I found out completely by chance. I happened to get a chest infection on a plane, and when I was given antibiotics to cure it I had a really bad reaction. The doctor asked for a blood test, was suspicious of the results, and then asked for a colonoscopy. I was expecting the surgeon to find a couple of small polyps, and that he'd be able to remove them there and then. And then I'd be fine. Instead he found a massive tumour. He said it was absolutely the last thing he was expecting to find in a 36-year-old. When my cancer was found it was already stage 4 (terminal). Cancers tend to grow (and spread) slowly in old people and faster in younger people, but there are many, many exceptions.
That’s crazy, so you must of had it afew years before maybe, I’m not sure how fast cancer grows.all the best my friend , you did say the tumour is Shrinking didn’t you? What better news can you have than that?
I'm so glad that you are still alive and keep giving helpful information for other cancer patients. I hope you can try different treatments!
