    I have a magnolia that had the problem you showed with your camellia that had very yellow leaves, I mixed liquid Sulphur into water, about 18 liters, poured it all around the drip line; solved the problem very quickly and has been good now for about 3 months.

    Is the last camellia japonica black lace? (the one you mentioned was grown in a pot to a height of 2m... so obviously well loved)

      No, Black Lace has smaller neater darker red flowers than this one which is C. 'Les Jury'

    I love the way you have the Camellias up against your house but wouldn't that be an issue for termites?

      No, termites aren't a problem for us here in the UK. However, there are other benefits to growing evergreens against the house, as they have an insulating effect increasing temperature in winter and keeping the house cool in summer.
