XRPL is designed to be trustless, you don't need to back it with something. XRP is fungible you cant distinguish one XRP token from another XRP token. You just need to ask yourself this question, who would buy this "xrp backed by whatever" for however much they price it in, when anyone can just easily buy it in the open market for its open market price. Follow that up with, who will front the buying of the backing asset and will other countries agree to this and this whole idea falls apart. You may end up hurting alot of vulnerable people hyping this up.
I was thinking the same thing about a set higher price to all BRICS nations as well as Saudi Arabia when they manipulate oil prices, we offset that by adjusting their cost of use for transactions. I also think the price should be adjusted higher for the Nations in violation of G20 or UN rules laws and regulations. For Green energy a higher price can be set for fossil fuels and corporations that harm the environment.
I am about 5 minutes into this. At this juncture my question is where do I redeem my token for gold? It sounds like another fiat at first look. Will this plan also allow for fractional banking? Ripple needs to become a bank and a high price for XRP. If Ripple will be used globally with an understanding that XRP will be the utility token. XRP holders sell their XRP to the Bank. However, if the XRP doubles etc then the holders that sold the XRP also get the new price. So, 1 XRP to 10,000 and in 5 years gone to 50k then the government will another 40k. Just a thought.

Its a big jump from pledging your xrp to a common fund ( bank) and then "saying' its worth $10k per xrp and using that to get loans. Question is who will loan you fiat based on that made up value of $10k ?? Seems a bit fanciful surely?
So cryptolews XRP utility analysis is 10/10 some of his previous videos on this are a must watch. His research on Ripple partners although sometimes reaching is also very very good. I do however have an issue with these types of interviews and the blind speculation that goes on regarding XRP backing, buybacks and price predictions which are based on 🤷🏻♂️. These interviews are just XRP puff pieces with no evidence to back up any of what they are saying because there frankly is none. I like XRP and hold XRP but I’m also a realist and make decisions based on facts and evidence not just what I would like to happen. I’m not hating I just think this rose tinted narrative isnt helping.

The casual matter of factness to assuage peoples potential unease at hearing something insane. The casual matter of factness to assuage peoples potential unease at hearing something insane. Talking of a seperate $10k pool of XRP like it's not patently ridiculous for example makes, by comparison, the lazy and apparently laughable offer to buy up 2 billion XRP for a measly 5 bucks look so logical and simple. To an uneducated viewer, not least of which the "interviewer" himself (!), it all seems to suddenly make sense.
I still haven't figured out whether Lew Lew, Rector and Molly have clocked yet that they are the disposable PR team for a shameless scam, or if they're more complicit. In Lew Lew's case it seems to matter less given the guy bought his followers and views...does scamming bots still count as scamming? (Look back 6 months...he went from 950 views on a vid to 150k in a 2 week window 😂)

Uganda has found 13 trillion dollars in gold I i think Lithium was also found in other parts of Africa, which is huge for battery's for upcoming electrical vehicles..first thing they need to do is set up rules, on their own terms and ensure the companies that bid for the contract get a portion..not the inline share of the gold, also ensure that the environmental rules are applies so as not to ruin the land and fight contamination and run off! Don't borrow money from the IMF and the World bank..corrupt European crooks!
