Assuming that the father is the one that bought the drugs, his is most likely tobacco or the like while the mother's might be like a medicine used to keep colds away and do you know how they have those chemicals that makes it so you sleep easier since sleep=good for health and recovering from colds? Weellll, you can get addicted to them to the point of not being able to sleep without them and most likely have a low immunity if they don't take them after using them so much. They've most likely gotten into an argument about the drugs and the mother is most likely asking why Haru is getting drugs as well and protested against this, resulting in her getting strangled. Haru's probably high, let's all be honest. I'll need to do some research on what kind of chemicals and drugs result in hallucination and misperception of the world and whatnot, resulting in death if too much is taken but it's most likely from some kind of plant
