My man! Bustin out with that SX! I dig that maple fingerboard. Nice playing, and that pre sounds good in that bass. The only thing I don't like about my SX is the pickups. They aren't the worst pickups I've ever heard, but not nearly as nice as my Fender. Was thinking about new pickups eventually, but I may do a preamp instead.

Thanks Martin Edwards. Yes,...it shocked me too, once it got modified and the tone came out like that. I was blown away. A "G&B" 2 band eq. It killed me when I opened it up to just see what preamp "MIKE VROCK" put in there of the preamps I gave him. Took us by a huge surprise. Not bad. Ha!,...song: "STILL GOES BY THE WAY YOU PLAY?" Lol! I guess so. Lol! Thanks again boss. : D
I have recently inquired to a Chinese store about a bass build. They asked about what I wanted in woods and hardware then said I needed to pay before they start the build. I don't want to get ripped off so I'm asking is that your experience when you were dealing with Robin Song? This isn't his store but I'm trying to get an idea on how to proceed with this store I'm dealing with or wait for Robin's store to open up.
