The relationship between the Lead Dealer and Anita, though subtle adds an emotional layer to the narrative, showcasing his softer side and making him more relatable
'the railgun can shoot a 2 pound steel slug at 20km AN HOUR' that should have been 'per second' or the railgun would be worse than a human just throwing the slug.
The voice of this Narrator is incredible! I would hate to over-work someone. But, I would like to request more episodes narrated by this person! Well done. You have an exceptional voice, and utilize it well!
are you inferring that Frairen is going to meet the Lead Dealer? Um more likely, show up to tally up the bodies? I mean either way, its lead bullets or rocket assist war hammers . . . .
I'm thinking the lead dealers got to have some augments at this point. 17 shots from single action weapons including time to draw, fire, holster, and pull out the shotgun at under 3 seconds? No way. It would still need the considerable practice he mentioned but that would only get you so far.
@@christophercombs7561 They make it faster with one hand yes but not THAT kind of fast. The thing that slows double action revolvers down when fired with 1 hand is the llloooonnnngggggg and HEAVY trigger pull. And it depends on revolver. Most modern revolvers are double action but you still find them in single action (mostly in the cattlemen models from what I saw when I could still get them in Canada).
Oi Jack! Thanks for another excellent story! Was that 7 words for the Algorithm? Darth Vader with quantum-entangled 20th century weapons but maybe more Bob Munden.
When you pull stupid stunts this is the consequence karma in the form of people like this comes knocking shouldn't of took the kid should have just called it a day hell nothing would have happened had you simply just behaved.
I wish the author did their research. Railgun? It quote, "could launch a two pound steel slug at twenty kilometers an hour". 20 kph? Impressive! That's about 12.4 mph, which is far less than the speed limit in a school zone. In contrast, the US Navy railgun shoots projectiles at 7 times the speed of sound, or over 8600 kph. Also, why a steel slug? The Navy's hypersonic railgun projectile is made from dense, high-strength metals like tungsten or a copper-tungsten alloy to withstand the extreme forces of acceleration. Otherwise, it would fall apart during flight. (Also, it has better armor penetration.) Antimatter launchers? The energy required to synthesize even a tiny amount of antimatter is insane. Just 1 gram of antimatter has twice the power of the bomb dropped on Nagasaki; enough energy to power about 4,000 houses for a year. So, it'd take at least that much energy (probably more) to synthesize just 1 gram of it. The real reason the author chose to make antimatter the weapon used by enemies is because it sounds very impressive, amping up the tension by making it seem like MC is facing *impossible* odds. Antimatter is a fancy buzzword in sci-fi, much like how the word "nanite" is casually thrown around like overused tropes such as Handwavium, Contrivium, Convenium, or Deus ex Machina.
Damn ... outstanding.. reminds me of Louis lamour books. Keep em coming. I listen to these stories on my drive home. Keeps me alert after 12 plus hours of work.
This is such a good story arc. But, there are times when I believe the Lead Dealer would have been better off of he had just dropped Anita off at one of the colonies. Having someone to cherish is a luxury a man in his business can't afford. Why do you think Matt Dillon never married Miss Kitty? Lovers are a liability.
just got to that part in the story. and thought the same otherwise the ship would be throwing projectiles slower than terminal velocity. slower than someone throwing a discus
a bit off dubious writing at 23:50 20 kilometers an hour is double of the average human running speed, i believe you mean to say 200 kmh, today's rail gun tech can reach around 177 kmh in ballistic speeds or do you maybe mean to say 20 KM per second?
@@LRock-um8xo obviously leaded, and very high octane at that. Nothing diluted about this guy. If you're old enough, you know about Sunoco 260. That stuff would power a starship. And they sold it as car gas.

Nice a new Leaddealer Entry, im so hypet to listen to that one, always a treat
Funny thing is, the Syndicate just declared war on a whole species of Lead Dealers. If only one can do damage, imagine what a massive military can do.

Most revolvers are double action have they stated otherwise in other stories
Iirc he has augments too

Fantastic! More of the lead dealer series! Thanks 👍

Excellent narration
Lead dealers railgun moves at my speed and I’m 70 years old.
LMFAO! I'm 67 and short one meniscus in my right knee and can hobble almost that fast.😆
At least with a bicycle. I think the intention was to mean 20 km/s.

no its not. Its pronounced /ˈsabəʊ/ Its French.
Oh, hey. They've got the background ambience thing going again. Nice.
LOVE THE LEAD DEALER STORIES!!!!
He has a particular set of skills.
Or
You killed his dog and stole his car????
I think he is more like Darth Vader with quantum-entangled 20th century weapons.
The first one. The second is more a cameo character in the Frairen and Rimiki series.
Kidnappers : Why do we hear boss music ?
I was thinking Jason Bourne music set to Luke Skywalker boarding the vessel in the Mandalorian.

it's worse then i thought: they took anita!
I assume the writer meant 20 km/s not 20 km/h…
To quote soldier from TF2 "What the fuck is a kilometer!?" In all seriousness though, I know what it is
A kilometer is something that kilomets.
