My neighborhood is working together to survive the future. We are building up the entire community. Thankfully everyone in the neighborhood has good skills and grows food.

My area is filled with Mennonites , Amish , Homesteaders and ex military. Just on my road we have a builder, electrician, solar engineer, booze makers , people who can make bio diesel, people who make methane gas and people who know how to preserve food without the grid. It’s not unusual in my area to be without electricity for days at a time. A lot of people even in the small towns have outdoor kitchens but in the South it makes sense because cooking inside during the Summer is bad.

Thankfully, neighbors who have houses also have hand-tools as well as power-tools.
I agree you shouldn't flaunt anything you have that others find useful. But during normal times, it's just expected that neighbors will borrow tools. In my case, I've standardized on a very budget line of tools that won't cause envy among my neighbors.

This is why you need to have your neighbors on board and part of your MAG, But yes, even then circles in circles for OPSEC.

Don’t want my neighbor coveting my stuff, like my last neighbor, boy could she covet.

Be friendly with your neighbors but DON’T BE FRIENDS! KEEP YOUR NEIGHBORS OUT OF YOUR HOME AND PERSONAL BUSINESS.
