FIFA 14 Tutorial: Most Effective Skill Moves (Xbox One/PS4/Xbox 360/PS3)

The tutorials I did on skill moves back in the spring is continuing again now with FIFA 14. We are starting out pretty simple, to help those who don't know anything about skilling. We will eventually move into more advanced skill moves and combos as time goes on.
Next tutorial should be out next week :)

Thanks man, I've been playing FIFA for years and have never come across decent tutorial video for skill moves, keep them coming.
sometimes you try the skills and the players don't fucking do it. FIFA 14 sucks

badr khaled I fucking know i didn't just pick up fifa the other day -_- I've played every fifa since 2000 and sometimes when i do shit fast the game doesn't respond especially with tricks, i know it's not just me who has this problem too FIFA need to sort a lot of shit out because 14 plays like it's completely broken and rushed game.

I find ball roll + 180 degree scoop turn the most effective...also looks really really nice
I find the most effective skill move is one the most simple if not the most simple. (the shoulder drop) where when running you just flick the right analog stick perpendicular to the direction you're running and then turning your direction with the left analog stick. It is so easy and you keep your momentum, not like and fake shot where they stumble, but you can continue your run in the opposite direction, in right+angles or just to adjust slightly. :)

yeh that one. same principle i just couldn't remember the actually name.
I think it can be quite hard to learn skill moves. I mean you practice in the arena with a "behind the back" camera and try to memorize the move you want.
Then you play a match and the camera is from a side angle instead. Now you can't just do what you did before, you have to adjust to the new camera angle.
I'm a new player and I find this a bit of a problem. Why would I practice skill moves in a camera angle I never use?

For those who dont know the mevel determines whether or not the olayer can do it for example Pedro is either a 4 or 5 star skiller meaning he can do up those star skill moves it doesnt determine difficulty.

This are the only skill moves i use, so i think they're the most effective too, great tutorial ;)
All very useful and only due to watching your game play videos i realised the benefit of learning and using them

The most effective skill move for me, by far, is the body feint.
awesome video i did know most of it didn't know about sprinting and about 5/4 stars skills difference i hope you gonna make more of this since there is no one making this on youtube.

Great great great turorial!!! Finally a simple tutorial with basic trics!
Another useful skill move is the one where you flick the stick forward, and then backward immediately after. It's not 100%, but it's quite good for drifting past opponents who are charging at you. If you pull it off against a full-back, you can really charge into a lot of space.

Because of the dofferent camera angles sometimes you will have to flick the joystick different ways depending on how your facing but it always works just figure it out and practice

Body feint is easily the most effective!! You maintain full control of the ball and speed! So precise it can get you out of the tightest gaps
Just FYI there is an easier way to do the chop you flick the right analog stick down diagonally twice whichever direction you want to go to

Very effective skills! I found the heel to heel move quite effective as well, when you slow down and then burst with it you'll leave the defender behind.

Because its differnt on camera angles , if ur on tele broadcast its going to be differnt if ur on the wing or something
I have had trouble doing these moves, everyone like this so it goes up! So u have to do the skill move side ways if u are playing the regular cam, the move starts behind the player so if ur going forward in a regular cam to spin u put right stick start from left then complete te half circle

I can do most if not all skill moves in the arena, however when I try to perform them in a game they either don't do anything or do a completely different skill. I'm using the right stick combos so what am I not understanding?

How do you get into a empty field?
I can only play v.s. a full team or the skill games but not with a keeper in the goals and empty field.
is skills always done the way you show? or do you have to change the way you move the RS, depending on which direction you're going? please answer, I really want to learn, but i can't really manage to do the roulette while playing an online game. only when Im on the training pitch with 3rd person view.
these are pretty much the basic skill moves i think the heel to heel chop is very effective aswell
The Fake Rabona (idk how to spell it) is very effective too. I do it all the time on the wing.
I really think the elastico chop but I don't really know in which situations to use it, can you please make a tutorial on that?
When ever i do a roulette the player just does a stepover
You have to start circle (right stick) behind your back. So, if you are facing right, you need to start circle at left.

DFrank You always have to take into account direction which your player is facing. Technically its for all skill moves i.e. McGeady spin - if you are facing right, you have to flick Right, then Up (or Down). If you are facing left, flick Left then Up (or Down)

If you are facing top you have to start circle (for Roulette skill move) at bottom. McGeady spin = flick up, flick right/left. Its easy guys. Those are some stupid questions :)

for ps3 backheel chop is done with circle on opponents side
What about that skill when you roll the ball in one direction and do a stepover and take the ball in other direction?

my favourite is roulette/Maradona when i concede and get angry i just sprint from kick off and roulette everyone creates so many chances
Whenever I try to do the mcgeady my player just does a step over. What do I do to fix this?
I have to do all my skill moves sideways. What can i do to make them normal? Example. For the rainbow i have to go left, right, right.

The best skill move to do is some simple stepovers. You can do it with every outfield player, and you can do it in almost any situation.

Ok so if you are playing an actual game and you try to do a skill move, do you have to aim the analog stick in the direction shown on screen (in the case of the roulette UP) or would you aim it to where you would be attacking? (If you were attacking to the left, then you would aim left sort of thing)

you should build a silver squad around Aboubakar before the silver tournaments come out and the prices rise! He's a fast and strong silver from Ligue 1. someone is already trying to pricefix him at over 3k though so I would try and get him while you can :/

Do on new gen left footed skillers still do trick with their right foot?

why dont any of the skill moves work in a match they only work in the practise area when their inna game instead of doing the skill they only to step overs instead

The feint move is actually effective but only at the right time, if you do it early then you can lose the ball easily.
Good tutorial even if I know this skill but you might forgot heel to heel (right stick up, right stick down) for eliminate keeper for example. ^^

Is it just me or does anybody else find that there is no good camera angle like that fixed camera in nhl, but for FIFA?.. All the cameras are side views which messes up the skill stick dekes, and the North and South angles dont show enough of the field.. To me this game would almost be perfect if they made a solid north-south camera angle.
the practice arena direction isnt the same as in game right?
