I commend your effort in bad weather. :) First rule of camping in heavy snow: don't put your tent up near leaning trees with heavy now. :) The tree could break from the weight and crush you and the tent, not just the snow which is what happened in this case. You were lucky. :) LOL This was a nice video! Enjoyed it a lot!

As you were shoveling snow, I was working out. After hunting a few seasons here in frigid Montana, we found that a straight walled canvas tent works the best. After setting it up and getting the floor set up, it’s best to get the stove fired up so the snow accumulation is at a minimum. Your idea of sleeping in the car is a good idea, always have another plan in mind if something goes wrong. As usual another excellent video!!
I grew up in Alaska so I’m familiar with the struggles of being at the mercy of the elements - we called that “sleet” - I love and commend how you didn’t allow it to deter your peace and joy. Course having our beloved furry friend helps 🫠 not to mention tofu kimchi ❤ a secondary slanted snow cover works wonders 🙌🏾 😊cheers from California.
