You got me at "I wouldn't tell nobody about my tax returns, but these are the signs" 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 gotta love those refunds!!! 😂
The way you’ve got all of Magnolia Parks/Daisy Hates series with the original cover in one setting is sooo satisfying
Yeah that was the highlight for me. 😩😂😂🙌🏾🙌🏾
I love your little guy playing dinosaurs in the background! 🤣😍
He thinks he’s a dinosaur 😂
@@ReadingOverReality well, I’m convinced! 🦕 🦖
Young lady before you even pulled that book out of the Amazon rapper already knew it was the coldest winter ever the color scheme it self said it. I read that book twice when I was younger. Yeah, I’m telling my age.💛💙💛💙
Haha I don’t blame you it’s sooooooo good. My mom just random gave it to me to read when I was younger & I’ve honestly never stopped thinking about it. Randomly I’ll just be like Dangggggg Winter 🥹🥹🥹 I can’t wait to reread it. Did you read the sequel? If so what did you think about it?
@@ReadingOverReality I did tap into the sequel mainly because it was sista soujah love her down but nahhh she could have kept that one.. 👎🏾
@@traceyalbritton6585 haha yeah she really did us dirty with that one. Winter deserved better!
I’m doing the same; always been a dream of mine to have a personal library with floor to ceiling book shelves on every wall. I get most of mine from Goodwill and Gottwalls
Books all the way to the ceiling, would be so satisfying 😩 It’s gonna be a long journey but I can’t wait to get there. I’m gonna check out some thrift stores soon. I wanna read a good amount of these ones before I bring anymore in.
First time on this channel and I’m already hooked!!
That makes me so happy 🫶 thank you ♥️♥️♥️
Hardcovers are definitely uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time.
Yesss they tear that lil area of skin between my thumb and pointer finger uppppp! 😩😩😩
i adored shadow and bone but a lot of people hate it. please read it before six of crows so i (maybe) have someone that can love it along with me
Awww I haven’t heard much about either. But now you make me want to read them soon! I think I’ll like them! 🫶
The girl math is mathing 🙌🙌 I'm waiting on my "free" books to come in 😂😂
😂😂😂😂 can’t wait for you to get your free books 📚 🫶
Hiiiiiiiiii😁❤️ I'm so happy that RUclips algorithm brought me to your channel. I subscribed to your channel so quickly because I love seeing other beautiful black girls who love to read like me.
Awww thank you so much 🥰 I really appreciate it. I too love seeing other beautiful black girls I relate to read. & I don’t see it enough that’s why I started. Hope you continue to enjoy 🫶
@@ReadingOverReality I'm sure I will you had me at book haul 😁.
@@B.B.H2.0 haha ion know if there will be too many more of them this big though once tax season is over 😂😂😂
@ReadingOverReality 😁😁🤣🤣🤣 Maybe not, but I'm sure there will be plenty of book reviews coming soon.
Love this video ❤ the baby playing dinosaurs was too adorable!! 😂❤
😂😂🫶🫶 thank you. ❤️
This was too fun
🫶☺️ glad you enjoyed it!!!
Thanks for the low down on Amazon. Gonna try to shop local or thriftbooks.
No problem, I don’t know how true it is so take it with a grain of salt but it is always good to thrift & support small businesses!
I have read all the Dune books and I will say they are pretty dense, so I would recommend following along with the audiobook. It’s what I did on my first read. The two movies out currently, Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two only adapt the first book, and it might be a few years till we get the third film. So I would say it might be possible to watch the movies first, get the gist, and then read the book with a better understand and to see the differences. Then you can read the other books which are much shorter lol. I also say that because I HIGHLY suggest watching Dune: Part Two while it is still in theatres and still in IMAX because it is STUNNING and Zendaya is a revelation in it.
That’s fine I like when series are very dense/intricate, with well thought out plots. If I watch the movies I’m not going to read the books, I just can’t really get into a book if I know exactly what happens. & I don’t really go to movie theaters either lol so I won’t be seeing it until it pops up on one of the apps anyways so I got a little time to get it read. But I really can’t wait to see Zendaya so I need to read it fast
@@ReadingOverReality That’s great then! It’s super intricate so I’m sure you’ll have fun with that. One of the best sci-fi/fantasy universes in my opinion.
