Hello Dr. Sharma, thank you for the helpful video illustration. My cast was removed one day ago after 6 weeks of immobilization of the wrist. I moved my fingers while in a cast. Now, I’m able to move my wrist and hand, but can’t fully (supinate) rotate my wrist to have my hand palm up. My supination is currently limited to maybe 30%. Is this quite normal?
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain what to expect when the cast comes off. A lot of videos give exercises without explaining why they are almost impossible to do in full just after the cast has been removed. It is a gradual process. Also very helpful advice about treating the skin. Best wishes for your important work!
Thanks madam,, my cast was removed recently and i am following your exercises,,this one is really helpful and you know the correct spot where pain occurs,,,thanks 🤩
Thank you Dr. Parma, your video outlines a simple, easy to follow, soothing, and gentle way to care for my recently post cast right distal radius avulsion fx. I didn’t have surgery. Your confidence, knowledge and voice are easy to listen to and want to continue to listen to.
Thank you maam, I saw this video just now. Due to lockdown I cannot go for physiotherapy and am very glad to see so many exercises shown by you. Some I can do only half way now, but maybe lateron I will improve. Thanks again for a very useful video.
Thank you so much Doc for a very timely information. I have a wrist fracture since june 2, 2922 after the removal of plaster cast i could hardly open my righf palm until now for almost 8 months i stlll feel tha pain. I will apply the exercises you have recommended again thanks much and God bless and keep you safe always
Mam, thank you so much for the important video, after 6 week my wrist is so strip can't move but after doing work exercise now I can slowly moving my wrist. Thanks a lot.
Thanks ma’am i got bone fractured in wrist and i got metal planted now i done 5 sessions of therapy but something pain so I found your video can helps me do exercises all time
Yours is the best video I've seen for someone like me who has just had one's cast removed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I wish all your videos were also available in english.
You are amazing.. best video on RUclips available for free.. I just got off my wrist pop and the excercises explained are really really helpful.. thank you doctor 🙏
my mother also recently broke her writst but the pop din't work for her . the joint was dislocated it has been two months should i go for surgery. but my mother is very afraid of surgeroy and she hates it bez she had multiple surgery before. Now she is able to perform daily live activites but has problem of pain will she recover as time passes if yes by what percentage.
Thanq so much mam, for this I remove the the cast 3days ago.. bt I was scaring about the stiffness of the hand.. bt ur video really help me a lot Thanku again
@@PonkhiSharma I had surgery in mid January 2020 .But my finger knuckles are very stiff and arched . How can I get rid of this stiffness and deformity . Love your video .
Thank you very much Dr. Sharma. I had watched so many videos about wrist fracture exercise, but your video is what I liked the most. I worried a lot of my hands especially the wrist reduced but when I saw your video it relaxes my mind.
Thank you for your sharing. I had a total broken ulna and distal radius in my right arm for 6 weeks after surgery done next day. I am in pain and recovering through exercises and massage from these similar communities that I am learning.
Thank you very much! I learned a great deal about wrist exercises from this video. I suffered a distal radial fracture and displacement of the distal ulna while on vacation outside the USA. Unfortunately, according to two orthopedic surgeons I consulted in the USA, the original surgeon did a poor job. They believe the surgeon failed to properly attach the broken fragment from the distal head of the radius and did not address the misalignment of the ulna.
Thank you so much for this video. I didn’t get a cast as the NHS apparently only does a splint for a non-displaced fracture now. I bought a more immobilising one from Amazon as the amount of potential movement was too much for my comfort. I have taken it off after 8 weeks. It feels vulnerable, weak, and very inflexible! I’m hopeful that doing these exercises will bring back my ability to bend it more than 30° downwards and about 25° upwards. It’s not even the pain that stops it - it’s odd. It just won’t budge. I’m hopeful that it’s muscles that have tightened up. Day 1 complete 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! I just got my cast off 3 days ago, and my wrist has been hurting, and it’s very weak. These exercises have helped a lot, and the improvement is really fast! I’m so glad I found this video! Tysm! 🧡
Hi My physiotherapist asked me to dip my hand in ice cold water n my Dr advised me to put my hand in warm water. Was bit confused n I consulted another Dr. She advised me to use warm water. I saw ur video n hv cleared my doubt.
Video helps a lot. Excellent, 100 % more information than my orthotic dr told me. I broke my wrist in 3 places, minimally deplaced 6/20/20. I did not want surgery. I am in a lot of pain. One of the bones moved out of place and was casted that way. :(
Hope you're getting better by now....BTW, I also chose not to have the surgery (with plate & screws) and had Dr. set it the old fashioned way. But I ended up with a pressure point on back of my hand from the splint. Have a whole lot of extra pain/swelling/stiffness from that. But after 5 weeks, it's improving slowly but surely. Hope you get well soon.
These days orthopaedic doctors insists on putting plate or Criss cross wire in the wrist. Normal old pattern of setting the bones and putting Plaster is gone. Doctors need big money from every Customer. ( Big city fashion).
@@amber0rangee I can already do the exercise with the elastic band over the fingers and the one where the fingers are bent down, brought up to straight and opened. The cast limits full movement but my hand is getting stronger. May God bless you!
I really like this video. I recently removed the cast from my wrist and I started physio therapy. Your video is helping me a lot. I have one suggestion though. When making videos like this, pay more attention to capture all exercises moves. At some parts of video I was guessing how should I hold my fingers or hand. Thank you 🙏
Thank you Dr.Sharma...i will follow ur exercises ...it seems they vl give me some relief in my stiff fingers..n vl b able to close my 👊 fist ...thank you 👍
Thanks so much for all your suggestions! I did not have surgery after a wrist fracture that involved both distal and ulna. They were 30 degrees from the correct alignment and because of that have healed with a deformity. It caused carpal tunnel for which I’ve just had surgery 3 weeks ago. I have arthritis I’m my thumb also. Are there any exercises I should avoid because of the arthritic thumb? I would appreciate it if you had a video on arthritic hands too! Thanks again, I love this video and have been doing it faithfully!
Just found you. Thank you. I will give these a try. So afraid I will never get my ROM back to my wrist. You answered so many of my questions - especially about swelling. Got my cast off three days ago, I want to be aggressive but I also don’t want to hurt it. Are there things I should not be doing? My orthopedic surgeon limited me to one pound to the left hand. I really like your exercises that will bring my forearm muscles back. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge.
Thank you so much mam ....I fall off while taking bath and my hand got fracture because of lockdown I suffer alot at home ..... finally I got your video and hoping for some changes ... thank you alot....👌😍
