Just want to clarify as I didn’t make it very clear in the video, I always prefer testing wireless devices in a busy street but, there are too many variables, so the test in this video is only one example. The official transfer distance is 400m.
Always love and trust Lok’s reviews - probably one of the few creators who is more balanced and not falling over himself to only show the good bits of any new kit.. Always appreciate the honesty, keep the videos coming Lok! ❤❤
Depends on your needs, I’d suggest doing research. I don’t know much about the rode mini, but if you want it for a DJI camera, like dji action 5 pro or 4, then I’d suggest the Dji mic mini.
17:45 strong noise cancellation, hear much clear of construction drill and suppress vocal feels funny, and I think it's good enough for everyone to lost that tiny mic and buy it again LOL....
Having had and used the DJI Mic 2 since it came out, making several videos on feature and flaws (no backup recording while connected via bluetooth to smartphones being the big one, since you can’t then bring just the mic and a phone and record a crappy bt audio track to your video and easily sync and replace it with a decent internal recording later) the Dji Mic Mini is probably the version most people should get, unless one REALLY needs the internal backup recording done internally on the Dji Mic 2’s (most people don’t need it for hobby video, necessary for «pro» use/paid productions). The bluetooth option is unusable anyway on both versions, and *most* people don’t need the 32 bit float quality of the internal dji mic 2 recordings unless they are recording in conditions where audio levels might go from normal to REALLY LOUD (i.e. during football matches or other sporting events, interviewing really exited people or recording audio from speakers who talk *really* loud at times, but then fluctuates between loud and normal volumes). However: if one has a older iphone (with lightning), use a thick case on their phone, or use an android without usb c the Mini is not a really good option, and not the mic 2 either :/
Just bought a set of these for 120 bucks after promos and Cashback, which makes them even cheaper than the Hollylands. Crazy value amd features in such a small package!
@@danielarifin7805 Germany, which was surprising myself because usually we get shafted on new electronics prices. But Mastercard is doing a €30 cashback thing with the biggest electronics retailer for any purchase over 100, and that retailer also had some extra black friday promos going on.
The switch for mono/stereo is a great idea. It sound a bit muffled when you hid it under your clothes. I wish I could have heard both ways equally: hid and not hid. When playing back the recorded video on your phone is there an audio thru or bypass that you can still hear the audio while it's still plugged in? Awesome review... thank you!!!
You’re right I only realised during editing that, the cardigan I wore at home is a bit too thick and made the sound muffled; I think those outdoor footages were better. I’ve just tested plugging the receiver in my USB-C iPad and also via Lightning adapter (I asked for the adapter a bit too late and it only arrived on the video release day) on my iPhone, yes video playback with sound through the speaker. I tried when connected by Bluetooth to my iPhone, no sound when playback video on my iPhone (Android phones may have more setting on this, I’m not sure)
As these don't have internal recording they actually solve one of my main problems with the DJI mics so far: audio drift. I had terrible problems with the first version (drift after 5 minutes of recording) that persist onto the second version, but not having any form of internal recording on the mini makes that a non-issue 😆I'm guessing this is aimed to compete with the Hollyland etc options that were significantly cheaper than the DJI and Rode mics.
Having a brain cramp understanding bringing a battery (llano) in a bulky case to charge my camera batteries. Can't I just bring more camera batteries? Esp nowadays batteries and cameras have USB-C ports built in.
Hey Lok, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, would you love to have a new logo for your channel which creatively shape around your Lok name that you can overlay on your video thumbnail and also I can make graphical merchs print arts for your fans to get as well. Would you love to have me to work with you on these? :-)

I like this. And this guy's accent is pretty awesome.
The sound is nice, too!
So nice to see small, excellent audio.
I wish they put small text straight on the unit to explain LED light colors. Even if they put something like that on the charging case.
Thank you for showing us this great (and small) product, Lok! You broke down everything wonderfully and clearly 🤩🤩👏👏
Rode got mini, now DJI also has mini….. which is a better buy…..

I enjoyed the review😍
Nice one! I do like that receiver design
Very nice. On my shopping list. 👍🏻

Great review!
That is tiny!! Smaller than the hollyland !! Great review as usual lok
No, it is heavier and bulkier.

seems everyone take notes on Hollyland Lark series, let's wait Hollyland to make their next move.
these look like dream, now my pocket is itchy :)
should've make the clip look like picomic or the suhr movemic.
Does the receiver that comes with this also allow the Mic 2 to be connected to it?
Will the mic mini connect to the DJI mic 1 & mic 2 receiver?
whats that llano charger call. i got the dual charger withou built in powerbank
I wish they didn't make the DJI Mic 2 glossy! I need a new mic.

Confirm is no
@dwiyu.rap_ u tried it urself ?
Thanks Lok!! The audio sounds pretty good. Getting tired of bad audio during videos lately.
The receiver for me too large

They do appear to be producing some really well thought through products. Great review.
built in backup recording and mini jack lapel support are kind of important though 😮
Not to the average user…most people don’t want the hassle of matching audio. I moto vlog and just want a combined track.
Great review!
