Rest in Peace Bra Vic thank you so much for always aking time for me. I will miss the backstage chats - I am gonna miss you and your beautiful music - I am so blessed to have known you in my lifetime = love you Bra Vic and thank you for the music
Bra Vic, Your music will live on. You were an exceptional jazz legend. rest in peace mnt'omdala. I hope the living artists u worked with will put together a nice tribute perfomance at this year's Cape Town International Jazz Festival...
This is a masterful fusion of a choral piece by JP Mohapeloa with Jazz...beautiful. Thanks Zuluboys for this, keep 'em coming. Just how we South Africans do not value our own artists......disgusting! Victor Ntoni is a genuis and him and other artists of his generation are discarded to the dustbin of history. PS Where can I get a DVD of the whole show?
He had a company called Music Lab. I think it was closed down after his passing. Otherwise contact his wife, Linda Ntoni or His daughter Nandi Ntoni. He had tons and tons of the DVD at his house.
I know I'm so late in response. Victor wrote Seliyana and Thetha alone! I know this for a fact, he was my dear friend and I was physically there whhen these songs were composed. There was a time when he played in a band called Iconoclast, with Khaya Mahlangu etc. Why don't you ask them who composed these songs?
What goes around comes around re Ntoni being discarded. Can someone ask him why he's discarded Pinkie Mseleku's name from the songs they wrote together? Songs like "Seliyana" and "Thetha Wathula Nje"? These are some of the songs that Victor and Pinkie wrote for her album "Africa I Love You So" back in the 80s. They've been covered by Masekela and Sibongele Khumalo but only Ntoni is credited for them - yet on the original album they're clearly joint Mseleku-Ntoni compositions.
My greatest song and music forever. Wow,what a conductor holding voices of his choir on his fingers
It may have taken me this long to know you. Posthumously, you still light me inside!! U lale ngo xolo bhut'wethu...
