Hi Julie, you know there are a bunch of Opal hunters, in the outback saying, “she made what? … You can’t tell the difference? …. Then what are we doing out in this heat? !!!” 😂😂😂 They look great. ❤❤❤
These are beautiful Julie! 😍🤩😍 The potential colour combinations are enormous. It's also something I've added to my 'must try' list. Thank you so much for sharing your experiments and craft with us. 😊🙏
Ohhh WOW Chica!, these turned out magnificent! I didn't know what to expect when you were first starting but the end result made me say, " Look how stunning these came out!" If I hadn't watched you I would have thought that you bought them. I love the sparkly shine they both have to them and the oval look just makes it look so classy. Your hands made some classy looking pendants. OH yeah the silver chains you got for both of them, are a perfect fit for each pendant. Bravo 👏 Chica! If I got these as a gift I would treasure them. That how much I love them. ❤🎉😊
Julie they are fantastic! Opals are my very favorite gem!☺️ Maybe next time try a tad of each of the colors in them, cuz opals turn all sorts of colors in the light. Great job!! Jennie
I love it and wish to see some of the other colors. Maybe with a couple layers with the white ink and then a few layers with just the clear and the flakes.
Hi Julie. As always, absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again for another video. I always look forward to your videos. I believe what you added are iridescent mylar flakes. They are often used in nail art. If you can't find those exact ones you should be able to find something similar on Amazon, Temu, Shein, ect. Thanks again for the video.
I believe they are mylar flakes. Same material some balloons are made of, iridescent gift basket wrap. Probably stickers and other things you have used before as well. Took me a while to remember the name too. 😉
The mystery product looks like an extra chunky interference flake. Bigger flakes than some you get with the LR chameleon options that are also more delicate, and transparent would achieve the effect more easily than anything thicker, or more opaque. These have turned out very nicely because of the flake being a good imitation for the glittering inclusion effects opals naturally have. I'd love to see an attempt to imitate the famous Aussie blue opals down the line. 😄
Awesome Video Julie also i like both of them Julie👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Julie, I love the pendants. They are so pretty. What a lovely gift they would make. I am concerned about your new light. It doesn’t appear as if the 2 min light is coming on. It should.
Opal is my birthstone! I just turned 65 last Sunday! You do know that you do not have to use that UV lamp on top of the bottom base? You can actually just move the top of it over where your pieces are with having to move them!
Having collected Opals over the course of my 65 years, I can tell you that they are the softest jam, and if not oiled regularly, they will break! That being said, these won't ever break! Because they're made with resin. Secondly, true opal have shimmers of white, pink and blue together! Did you know that?
I would LOVE for you to do a detail on how you get LR Fast Cure to have no bubbles! I have their bubble remover and everything and it either flash cures or it’s just to think to get the bubbles out!
You did make them before and record it #1207! Think it may not have been UV resin tho, These look lovely as well ❤ x Aww just looked and it wasn’t with resin at all haha. Knew I’d seen you do them tho 😊
It’s a pity we can’t see any colours , Did you see the ones Daniel did, ? I don’t know which opal flakes he used, but you couldn’t.see the different between real and fake lol.

Hello Julie. I have the same opal flakes. I got mine from Temu. I love these!

So lovely. Best ones I've seen made I'm other videos.
Fabulous! Maybe try a black background next time - that's what unscrupulous opal dealers do to sell them for more money!
Yes, a thin.black background will make the the colors really pop..😍
Hey Julie! These are so pretty, I like the pinkish one too. Yes, it would be awesome to do more with different colors. Big hugs from Texas!😍😁🤩

Very nice faux opals! The pink one is a bit warmer... the blue is just as pretty but more.... calming. Not sure which i like best.
Julie, I love the pendants. They are so pretty. What a lovely gift they would make. I am concerned about your new light. It doesn’t appear as if the 2 min light is coming on. It should.
I got some of those for wish 😊

@ArkMedic1 yes I do 😍
You might try mixing the Flakes in the uv resin first, then do layers until you get it as full as you like

Those look really nice. Would love to see some of the other colors. Do you think they'd work in black semi transparent resin? Hmmmmm. xoxooxoxooxoxo
I would LOVE for you to do a detail on how you get LR Fast Cure to have no bubbles! I have their bubble remover and everything and it either flash cures or it’s just to think to get the bubbles out!
I think I’d try my first layer white then layer with clear to get a crystal opal look. I think you could see the layers clearer.
@@patriciagregorowicz8141 I think they look more natural when they are more opaque
Milky Opal
can you use your white pigment paste as a sinker white?
Maybe try that in a cabochon mold, then pop it in the bezel??
A faux opal.
A “fauxpal,” if you will.
Edit: they’re lovely; yes, would like to see more colors!
I don't know much about opals but do like a Fire Opal...I wonder if you could recreate those?
Fauxpals!
I would like to treat myself to the pinkish one with snake chain for my birthday. Where do I get it? I would love to have it made personally by you!
I really like the lets Resin uV light .Where can we Buy it?
You did make them before and record it #1207! Think it may not have been UV resin tho, These look lovely as well ❤ x
Aww just looked and it wasn’t with resin at all haha. Knew I’d seen you do them tho 😊
It almost looks like they can glow in the dark
Turn that UV light off by pushing the power button 4 times. 😊
Gorgeous puppies but a Little Distracting. X
Hola. Las escamas tienes que ponerlas con una cuchara
You can turn the lamp off. You have to cycle through all the settings.
👍
You just keep clicking on the power button until it goes off. The 1st click is the first timer and so on.
❤😊
You can just put the top cover over the pieces without moving your work too
Make a peacock mold
💓💗💓
It’s a pity we can’t see any colours , Did you see the ones Daniel did, ? I don’t know which opal flakes he used, but you couldn’t.see the different between real and fake lol.
