Yesssssssss!!! Nostalgia critic crossover after so many years and it's finally here!!! I legit didn't know this was going to be a crossover. Nice suprise
NC and Linkara collabs are always fun. Plus I'm one of those people who want them to do another uwe bowl movie. (Then again , who doesn't want them to do another uwe boll movie review.)
1: You make a very good point: I can't remember the last time the Critic reviewed something nostalgic. 2: Another point you could have made in favor of Batman's credit card? At that point in the series, he's pretty much a public figure (what with him showing up at a charity auction and all), I doubt he'd have much trouble applying for one. 3: WHEN DID THE CRITIC SHAVE HIS HEAD?!
Furthermore, despite the Critic's scathing remark about Linkara not always reviewing comic books, Atop the Fourth Wall doesn't have them in its name, so it's not forced to stick with them even if that's Linkara's preference. Heck, it's not even forced to stick with *bad* comics, despite being the show where bad comics burn. Critic is just being a hypocrite, as usual.
1. Depends on your definition of nostalgic, or who he's peddling nostalgia to. After all, much of the audience that tuned in back in the days to watch him review films from their childhoods from the 90s (and occasionally late 80s) are now pushing forty, if not already into their forties, (which sadly includes myself...😭) and I would think, though I'm not sure, that younger people are joining, if not slowly taking over his audience and his last few reviews, such as Eragon and the Sorcerer's Apprentice are at least about ten years old. Old enough to be nostalgic for these younger, newer audience members. Plus, as Linkara mentioned above, he recently reviewed G.I.Joe the Movie from 1987 and before that, Monkeybone (2000) and before that Ang Lee's Hulk from '03 and in July, Cats Don't Dance which was a 90s film. 3. Back in June or July around the time of his 10th anniversary celebration. He and Cinema Snob look almost like twins now.
Omar Harris The Sorcerer's Apprentice is only from 2010, but keep in mind: The justification for reviewing 2005's Alone in the Dark in 2009 applies to many of Doug's NC review choices nowadays (plus everything up to 2007 falls into the last cutoff ever in effect, since there was a 10 year minimum)
So, if there are cameras all over Linkara's personal hangouts, does that mean that there were ACTUAL hidden cameras in the Court of Worms? This just gives credence to my "King of Worms was secretly a Linkara fanboy" theory.
But he didnt. He came up with a in-universe explanation for how the Bat credit card could work. But stupid is still stupid. Also Batman is using a credit card to buy a date.
@@griffinshaffer83 in universe explanation IS killing the joke, as our beloved Joker had lovingly pointed out to Harley in the famous episode 'Mad Love'
It's like watching Bugs Bunny and Duffy Duck being in the same room, the Linkara character and the Nostaligia Critic character just work so well, it's like a friendship full of hate.
Despite how everything has gone down with the channel awesome stuff, I genuinely miss the times when the Critic and Linkara would do a crossover review. Hell, it's because of their review of Superman IV that I discovered Linkara back on blip (RIP) and became a fan. They always had great on screen chemistry and worked so well off of each other.
6:37 fun fact: that scene in the movie where Batman says "I'm Batman," was a mistake. The original line was "I am the dark Knight," but the actor forgot his line. So he just improvised and said "I'm Batman."
It's great to see Doug and Lewis together like this and is a nice swan song to the various crossovers they've had throughout the years. Fitting that the Nostalgia Critic would be so petty as to interrupt Linkara after the hand full of times he's done it to him. Plus, their dynamic is great. With Lewis being the straight man while Doug being... well, Doug. Interestingly enough, the first ever video I saw of Lewis WAS the Alone in the Dark Review so yeah, you could say that this was very NOSTALGIC for me.
To linkara’s credit about that “where does he get those wonderful toys” toy commercial line, I think linkara was referencing the MOVIE’S tv commercials, as pretty much every single commercial for this film when it aired on tv used that line. At the same time, toy commercials (from Toy Biz) for toys based on the film we’re airing, and Linkara may have just amalgamated the two in his mind.
