She thinks the blankets prey trying to escape her. The pulls out are spaced out which drives kitties nuts with anticipation. When I drag string for my girl I'll often leave it sitting near here for a minute with her staring at it just waiting to try to "run" away. The end is her finally delivering the killing blows and "eating" her kill. If there's one thing that dominates a cats life it's their hunting instinct. Even looking at them too long sends them into it and stalking you.
The kitten sees your behavior as a game of "remove the blanket."' PTake the kitten off the bed, remove the blanket, place kitten back on the bed sans blanket. There. No drama! ✨🐱✨
I think she was just wanting to play! :)) However, all you gotta do is pick her up and hold her, then take the blanket. OR you can just take the blanket without being intimidated by her or worry about offending her . ;)) I understand, though! They have a way of wrapping our hearts around their little paws, don't they? :))