New to your channel and the first video I see is a book haul I’m here for it lol
Haha welcomeeee 🙌🏾🫶
The Coldest Winter Ever is THAT GIRL.
Yes ma’ammmmmm!!! The original!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
your energy is such a vibe! i love this video. keep doing you!!
Thank you 🥰♥️♥️
THIS IS THE SIGN!!! Love it!

if you're looking for books at an affordable price try thriftbooks or abebooks. They sell popular books second hand or from libraries getting rid of some inventory. You can also price match books at target so if a book is on sale somewhere else thats not a 2nd hand shop you can ask the cashier and you'll pay less. Also "name of the wind' by patrick rothfuss is also a great read.
Thank you, I do intent to start book thrifting! I get majority of my books from target on a regular basis and their books are always discounted in store but they’re typically even more discounted online so I always price match with their app. But I’ll look into that book I haven’t started the one I got yet. Thanks for the rec 🥰
Heeeeyyy sis!
Heyyyyy girl 👋♥️
I have never read Patrick Rothfuss so please check for yourself, but I think that The Narrow Road Between Desires is a novella or short story within a larger series. Just a heads up in case it is.
Oh wow okay i’m going to check. I would hate if I started in the middle of a series 😩🤦🏾♀️😂 thank you!
@@ReadingOverRealityGoodreads FTW every time. But someone that’s actually read Rothfuss may be able to tell you if it can actually be read as its own little story.
just subscribed!!! i’m also trying to have my own library one day. i have almost 200 books so far!
Thank you & whew I need to count how many I have now. Definitely not 200 though.
Love and Other Words is on my tbr too!!
It’ll be on my March reading wrap up tomorrow. Girl go ahead & get it off the tbr! 😩🙌🏾
This was such a good haul. Girrrllll Life After Death pissed me off. 🤣🤣🤣 I still have it on my reading cart and really need to unhaul it. But I hate wasting my money. I can’t wait to get and read This Could Be Us.
Thank you and 😂😂😂 it pissed me off so bad I didn’t even care bout to money. Threw it right in the garbage. Don’t even want nobody else to read it 😂 and you will loveeee this could be us.
@@ReadingOverReality 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have love and other words haven’t read it yet but the cover is BEAUTIFUL.
I actually just finished it. I recommend reading it. It was good but I am biased against romance lol so I gave it like a 3.5
It is so good
@@AmakaEzeokoli Shawnaci Shroeder describes it as a warm hug & I definitely agree. It’s something warm & comforting about it.
Love and others words is so good!!!!
I finished it last week it was good ♥️
Powerless was my top read of 2023, it’s soooo good
Ngl I’m kinda just hoarding that book because I don’t want to read it until the series is complete 😩😩😩😂 I hate incomplete series. Especially when it’s really good.
@@ReadingOverReality I had the same mindset then I found out book two is coming out this summer. Girl it’s SO good. The soft romance had me kicking my feet 🥰
@@graciousintentions Im going to read it when it gets closer to the release date.
i need to order the UK covers of magnolia parks!!! do you remember where you ordered from?
Blackwell’s
also girl, you are GLOWING 😍😍
Thank you 🫶♥️
All the bright places is also a movie really good the story is actually loosely based on a true story the author went through
Oh wow okay, I planned on reading that this week. Then I can watch the movie after. Thanks for telling me.
I need to buy me some books with my American dream money too!!
😂😂😂 yes ma’am!!!
Enjoyed the book haul ❤
🫶🫶 thank you ♥️
YESSS with the magnolia parks covers!!! Why would they change literal art to hideous feet covers 😭😭😭😭😭 I don’t know how anyone could actually like them they’re so bad 😭
lol I’m so confused because I always see people talk about how pretty they are & im like WHEREEE? 😂 definitely when the original covers look like that
@@ReadingOverReality I’m so confused too like I saw several TikTok’s of people being like, “it’s so stunning” ……stunning? STUNNING? Like the first book with the feet sticking out from under the table, first of all 🤓 ☝ Magnolia would never lay on the ground under a dirty table cause she has a thing about germs and I know BJ always wears vans but the cover makes his feet look like a kid and Daisy would never have her feet hanging out of a car window cause that’s a security risk, I’m convinced whoever designed them hasn’t read a single word inside the books 😭😭😭😭and also the colour scheme is so weird in my opinion and I still don’t know what could have possessed them to change them (anyway, sorry for the rant, I’ve just had no one to discuss these horrible covers to 😭😭😭)
@@belsboring 😂😂😂😂😂 haha I have yet to read them so I don’t know the details like you. But I agree they are HIDEOUS 😂 I plan to read them all in April so I’ll be on the look out for those details 😂😂😂
@@ReadingOverReality ohhhh ok, yeah that would make sense considering this is a haul 😹 just a little warning from me…when I read the first book I was so annoyed and irritated by everything and was like “is this the book everyone is talking about” but then I kept reading and it became strangely addicting (even though there were mistakes in the books) but I can’t wait for you to read about this guy named Julian in the books 🙌🙌🙌🙌
@@belsboring Ooouu okay, I’ll stick it out! I can’t wait too!
