time to create, I'm frequently surprised about how well it turned out! So, thank you for this I and especially loved that mentioned the Bible and how you applied it to your art and the process of growth; well done!!!❤
Wow! I'm so glad to hear this. Thanks for the feedback. I really do believe that we are "created to create." When we do, we can experience a lot of peace. [Of course, there are times I get frustrated too. Which usually means I just have to take a step back and get perspective]. :-) I hope you experience that lovely SURPRISE of creation again today. God bless you!
I too so appreciate todays video and the bible content. I find i need to be reminded, often, of the steps to growth & that sometimes my steps are imperceptible. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I just had a painting I worked hard on go sideways at the last moment, so I was feeling pretty down about it. But you're right, mindset is a big part of the process.
On almost a daily basis, I find that a shift in my mindset (which for me almost always has to do with prayer), totally changes my experience...my emotions...even my decisions! I know that many others have this experience too. It is powerful. I hope you are able to tackle that painting again....with a fresh mindset...and are encouraged. Have a great day!! :-)
Thanks so much Kris, absoluut perfect time for me to hear this advice. Thanks again for providing hope and to trust the process, and keep shining your bright light.
You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback. I felt inspired to create a video on this topic, and from all the feedback and comments I am getting, it looks like others needed to hear these words. That is my hope for this channel -- that it is an encouragement and source of helpful instruction. Have a great day!!
Thank you Kris. I loved this video. I remind myself that I am working with professionals; they know what their job is, it's mine to trust them, and to improve my knowledge and skills to keep up with them. 🎉
Couldn’t have said it better myself! The one word I might add to the equation is ‘work’. Learning this medium has involved years of study for me and I’m far from mastering it. Watercolor is just downright HARD! Thanks for a great video.
I absolutely love this comment. Thank you. I agree. It is work. For me...I think the concept of work is contained in the idea of painting DAILY. That takes discipline and fortitude...which looks a lot like WORK! Have a great day and keep on learning and growing!
This is such a lovely video imparting some very key points in a very simple way. Thank you this is something I had to listen to to push my self forward 😊 There is so much to learn from artists like you
Great advice and truth ! Thanks for your channel, and my motivation comes from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I love painting His creation! He is the Master Of Creating, so it’s my privilege to paint for Him, everyday. Your new classes look great! Thx again, - Messy Mendy 👍🎨🖌🙏🏻
Hi again Messy. I have a license plate on my car that reads -- "Watercolor Artist: Created to Create" This expresses the same truth you are saying here, I believe. Glad to meet you! God Bless you.
@@KrisDeBruineStudio That’s awesome Kris! I’m sitting here today with my filled “Quiller” (Meeden),Pallete; trying to put the correct names to the CRAZY names thatMission Gold assigned To the pigment numbers. I have the 36 pure pigment set. I know that you are familiar to Mission Gold, I may need to contact you later, lol! Keeping my D.S. 1/2 pans separate for now…(we will see how long that lasts. 🤗) Thx!
I’ve really enjoyed your videos and I’ve learned a lot. I don’t like that you’ve included religion in this latest video. Your points were good and could have been communicated without quoting the Bible.
Hi Tricia. I didn't mean to offend. Just speaking from the overflow of my heart. I hope you have a great day and enjoy the process of creating something beautiful! I'm glad you are part of this community.
