Just found out about this project, I hope it’s still on, don’t care about time, I have same printer collecting dust I tried to “klipperise” it a while ago but it got to complicated for me regarding calibration. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Good luck with the project, didn't take me long to find out that printer was a bag of Sxxt I also did the bondtech conversion updated the drivers, the hot ends where garbage hence they got E3D to make them, and I could fry an egg on the stepper motors, a part of my journey into 3d printing I wish to forget.
I had a similar thing happen to my first 3D printer a Creatbot, the case of the machine was very well built, pity the rest wasn't as well made. At the time when I got it mid 2016 it was a almost $4,000 machine and that was on the cheaper end for 3D Printers then.

I ran into the same issues with the SeeMeCNC Rostock V2. Without getting into the gory details, I changed out everything except for the frame. In order of disappearance: Power supply, extruder, extruder stepper, hotend, controller, hotend platform, rods to the hotend platform, belts, and even the build plate glass when a chunk of glass came out of it.
I finally gave up when I found that dimensionally the thing would print +.2mm off in the X axis, and -.2mm in the Y axis on a 10cm "L" calibration part. By that time the thing was worn out. I will say that it was great for printing doodads, but that was about it.
As for your CNC upgrade, did you look into LinuxCNC first? (and the stellar Mesa controller) I upgraded a 1980 Takamatsu to LinuxCNC and it works like a charm.

My bcn3d is lurking here looking for hope that it might get some attention.. It quietly waits collecting dust.
Nonsense a 2000 euro printer should have excellent warranty coverage and after sales services which should enable the customers have a flawless owning experience. With such an aftersales and warranty service, where the customer deals with problems the selves, that printer only worth 500 euros, not 2000.
What happened to this project?
Will you also get back to streaming?

It's very sad that you've basically had to take this multi thousand buck printer and shove a load of parts on it that most of us shove on our ender 3's just to make it print properly. What's really worrying is that BCN3D appear to be placing themselves as an industrial level manufacturer like Raise3d or the like. This video proves that couldn't be further from the truth!!! Very interesting to see what you do with it as the chassis and linear rails etc look good.

Nope, it was a risk I took and knew it could backfire, which it did, so now it's time to fix all that. truth is, most of my subs came here for 3d printing, and it's unfair of me to expect them to enjoy anything other than that.

Only recently rediscovered your content under the new channel name. Rebranding is risky business and needs thorough planning and lots of marketing and transition period. Change management is a profession in its own right
