I have spent many years studying the Troubles and I agree this is the best source of material. Even most of the books I’ve read this year have been suggested on this channel.
Hi ATL, Shortly before the channel was removed for the month or so, there was a Peter Taylor documentary, that had recently been uploaded. It covered the murder of the Reavey Brothers in Armagh, and showed the wake, in the family home at the time. Can I ask has this documentary been removed? And if so will it be uploaded again? TIA

Us in America are paying for our colonialism and invading foreign countries. Britain is suffering the same fate as it should for the things they've done to the Irish and Scottish people. You dont do horrible things like this and get away with it forever. It all comes around in the end.

A Northern Irish nationalist would be supporting the many millennia old independent state of Ulster, not the 102 year old Republic of Ireland. Your title is wrong, they were insurgents fighting for the Republic of Ireland’s occupation of Ulster.
The vast majority of PIRA volunteers were from Northern Ireland, not Ireland.
Ulster is an Irish Province, nothing more, nothing less. Ireland does not occupy Ulster as Ulster has always been a part of Ireland.
There is no chance of Ulster ever being an independent State. That is ridiculous.

Thanks for your comment, but unfortunately it’s historical and factual nonsense. What you are quoting is the Irish Republican gas lighted version of Irish history.
Ulster was an independent kingdom before being invaded by the British a couple of centuries after the Southern Kingdoms had capitulated. Followed shortly after by the Ulster Plantation’s, an ethnic cleansing campaign managed and implemented entirely by Dublin to eradicate the Northern Irish, though ordered by the British.
Ulster had continued its independence and the fight against the British invaders a couple of centuries after the Southern Irish Kingdoms had been conquered.
The reference to provinces in maps, was when the four Kingdoms were identified as provinces of Britain for a short period. There has never been a period in history when Dublin or any of the other Irish independent Kingdom had sovereignty, or any form of authority over Ulster, only the British and the Northern Irish themselves.
Please give your ancestors the respect they deserve and research the actual Irish history, it’s far more interesting than the Irish Republican gas-lighted version you are quoting.

Three of Ulsters counties rest in Ireland and no person or political entity in Northern Ireland have any authority in these three counties. As someone who lives in one of those three counties, I have no association with the Northern Ireland State. Neither Britain or Northern Ireland hold any authority in the region of Ulster where I live.
Northern Ireland is not Ulster and Ulster is not Northern Ireland, never was and never will be.
Your original comment claimed that Ireland was fighting to occupy Ulster. I simply pointed out that you were incorrect.
Dublin implemented the plantation of Ulster? And who controlled Dublin and Ireland at that time? Who was the Lord Deputy and where was he born? What about the AG for Ireland?
And I was not quoting any republican gas-lighted version of anything, I was simply stating facts as they are today.
Your “group”, NICA, like other Northern Ireland groups of a certain political persuasion, like to blame Ireland for many of the problems that you have encountered over the years. Difficult to establish whether this is out of ignorance, hatred or fear. But, like the ancestors of the planters that you accuse of perpetrating a campaign of ethnic cleaning to eradicate the Irish people living in the northern counties of Ireland at that time, you are stuck in the past and use this history to fuel your hatred.
