A sought after party gift. The mini WONDERLIER bowl. Great for spare meds or aspirin. Or the spare dimes or quarters for the pay phone. The cranberry color bowls were available in early 80s. Used to be a great item to give for booking parties.

Then, in the late 90s this changed slowly but steadily to poor man´s markets, and the good stuff went over to the antique markets. It is what it is...Greets from GER, U.

I visited your country in the early 1960s. Beautiful, clean, country. Nice people but some still didn't like Americans post WWII. I remember seeing devastation next to new growth. We had a flat tire on a 1958 Pontiac somewhere in Germany. My grandmother knocked on a door and said "toilet" and the lady let her in. My grandmother shook her hand and said thank you when she left. For days afterward she talked about how clean and pretty the house was. That one incident did more for international relations than you think. For the rest of her and my grandpa's life when they talked about their European trip they mentioned the flat tire/bathroom incident. And--- if any stranger or known person, asked to use the loo at her house, there was no question about access. How many years since and that I still remember.

@@lynnmaupin-simpson1215 A very interesting and also funny story, Lynn ! In the early 60s, most of the war damages were repaired, and the economy in Western Europe (similar to the US during this time) was booming. The Greenback was very strong against most other foreign currencies, and so lots of American tourists came over here. This has changed dramatically. Only few guys fom America, but tons of folks from East Asia (especially China) are visiting now our tourist spots. Bummer, but it is what it is... Greets from the other side of the Atlantic. U.

Tupperware container, I've got two in a draw. One life that & one without the chain. My mom, many years ago, sold Tupperware, the small items were "free gifts" handed out during games. The orange peeler was in the same category (the small jug also). If you take meds, could take them in it, or carry a aspirin in case of headache or such. Four to eight dollars for what was a freebie, I'm surprised! Great finds for a slow day. 👍👍

@@just.j5302 I'm going to my cousin's 100 birthday party and the state has sky rocketing variant and regular Covid numbers. I have such fear this will be her undoing. I am a nurse and have lost 4 coworkers to Covid. 2 caught Covid while we sorely lacked PPE. We were wearing 15minute proceedure masks for 3 x 12 hour shifts. They left spouses and children. The last 2 didn't know where they got it. PPE and vaccines were readily available. One was working 6 x 12 hour shifts split between 2 hospitals. She always worked overtime when asked which means she lost her only day off. She was dead in 10 days. They think family passed it to her because she was not the only death in the family in that time period.
It's like the basketball team in the playoffs( I don't follow sports so don't know the particulars. I just heard the sportscasters chilling remarks). Only 2 team members were not vaccinated. They tested positive. They were knocked out of a once in a lifetime experience because of the the inaction of 2. So sad. So unnecessary. The shot is free. If you are hospitalized your hospital bill will be staggering. You will be leaving your family funeral and hospital expenses if you do not survive. If you think your insurance will pay you don't live in a real world.

You can't make them see, that by refusing to take ANY preventative measures, they are giving it vectors, and more time to replicate & circulate...and the more it replicates & circulates...the more it mutates, & thus the more dangerous it becomes.
I went for my BSN, but changed my major with a year of clinicals to go...wound up with bio undergrad degree...I told my family last summer, when everyone was still being stupid, that if I were a nurse or Doctor, I would remove my gear & walk out.
They don't have to risk their lives for idiots, nor should they.
They should tell some of these people refusing to get vaccinated, 'good luck intubating yourself👍'
I'm sad that I feel this way, but I do.
Have fun on your trip...keep that family treasure safe & isolated...hope she has a big piece of Birthday cake & Ice Cream!
My Mom's Birthday is next weekend - she's not had her vaccine yet, and I've kept her home for the most part, and she wears a mask when she does go out, but has chronic COPD, and I fear would not survive it. I'm hoping she will go in a couple to get hers. She wanted the J&J, but held off when all the clotting issues arose.

I had to watch while my favorite flea market died in Oklahoma. But here in Texas they have some great ones. Loved the tall tree you got! The peeps are so cute. I have a couple of nail bags, wonder where they got off to, you did great.

I hope this market is just seeing a rough patch, between the weather and possibly people coming out of "quarantine". I would hate to see this market reduced to new stuff and knock-off clothing stalls.

I have a Tupperware keychain as well and I keep a days medication in it because often I’m out and about when I realize I forgot to take my medication so it has saved me many times

When the key chains came out you still had the phone booths that took a dime. A dime would fit in there so you could always call home.

I love that tall ceramic tree! There were only a handful of yard sales on Saturday but surprisingly I found a whole box of Vintage die cuts, and original Goonies buttons from 1984. I was shocked 😲 Hope you also had a Happy 4th ❤🤍💙

A Goonies button?! Now that's a great find! (On a side note, the director of the Goonies actually just passed away.)

Back in the day, if you went to a Tupperware party, The Host would give you one of those keychains as a gift for attending.

I did enjoy this. Your fabric is pretty, your Christmas tree is beautiful (not as beautiful as you) the Tupperware keychain I removed. Wish I had kept mine. Love the coloring book. I have àn old one my grandma had. I think she used it for patterns on kitchen towels.🤷 The coloring books they make today are not near as good. We were always excited to get a new coloring book. I would color grandma's but I just don't want to ruin it.❤️💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🏞️🏞️🏞️🐦🐦🐤🐤 I love the peeps also. They are so sweet.

People have less spare money this year. Traffic will pick up by next summer. It was also a “family” holiday weekend.

Yes, the unemployment subsidy is gone in many States, & it's reflected in online markets too. I saw a sharp decline in activity about middle of May...
