Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 22 and Deivids 23 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia. Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help. Soooo far everything is going great and there haven't been any incidents.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every "ugly" part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily and part of it are
5 Goats
3 Sheep
4 chickens
1 Rooster
and 3 Geese
Oh yeah and my cat Ivi
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn't be fair to keep this fun for us!

I wish I could find a company that would gift this sweet young couple a tractor to make their lives easier. They are such hard workers and they deserve it 💖
I hear ya. But, Deivid has got to get this tractor running. He’ll be miserable if he threw in the towel at this point. But, I agree. They deserve some good fortune.
I totally agree. A company that would donate a tractor, or tools, or building materials or anything to help them.
I have been calling it Puff the Magic Dragon. It sure live up to that in this episode. I am refraining from calling it Puff the Tragic Wagon for just a bit longer.

Am I the only one that hears Children story book ideas ....Frank the tractor helps feed the new Goat babies ( once they arrive )....Pew Pews on guard duty ...Barbara helps to make David a new Jersey...
You need to completely clean out the fuel system from the tank to the pump and all the lines and filters. The engine initialy runs good and the diesel pump sends more rusty crap up the line and plugs the injectors...again. If you are lucky it's just the fuel filter[s] plugged up
The fuel pump needs rebuilding, this one might take a lot more to get it going! 😁
@@DoBeDiff If you use summer diesel in tractor will not work because in cold weather, paraffin is formed in the diesel and will block all lines and filter, need use winter diesel. I have the same tractor, my big problems with the fuel line. You need to check the line at the fuel tank and before the filter may be full of rust and dirt. May be the reason, that tractor has no power and die.

Genius! You two are creating art with the photography, music and your positive approach. This is a huge life lesson example. The problem solving is amazing. Most young people might not have the stamina to keep trying.

I must admit that although I do not know anything about mechanics - and I'm not interested in learning it, this series of "fighting with the grinch" seems very entertaining ...
I love your attitude and patience. You remind me of an older generation who steadfastly fixed things instead of throwing them away and buying new.
You two could really use this old tractor as you develop the farm. Keep at it!

Dave you have all the right ideas . Be careful if engine got overheated at somepoint. Piston rods could be loose from crankshaft. When drain oil pop pan out of bottom see if all tight . Yep change all fluids and filters . Doing great . 👍
There is something exciting about the fact that so many people have information on tractors from all around world... did you download the manual? Most are available.
@@randalllaue4042 Randall, I live in a small village in America. My tractor shot the piston through the block 👍 . And yes when you work with old tractors you get a feel for them . And manuals help . Along with other Farmers fron area and the internet.
@@dougtheviking6503 the company I worked for years ago shipped copies of tractor manuals to people, before internet took hold. Now, it’s possible to hook those tractors up to GPS! And track the harvesting. They still have the rights to do this, amazing!!
Did you check the oil in the governor and check the fuel filter and before you start up give it maximum fuel and once it starts the governor will move the fuel rack automaticly back to the running position,but as I said make sure that there is oil in the governor.

Hi! There my husband is a heavy equipment mechanic and saw your video. He said he thinks that the fuel pump is injecting too much fuel and is getting mix the fuel and the oil. He recommend you watch this video it probably give you some ideas how to fix it. (How to troubleshoot fuel in oil contamination. Diesel fuel dilution)

David you continue to amaze me. With having to replace things, just tells me, that the problem is about to be resolved, you will have a beast of a tractor. Along with the equipment attachments, you'll be able to accomplish so much on the farm. Just imagine how much money for saved, over trying to buy a new or a rebuilt tractor. As you begin to use the tractor with the numerous attachments, that will be amazing to watch you work the farm improvements . That's what I believe that you will start working on attachments, getting them cleaned up and in working order. As they say, one day at a time, now it's one attachment at a time. Now as a viewer, we will probably see the field holding water, fixed, feeding the animals without breaking your backs, etc. I'm so happy to see the tractor up and running. You did it David! I always felt confident in your ability to think through and solve the problem. Amazing! You are an amazing young man.

Also I can't find the comment now but somebody had mentioned about starting it up in the cold and blowing a piston. You can also crack the block if it's not properly protected from the cold and you try to start it up in the dead of winter without warming up the block first. You know these are things you need to take into consideration living where you live.

Because its so cold and wet make sure you put addative to stop the diesel from gelling. Also put a new fuel filter on it.

I think a lot of your problems are because you are not a diesel mechanic. The good news is by working on this tractor your experience will follow you for the rest of your life.

When it's all new you have a great tractor .but is still cheaper then new one and clean it up little paint better then new because you no how to fix and new tractor parts are more expensive and and lot of electronics to go bad so you still got a deal I still have faith in you David.

It smokes white so it has to much air, and finally you canot easly start it. You should find a broken intake system gasket and change it, and it should help.
I was holding my breath, 1) for the tractor to start 2) cuz of the exhaust.