Uh, guys, you do know that NC criticized Linkara too, eh? And, like Linky was right on NC, NC has a point that Linkara is reviewing less and less comics by the years since 2014.
Linkara, you should have the Nostalgia Critic in a part of the story where he still doesn't believe the stuff happening to you until he sees the entity with his own eyes and has the same/similar reaction that Dr. Silberman from Terminator 2 had when he saw the T-100 before he (Nostalgia Critic) runs off screaming.
3:50- hahahahahaha 6:40- Hahahahahaha 13:20- YES!!! Critic commentary on Pollo's editing. Linkara was daddened by the Joker's comic potrayal. Did NC write the credits? Do I win a feee XBox?
The thing about being "nostalgic" isn't JUST about loving things from years and years ago. One could still be nostalgic about recent material that might've come out a month ago or a WEEK ago. Heck, the recent Season Finale of Game of Thrones has me feeling nostalgic
Was listening to this review in the background and 6:40 caught me off guard, followed by the Critic's very understandable reaction. And the "This is all real" bit later still gets a chuckle out of me. Even with hindsight being 20/20, honestly this review's still pretty good.
Only now did I realize just how much Bruce Wayne in this film (or at least the Bruce Wayne depicted in this comic) looks like Jeff Goldblum. My god, can you imagine Jeff Goldblum as Batman?
Aw, man. After the middle bit about the Nostalgia Critic's confusion over sketch vs actual occurrence - I was looking forward to him being dragged into shenanigans and freaking out. Much disappoint.

Have to say, the Nostalgia Critic was best when he was doing collaborations and had someone to bounce off of because otherwise every joke was just Doug yelling, since that seems to be what Doug thinks is the funniest thing in the world.
the intro bit is surreal after binging for months (hell maybe a year at this point) since episode one, this was i think the first time the camera just straight up moved from the couch shot as opposed to a cut, cursed footage
That opening brought such a smile to my face. It's so weird seeing someone else sitting on your couch. My eye was trying to convince me that NC was green-screened in, it felt so weird. XD That gargoyle has seen some things, man. About time the bee jokes made a return, and we got two of them! It's always good to make new material, but certain callbacks will always be classics. Also, the fact that it's a Nostalgia Critic cameo that brought back an old running gag is not lost on me. I...think you mean 'spattering' his blood all over the newspaper. : 3 Daddened? I was half expecting a "huuuuuuumaaaaaaaan" at the end to make NC run off. : p That whole dialogue was priceless.
These two characters bounce off each other so well it's really the best episode all year. Just fun getting to see the Critic being told that his reality has these monsters in it that he never new about. I'm hoping to see that develop.
It's great to see my two favorite Channel Awesome producers doing another crossover. I really like this video. Reviewing a comic book adaptation of one of the Nostalgia Critic's favorite movies does seem fitting, and there's a definite chemistry between Doug and Lewis. Usually, the Nostalgia Critic's large personality seems to dominate his crossovers, but here, he balances his opinions and commentary off of Linkara fairly evenly, and we even got a few friendly (but still amusing) pokes at modern Nostalgia Critic videos. I'd love to see more crossovers between these two in the future.
"Two words: ad revenue." You know for all the behind the scenes drama these two have great chemistry and I can never ever get over either of their content. They know what I like :)
This was a nice crossover. In all honesty, I didn't expect the balloon from the Nostalgia Critic's IT review to make a cameo appearance in this video as it really caught me off guard.
Putting the Champion stuff into the videos is flawlessly logical. It warns viewers of potential threats and provides a record in case one of them defeats/captures/kills Linkara. Heck, that's already happened when Vyce kidnapped him.
I must say, I enjoy crossovers, but this video was... a real reminder of why I used to LOVE em! You two bounced off each other well, and even poked fun at each throughout! Yes, Yes, YES!!!