Your skin is beautiful❤, simply radiant!
Thank you ♥️🫶
Me too I heard the same thing about the books, so I stopped buying books from Amazon.
Yeah but honestly $30 for a book is outrageous. So I’m conflicted. 😐 also seems like target and Walmart may be doing the same thing because their prices are pretty much identical to Amazon’s. It’s time I get a library card 😩
Great haul!!!
Thank you ♥️
ur so prettyyyy
Thank you 🫶♥️
Great haul, and thanks for the uk info!! I’ve been searching for those covers and people were taxing. Also do you have a kindle? I normally read the book on there first and if I really like them then I purchase.
No problem, yeah they were only around $18 if I remember correctly + no tax or shipping. So I’m definitely going to be ordering more UK covers from there. & yes I have a kindle I do the same. I actually said that in the video but I cut it out lol but ALOT the books I like to read aren’t on KU and idk but I’m just not a pay for a book that I can’t actually physically have type of person. 😂😂😂 but I have definitely bought books after reading them on KU first
I was curious about the coldest winter but i'm not sure at my age 37 if i'll relate to it. Is it more YA?
The coldest winter ever is perfect for any age in my opinion. It’s urban fiction I don’t think any urban fiction is YA but I’m not 100% sure on that. I wouldn’t describe it as YA
Im a new subscriber and i love your intro song!
Hiiii welcome & thank you for subscribing, I really appreciate it 🥰♥️
Great haul! I have to read the Shatter Me series as well! I got all the physical books. For ToG, where should I read the Assassin’s Blade in the book order?
Also how does one get the original covers of Magnolia Parks?
I want to read the shatter me series but I’m so intimidated lol.
But me personally I think Assassins blade should be read first. I read it 4th because ppl recommended it & I was pissssseddddd! It provides so much background information that’s talked about in every book & fills in gaps not explained in the other books. It feels like being with 2 people & they’re talking about something they didn’t tell you about. Also it’s not as fast paced just like the first 2 books they’re leading too the actual plot but not necessarily apart of the actual plot. & it talks about some side characters that aren’t really in the series anymore/yet so I kinda wasn’t interested plus the end of Heir of fire was crazyyyy to me so I was just ready to get to Queen of shadows. Sorry that was long lol I get passionate about that reading order 😂
I got the original cover MP books from a website called Blackwells. It’s a UK company, they weren’t crazy expensive plus they were tax free & free shipping. Mine came in like less than a week but I’ve heard some ppl’s take a while.
@@ReadingOverReality I REALLY appreciate you taking time to explain your recommendation for ToG. I am reading the Legendborn series and The Women currently. After those I would like to get into Shatter Me. I’ll probably complete the Shatter Me series over April/May. Hopefully you’ll start in the next three months but no pressure. I’m just grateful you’re a part of the reading community! Happy reading! Peace and blessings! 🙏🏽
@@Esperanza828 no problem. Love to talk about it. And I think I’ll be starting shatter me next month so we can keep each other updated
your voice is really so sweet 😍
Hah thank you 🥰♥️
you should try to go thrift for books
I plan to once I get through some of these books. Don’t want to have too many unread ones.
Thanks for introducing Amalie Howard.
I just found in Goodreads that Amalie wrote a middle grade book.
I haven't read Sister Souljah's book, and I haven't heard the best things about the sequel. Ashley, from BookishRealm introduced me to Sister Souljah.
All The Bright Places is also another sad book. 😢
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with Imagine Me (the ending of Shatter Me series).
No problem. I’m excited to read the book of hers I got. And you should when you get a chance. & awe man that makes me nervous, I’m so excited to read the shatter me series!
