Very Good Work……. I was going to do something like this similar, but “nutted out” to use Aluminium 100x50mmx6mm RHS to make a fixed Jackplate for my 25” Evinrude 115hp and Quintrex 560…… worked fantastic.
Hi Phill, thanks. Aluminium got it from one of the suppliers in Glasgow. Had to buy full length of 6m/ price was £150. Used only 3m the other half sold. So total cost of making this plate was approximately £100 including all stainless bolts nut washers and few flap discs. With proper tools that will take few hours
@@DawidNiespodzianski Very nice. i am after doing the same thing. i made a static jackplate from steel as no way i am paying the crazy prices of imported one.. yours looks very nice.. what hp is the motor fitted to this.. cheap in the usa but by the time they get here way way over the top for price.
Aluminium type is commonly used to make crains, and structal frames very strong, tuff. Those imported have the same thickness so I think this plate will take 200hp no problem

Weight, not so heavy to be honest haven't weight it... On the video I'm lifting two pieces in one hand.... 5 to 10 kg 😁