Can we take a moment to fully recognise the quite intelligent jab, "Remember when you used to be nostalgic?" - as someone who's been with Doug since "A Troll in Central Park", I love how it's gone. But damn, Lewis, if that ain't true.
Ahh I love when you guys do crossovers ^^ Pointing out one another's tropes was a fun touch! Sudden Bat-Cowl in time for I AM THE NIGHT! was probably my favorite funny moment ^_^
They never showed the money was counterfeit in the parade scene. Also glad the comic explained how one silly gun could shoot down the Batwing, being an explosive shell.
Superman 4, when I found out Linkara existed, and made me grin ear to ear of his storylines. Alone in the Dark, AKA, my introduction of Spoony! Also the constant fear of Vashta Nerada- FLEE, LINKARA, FLEE FROM THE DARK! Star Trek: Insurrection. The worst movie of the entire TNG, if not ALL of the Movies. So bad, that movie is considered to be a dream state like in Last Christmas, where all of the cast members share a terrible nightmare. And good Old Bloodrayne. The Movie which brought back the good Old three stooges of the Channel Awesome group, in hilarious fashion. Good Job with this one, Linkara. Seeing this, brings back memories of Superman 4. Really Hilarious. XD

10:55 fun fact, in one of the "batman, gotham knight" short films, Batman actually uses a device that can reflect bullets, but decideds to put it away after allmost killing someone with it. Linkara: "This stuff is ACTUALLY happening to me!" Phelous: "Yeah, sure it does." ;P
Linkara explaining everything the critic is hilarious especially the end where he points out the posters for kickassia, Suburban Knights and Too Boldly Flee as the icing on this cake. Also yea another Bal movie
this is such a perfectly starcrossedly written crossover , it acknowledges and addresses several things about ATFW and Doug's recent Nostalgia Critic reviews, the good old days of the super crossover short films and alot of jokes derived from recent criticism from fans from both sides can't wait for Batman Returns and Forever

This isn't the first crossover of them though.
Ragnarox i know. I said afters so many years in reference to the fact they haven't done a crossover in a while.
The bit when they were talking about skits and storyline segments was hilarious!
“I live in constant fear that my next review will be my last” is not what I would describe as hilarious, but it’s a great bit
NC and Linkara collabs are always fun. Plus I'm one of those people who want them to do another uwe bowl movie. (Then again , who doesn't want them to do another uwe boll movie review.)
shadowlinkbds Uwe Boll.
I agree. They play amazingly off of each other
Well, even after the implosion of Channel Awesome, the uwe boll movie reviews won't really happen due to Spoony moving on as a content producer.
The Emerald Weirdo in q recent review a few weeks back I think it might of been monkeyebone or a few movies before review.when he went bald.
He actually reviewed the animated GI Joe movie a few weeks ago.
"Two words..... Ad Revenue" LOL XD
RVDDP2501 I don't get it.
2:20
Bradley Clark one word... money
RVDDP2501 Your pic makes it much funnier.
what is ad revenue
23:40
Linkara: 😳 “Is that stock footage gonna kill us?”
Nostalgia Critic: 😳 “I don’t know.”
The IT Balloon returns
Stock footage IT Balloon no less! :D
I love how they didn't even bother to get rid of the Thatguywiththeglasses.com watermark on the bottom. XD
And it seems appropriate since the new movie just came out.
BuschWhacker Reviews DO THEY FLOAT?
Frankie Calimano they all float
"I killed the bat- credit card joke!"
Bless you for doing so, dear. It was far beyond it's time
GrimSister when was this?
the batman and robin comic review, I belive.
@@Fanatic_Foremem and.now channel awesome is dead
Jean Luc Picard-White: Number One, it's time to cook!
Riker: WTF?
Missed opportunity. Everyone knows Darkwing owns the night.
I thought he owned the little sharp rocks in your boots you can feel with you feet by never shake out or find with your fingers!!
Carewolf That too.
But I purchased rights to The Night last week for fifteen bucks.
It's a shame about what happened, they have great on-screen chemistry.
