This kitchen is absolutely gorgeous to look at but it is going to be so impractical to work in. While cooking you have to walk across the island to get to the sink (say washing something off quickly) and the fridge is so far away that you're constantly going to be walking back and forth. The cabinet in between the fridge and the range creates at least 2 extra steps that are going to count in the homeowners lives. I had a huge kitchen like this and while it looked phenomenal I found that the size of it caused such impracticalities when cooking in it which is why I spot these problems now. The previous kitchen concentrated the use in one area and _that was not a bad thing_ except for the open dishwasher problem. *It is good to work in a compact kitchen*, there are usually not more than one or two cooks doing the actual work at a time so you have to design it for one or two people. This kitchen does not have the golden triangle that's the pillar of good kitchen design because the sink is on the far side of the island and the fridge is too far down, it should have been right next to the range. Yes it would probably not have looked as good but it would have been so much more practical to work in.
Love everything about this! And that curved wall to house that beautiful stove is perfection! Although I am wondering why you chose to put the sink on the other side of the island and not closer to the stove? Wouldn’t it be harder to be washing and cutting up vegetables then walking around the island to cook it? Seems like it should’ve been placed closer to the stove 🤷🏽
