Fishing in central texas has been great! Went out sunday anchored on an underwater island and caught 10 blues in 2 hours and missed many more. The water temp down here is already flirting with 70 degrees. Its the constant wind/pressure changes that is making it a little challenging. Thanks for the vid Mr. Grubbs and have a fantastic spring!
I’ve got some crazy hair going on myself lol. I was hoping to get a real haircut but as soon as I get home from work I’m cutting it myself lol I can’t take it anymore.
@@hagengrubbsfishing LOL Me and my always hippie hair are laughing. I had 6 inches cut off just before the lock down so that will carry me until November. Maybe I should call it, prepper hair? ;P
May 4th big fish has been slow only 3 fish in the low twenties range in 2 weeks. Eater size fish up to about 8 pounds have been active on shad. I,m always fishing for tha Monasta!!! Tight lines men.
Nice view. It's been hit n miss not many but I still try. Had some hit big chunks but no hook up think it was gar and wind has been tough. Keep up the video I really enjoy them
Good to see you catching some fish I live in Livermore ky where the rough river meets the green river we have a dock we maintain all winter it has really been a challenge this year the river has been up and back down 9 times even now soon as we thought the river was gonna get right more rain its only came up few feet this time but the current is unreal thanks for the inside curb slack water tip we gonna have to try that out. Thanks again and Fish on!!!
Another great video! Got out last Friday on the white river and didn’t have a bit on anything other than triple S cheese bait. Frozen skips, frozen heads, fresh carp. They didn’t want any of it 🤷🏼♂️. We caught 6 channels on the cheese.
To be from Ohio, you sure sound like you came straight outta my state of Georgia. Now there's an example of a youngern who fishes like I did when I was a kid. I'm sure he makes you proud.
Great video. Fishing here in little town has been up and down. Temperature is all over and rain so much that the creek and lakes have been tricky same spots not hitting like they have.
Been rough for me in north-east Kansas. Went out in late March and tore up some channels up to 13 pounds but haven't done well since. I think we've only caught 3 channel's since. They were all above 6 pounds but the volume has been crappy. I think this BS quarantine has a lot to do with it. There are way more people fishing the spots i fish then I have ever seen in 4 years of fishing them.
The channel catfish have been a blast in my area (south central/eastern montana) the other day I lost a possibly personal best, probably close to 12 or more lbs. I was bummed but I have caught a bunch around 5 lbs this year so far. Loving this youtube channel, I'm definitely subscribing
Fishing is slow here in Va as well, caught one over 30lb off a 28' ledge that dropped of into 45',most of the fish have been small channel and blues.. Claytor lake fed by the New River..
Never thought I'd see a comment about claytor lake and the new river lol, I live in hiwassee, a few minutes from lighthouse bridge, I haven't had any luck around here, I've went to kerr lake a few times in the past couple of months and have had a good steady bite
Chris Fridley,I live just south of Wytheville, I sometimes put in down your way when I want to fish from the Tressel to light house. I caught the #30 down in peak creek.. Haven't made it to Kerr yet this year. Have a trip planned to Tappahannock to catch a bunch of eaters..
Its up and down like the lake levels. Here in south it has been normal I'm having to really work to get a fish. When levels are high when it goes back to normal its easy to find them.
Good video, something weird going on the Mississippi maybe elsewhere. River been high flooded over a month. Water temp is 55 should be warmer. Think it's a combination of flood water finally dropping and the old nasty flooded backwater with the decay rotten vegetation being pulled back into the river. It actually stinks! 3 bites in 2 days, caught 2 of them. Wife new p.b. 43.7 blue and flat head. Fishing was better back in January and February. This should be Prime time but it's been a struggle. Comfort somewhat I'm not the only one.
Asian carp not even breaking the water, and that's really not normal for right now. That's a sure indicactionr action on river life is off. Not marking fish where they "suppose to be".
Thank you for another great video . Please tell me the model of the fish finder your using or please recommend one. I fish for cats off the back and crappie from the front deck. The graffics appear really clear on yours. Recommendations from others is appreciated. STAY SAFE!
My unit is a 9” garmin 93sv plus and I like it but the side and down imagining isn’t up to par imo. If I was going to buy a new unit I would probably go with a hummingbird. Thank you for watching 👍
Thanks for the video! I like to bank fish the Ohio up in Cincinnati. Thinking about getting a boat but confused what the minimum size and width would be. Good used boats seem hard to come by. Any suggestions or thoughts about either? I've been thinking 16-17' SeaArk with 40hp would run the river okay as long I check the weather? Or does it have to be a deep V? Looking forward to checking out more of your videos. - TG
Friend of mine has an 1860 tracker with a 60 and it does good on the river. If I was buying a boat for the Ohio I wouldn’t go much smaller. I fished it a lot in a 1542 but had some close calls
Hagen Grubbs Fishing awesome. I always look forward seeing your videos! I’m also searching for the right boat to get. I want to deck it out too! Keep catching them bro! Also your son is a champ 🤘🏽💪🏽
Thanks for the tips on what to look for when buying bait. Underrated channel

Same here. Water level and water temp been up and down and up and down. Flooded out right now. Usually hammering the fish this time of year

What river do fish most in your videos? Wondering if similar fishing would be going on same time of year here in central alabama
It's been rough this way too brother
I've been fishing on the Ohio at Anthony Meldahl dam and it's been rough. Heavy current and a lot of garbage in the water.

Yes they are. Most versatile rod holder on the market imo. Thank you for watching.

Unlimited rods in Kentucky, Tennessee and several other states. Thanks for watching

It’s an old 18.5’ monarch. Got it for the big rivers but I still have my small boat for the smaller bodies of water. Thank you for watching 👍
