Boom is currently on the top of my list with Passionfruit following right after... like those two tracks are IT for me. 5:28 Exactly thanks to this moment Boom has the edge over Passionfruit. THE ENDING OF BOOM IS SOTY by itself ! Passionfruit is soooo babygiirlll coded, like.... juicy tracksuit, pink bedazzled purse uggghhh so goood. 👠 They really did THAT with this album, I've been listening to Nmixx since debut, but never considered myself a "stan", Rollercoaster almost won me over last year... but this album has me on CHOKEHOLD ngl, like.... I love all tracks, obviously in different capacities, but I don't see myself skipping anything. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
For me their musical evolution really picked up pace during Expergo, but this is another level. This is like fully YES for me which is something I've been waiting for.
passionfruit being their best song for me LIKEE its so catchy but also refreshing and i know it's been done before but it's just something with this type of beats that make me feel fresh edit: giving very that boy's a liar maybe thats why i like it
Everything you said is the same for me and how I feel about NMIXX! The way the sound has evolved and been perfected. The acapella preview for the album was so full of top tier vocals and harmonies!!! Passionfruit is my fav!!!!! Second is Run for Roses which shocks me bc country is usually not my thing. Third is Soñar!
After the a cappella medley, “Passionfruit” was my most anticipated, and it really delivered, both in its sweet vocalization and kinetic pace. “Break the Wall,” though, really struck me hard in my nostalgia, as an ‘80s/‘90s kid. It took me right back to when “Tarzan Boy” (a mid-‘80s song) randomly had an early ‘90s resurgence, and we got these sorts of buzzy, chanty songs, plus Enya was also hot at the time, with her pizzicato strings. Between this and “Run for Roses,” NMIXX is having a Celtic moment. This time capsule of a song and general “good vibes” spirit makes me wonder if there’s a nod to the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and the new, hopeful era that signaled, entering the ‘90s. I didn’t immediately take to “Boom” in its opening measures, as I generally don’t vibe with grimy, minimalist hip-hop, but I was absolutely entranced as the song continued to evolve. This is “NMIXX” in a song; so many contrasting facets all blended and finding harmony together. Generally, as a fan of ‘90s pop-R&B girl groups, I’m very happy with this album.
So, I've listened to this album like 5 or 6 times since yesterday lol. I've had this album and Itzy's on repeat. This album was nearly flawless for me, so it's hard to pick favorites. If I had to pick a top 3 for this very moment, it would be: 1. Passionfruit 2. XOXO 3. Dash
this is my favourite album from them, ive been a fan of most of their releases up to this point but ive probably not been this addicted to an album from them
My two favorites of the album are : passion fruit and Boom I loved most of the track but 2 of them weren't my type (sonar and xoxo) So my ranking is : 1- passion fruit 2- boom 3- break the wall 4- run for roses 5- dash 6- soñar 7- xoxo
I only really liked two songs from Expergo (Home & Just Did It), but this album overall is way more my style. I’ll just rank the songs in this vid 1. Passsionfruit (summer bop + that spit it out part hits) 2. Boom (end switch up HELLO) 3. XOXO (nice chill vibe) 4. Break the Wall (not for me..def gave Disney and friendship no hate though lol) I enjoyed what people called the “jarring” mix ups but I’m ok with the recent refined (?) approach. The quality has increased and I think more people will come to appreciate them. NMIXX have never had bad vocals but I really enjoy the harmonizations in this era.
Overall: Significant improvement in terms of the quality of the tracks and the compositions. While there are some high highs in this project, there are also some low lows. This is a 5.5/10 imo, and Run For Roses is so close into my playlist. The mixing and layering of the vocals are a lot more cleaner and refined in comparison to those older releases where they have poor and clunky mixing with very damp watered down vocals. Significant improvement, but it's still a mid tier project to me.
All I can say that this is the best project NMIXX had put on. Like, the producers and everyone who worked in this mini just gave their all.
Facts.
No lies have been told. 🙏🙏🙏
no printer
"make a mini Album"
Producers heard "change lives"
ur so real for this
that "SPIT IT OUT SPIT IT OUT SPIT IT OUT" in Passionfruit is stuck in my head 😵
Same, it's so good! It adds something but idk what 😂
gives off ice spice vibes for me, idkw lol
oh they need to stay with these producers this feels really elevated
Whoever decided that switch-up in BOOM to be that short should be JAILED.
JAILED FOR BEING THE BEST FUCKING PRODUCER EVER
FRRR
BOOMS ending switch up genuinely shocked me like why am i shaking asssssss
BOOM’s last part reminds me soooo much of SOPHIE!!!!!

The way they're scaling my favorite group list is craaaazy.