Doug lived to see himself become the villain.
13:00-- "Those aren't skits!!! That actually happens to me!!!" (I love that part) lol
That rant that goes from 12:45 to 14:00 between NC and Linkara is awesome
Nostalgia Critic and Linkara crossover yay!
It's good they acknowledge the direction both shows are taking.
I'm still waiting on that Nostalgia critic & Linkara Swamp Thing Review
"Remember when you used to Nostalgic"
Holy shit yes
Alcedence Nostalgia critic might as well just change his name to whatever the opposite of nostalgia is.
Alcendence favourite moment in the review I loved when they called one another out in the review change it showed self awareness.
Further Proof that at this point linkara has surpassed the nostalgia critic.
Uh, guys, you do know that NC criticized Linkara too, eh?
And, like Linky was right on NC, NC has a point that Linkara is reviewing less and less comics by the years since 2014.
That joke is even more accurate now with how many modern movies he reviews
Linkara, you should have the Nostalgia Critic in a part of the story where he still doesn't believe the stuff happening to you until he sees the entity with his own eyes and has the same/similar reaction that Dr. Silberman from Terminator 2 had when he saw the T-100 before he (Nostalgia Critic) runs off screaming.
Big fan of you two guys, keep up the awesome work!
the sad thing is Lewis and Doug had great chemistry.
3:50- hahahahahaha
6:40- Hahahahahaha
13:20- YES!!!
Yeah I understand that but the entire concept of nostalgia critic is about remembering the past like his catchphrase so…..🤷♀️
Was listening to this review in the background and 6:40 caught me off guard, followed by the Critic's very understandable reaction.
"I am... uh... the night"
This episode is so meta it would make Phelous jealous... Hah, it rhymed
Jhealous
Aw, man. After the middle bit about the Nostalgia Critic's confusion over sketch vs actual occurrence - I was looking forward to him being dragged into shenanigans and freaking out. Much disappoint.
You guys do a good job reviewing that reviewing this comic I just have to say and I've revived interviewed The Nostalgia Critic and he is a very good guy I really appreciate him coming on my show and also didn't car I just want to say I would like to interview you sometime okay you are a very good guy a very good RUclipsr and I would love to interview you sometime you're a cool guy dude I hope to hear from you soon keep making the awesome videos you could ask Doug who I am
11:18 - I love the Critic's reaction. It gets a laugh out of me every time I re-watch it. :)
You know, upon closer inspection, the thumbnail makes me laugh more since it has the Critic with HAIR.
Have to say, the Nostalgia Critic was best when he was doing collaborations and had someone to bounce off of because otherwise every joke was just Doug yelling, since that seems to be what Doug thinks is the funniest thing in the world.
the intro bit is surreal after binging for months (hell maybe a year at this point) since episode one, this was i think the first time the camera just straight up moved from the couch shot as opposed to a cut, cursed footage
just started and the NC already has me hooked on this video
#AtopTheFourthWallCrossOverCrisis
#NostalgiaCriticStrikesBack
I like how NC is wearing the bat mask from the "Batman: Fortunate Son" review. He looks hilarious!
That opening brought such a smile to my face. It's so weird seeing someone else sitting on your couch. My eye was trying to convince me that NC was green-screened in, it felt so weird. XD
That gargoyle has seen some things, man.
Daddened?
I was half expecting a "huuuuuuumaaaaaaaan" at the end to make NC run off. : p
That whole dialogue was priceless.
Ad revenue? I feel so used.
I'll only watch this episode two times.
Today
"Two words: ad revenue."
You know for all the behind the scenes drama these two have great chemistry and I can never ever get over either of their content. They know what I like :)
Me to 😁
the dollar bill line isnt random in the movie, when joker goes out in the streets and starts giving money its actally fake bills with his face on it.
Huh, maybe I need to rewatch that particular sequence, since I don't recall them being fake...
Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall its also a freeze frame bonus in the parade scene
+Alien Bacon - Yeah I remember that as well, so glad I am not the only one who was like: wait, wasn't the money fake in the movie as well? LOL
1:16 Bruh that camera shift was like a fourth wall break, you could say it was from atop it even.
"THOSE AREN'T SKITS! THIS IS MY LIFE!"
Im dead xD
This was a nice crossover. In all honesty, I didn't expect the balloon from the Nostalgia Critic's IT review to make a cameo appearance in this video as it really caught me off guard.
That Superman credit card commercial isn't comic accurate as Superman actually has special pockets in his cape for carrying things!
Putting the Champion stuff into the videos is flawlessly logical. It warns viewers of potential threats and provides a record in case one of them defeats/captures/kills Linkara. Heck, that's already happened when Vyce kidnapped him.
that scene where they pointed out their stroylines...GENIUS LOL XD
I must say, I enjoy crossovers, but this video was... a real reminder of why I used to LOVE em! You two bounced off each other well, and even poked fun at each throughout!
Yes, Yes, YES!!!
Nice use of the IT balloon, lol
Can we take a moment to fully recognise the quite intelligent jab, "Remember when you used to be nostalgic?" - as someone who's been with Doug since "A Troll in Central Park", I love how it's gone. But damn, Lewis, if that ain't true.
Anyone else think that "Credits Now" should be Linkara's new catchphrase?
Ahh I love when you guys do crossovers ^^ Pointing out one another's tropes was a fun touch! Sudden Bat-Cowl in time for I AM THE NIGHT! was probably my favorite funny moment ^_^
Oh this was a good one, man I've missed the crossovers. The likelihood of Spoony showing up for one is slim to none but it would be neat I think.
What is the four batman movies in the DanganRonpa universe with the pink blood?
In the words of JonTron, “This one didn’t age too well”
Eh, still proud of doing it, still thought it turned out good.
Helps that I wrote most of the script.
That balloon is still out for blood, rubber filled blood.
They never showed the money was counterfeit in the parade scene. Also glad the comic explained how one silly gun could shoot down the Batwing, being an explosive shell.
I do like how DC managed to get the traditional comic book coloring of Batman (blue & grey) in there briefly - when Vicki's brought to the Batcave..
XD
2:30 LOL he's got you there. I actually only came here because I saw his name in the title. I honestly didn't even know you had your own channel. Good...I needed a new Channel to watch.
Linkara ur too late to save Nostalgia Critic Bat credit car illness. Someone test him just to make sure if he still has it
I'm so glad I got to see and meet NC at Metacon this year, and I even got a glimpse of Linkara too! You guys work so well together, I love it!!!
It’s weird seeing the nistolgia critic and linkara do a crossover especially now
2:14 Why has no one made a “Shut Up” compilation of Nostalgia Critic, it’s almost his catchphrase.
Why would I agree to a crossover
2 words "Add revenue"
Money buys anyone. Even linkara had a price 😂😂😂
This was peak internet reviewing. We'll never see a crossover as good as this ever again.
10:55 fun fact, in one of the "batman, gotham knight" short films, Batman actually uses a device that can reflect bullets, but decideds to put it away after allmost killing someone with it.
Linkara: "This stuff is ACTUALLY happening to me!"
Phelous: "Yeah, sure it does." ;P
Linkara explaining everything the critic is hilarious especially the end where he points out the posters for kickassia, Suburban Knights and Too Boldly Flee as the icing on this cake. Also yea another Bal movie
Yes review another Uwe Boll movie. Ps I think I threw up a bit in my mouth just saying his name.
this is such a perfectly starcrossedly written crossover , it acknowledges and addresses several things about ATFW and Doug's recent Nostalgia Critic reviews,
the good old days of the super crossover short films and alot of jokes derived from recent criticism from fans from both sides
can't wait for Batman Returns and Forever
We need another bloodrayne director (not saying his name. Its like voldemort) crossover with linkara.
“I live in fear that my next review will be my last.” love it
