It's hard enough to fight with Lupus daily. I'm glad you have found ways to stay healthy, support others, and finally find someone who knows your worth.

Hi Lyly, you go girl! I'm pretty sure that many people will deeply appreciate this video. Autoimmune diseases need to be discussed more.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia way back in 1999 and I've done a lot of my own research since then because there wasn't a lot of information back then. Also, the internet wasn't exactly super popular at the time, so most of my research was done the hard way - at the library. Things have definitely gotten easier since then. Anyway, I was also diagnosed with Scleroderma which, apparently, is considered a sister to Lupus. My sister suggested an experiment, and suggested trying it for 6 weeks and if there's no results, I didn't lose anything. A magazine article she'd read said to eliminate gluten, sugar, soy, dairy and seed oils. And to take good quality vitamins such as Magnesium, B Complex, D, C and Zinc. I'm not kidding you, my chronic pain, inflammation, migraines and IBS are at least 90% gone. The only thing I still struggle with is the chronic fatigue syndrome which is maybe half as bad as it used to be. I eat as naturally as possible, like I live on a farm. Meat and vegetables. All fresh.
It was interesting to learn that autoimmune diseases are extremely rare in other countries yet booming in the United States. Many articles discuss how the American diet has set us all up for failure. I no longer have faith in the U.S. government or American physicians because money seems to be more important. Us sick people keep them rich. I think it's exciting that I no longer rely on a plethora of prescription medications. I only take melatonin, currently, that's it. I encourage you to experiment with your diet and vitamins because it may be helpful for you, as well. I love having my quality of life back, I'm positive you will feel the same. Reach out if you have any questions or whatnot. Take care and God bless!

Awww thank you so much for sharing your story and all the knowledge you've gained through research and trial and error. I'm so happy that you've found what works for you and you're now thriving! Yes, it's crazy how much autoimmune diseases have risen in this country so it's even more important that we start to take control of our own bodies and health. I will definitely take your advice and try all of those things you've mentioned. Will definitely get back to you on how I'm feeling in a few months! Thank you again for your support and kindness.

@@thelylychang Yes, definitely let me know! Even though it is difficult to give up favorite foods (except for maybe special occasions 😊), gaining back the quality of life is sooo worth it! I hope it helps you tremendously and your channel changes to spreading the word to more people suffering with autoimmune diseases. That would be so cool!
