This whole final battle sequence felt like a page from a Spider-man comic and an epic conclusion of a Spider-man film. This was a gem for me. Many thanks to Insomniac and the many who made this game a reality.
I love everything about this ending. Martin as the main villain ended up being the second. The misterious villain resulted to be behind everything and was a big twist we all expected. Peter hurt risking his life making a new suit just to save his aunt and going to fight him without rethinking the situation, knowing he can fail and get more people killed but still risking his life against his boss, his mentor, his friend. The moment Otto stabs him represents how their friendship ends and they could kill each other for their goals. Peter had to destroy their creation, something that could help a lot of people ended up in a killing machine. Peter refuses to help Otto and takes a new path leaving him with his broken arms which soon will be taken by the police making him feel useless and angry. Then the hard decision of choosing between May or the civilians, Spider-Man is a hero. But he can't always save everyone. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for a good future even if it looks bad for you. This. Is. Spider-Man. This is what I waited for the last 2 years. An excellent game that doesn't show us the classic origin story but a new one. Ben Parker is gone but the story is a clear reference to "With great power, comes great responsibility". Congratulations Insomniac, you didn't just perfect Spider-Man and Peter Parker but made a great adventure that made people restore our hopes for Spider-Man adaptations, specially in video games. It's a perfect and beautiful game. Thank you. 10/10

Your King Gotta disagree, this one beats Spectacular. Just on the fact of the relationship built with him. We knew he was gonna become Doctor Octopus, but they made us connect with his character before the arms to make us want him to NOT go off the deep end. Both Otto’s are sympathetic, but this one tops it.
Ridogmusic while the Spider-Man 2 version I did enjoy, his motives didn't make sense to me. The idea that the tentacles took over his mind and body make sense since they were controlled by an on board AI, but the fact that when they were in control they wanted to continue to finish the machine didn't make sense, I don't get why the AI would care about that after they were in control. What really made this Dock Ock so fantastic was the fact that nothing took him over. This was all Otto, but what happened was he screwed himself up and the tenticles amplified his anger. This was more so of a fall of pure character, where Spiderman 2 Otto wasn't the one behind everything exactly.

After watching this for the hundredth time (yes, I'm addicted) I suddenly noticed at 1:38 that Ock blocks Spidey's "perfect dodge" webshot to the eyes. Love the continuity from the scene where he first reveals the tentacles and shows that they react faster than a natural nervous system, so his reflexes are now comparable to Spidey's. I also love how ominous his entry into the bunker is; they nod to the Spiderman 2 film with the shaking thumps, but actually make it intimidating here as opposed to the film which (though awesome in many ways,) overdid that bit enough that it got silly. They also improved on the film's version of Ock by making the mind-altering more believable; in the film, his arm-induced obsession to recreate the fusion experiment also made the formerly good man sadistic and sarcastic for some reason, here he simply loses control of his rage, hatred and paranoia, as seen by the savage and animalistic way he fights. Absolutely brilliant version of the character.
There’s an ongoing series called ASM: Renew Your Vows which follows Peter, MJ and their daughter fighting crime together. MJ has a special suit that let’s her absorb half of Spider-Man’s power.
Homecoming made me feel spiderman was shown as an inferior guy to iron man, which i did not like.. This is just my personal opinion... I always knew spiderman from my childhood as an intelligent scientist who knows what he is doing... He doesn't need to be part of avengers.... He by himself is a fantastic super hero... This game totally delivers on what i want and expected from spiderman... Thank you insomniac for such an awesome game
Anybody else got ASM 1 vibes from the Oscorp tower fight scene. Octopus breaking Spiderman's web shooters is similar to how Lizard crushes Spidey's web shooters in ASM. Also, the whole tower breaking and falling off is so similar. It makes sense to take inspiration from the previous Spiderman movies considering they are all Sony properties.

Even when he is up against his most terrifying opponents he is always holding back (as per comics). He so super strong that his punch can kill. Spidey is always trying to save not kill.
I’ve always found part of doc ocks strength to mostly be in the skill with his arms, on top of their strength, as far as I’ve read in the comics besides his arms he doesn’t have any superhuman abilities, though his arms are strong enough to withstand spideys strength, and doc has shown to be amazing at using them in combat, as of fisk, he’s not NORMALLY Spider-Man level, or shouldn’t be at least, though his body is actually like 90% muscle even though it appears fat, which is definitely superhuman as when you look at some of his feats he definitely has shown to be stronger and more durable than any human on earth (at least currently) can do, also, Spider-Man is fairly durable, though his endurance has its limits, his body heals faster slightly, and he’s no joke durability wise, though bullets still pierce him, so thugs with guns hurting him definitely makes sense, normal ones really shouldn’t too much though

Actually he didn’t earlier in the game Otto assumed Peter designed Spiderman‘s equipment but what Peter did not know is that Otto had suspicions of him actually being Spiderman but when he went all Cray Cray he figured it out by the first time he saw Spiderman/Peter at the raft you can tell he realizes it’s Peter by the face he makes after he throws him off the ledge of the raft into the water

more like Arkham city lol. Hero fights villain while trying to get a cure to save an important figure in his life. Despite getting the cure, the infected person is unable to get it and dies. However, Batman doesn't love Joker like spiderman loves may lol
