Back when I was on xbox me and my buddies went into a trio match with nothing but hand X-bows, walked out with 2 team wipes. I got mosin/uppercut, my two friends got martini/bornheim and an Avto/Dual uppers 😂 fun times
It was a very dark night in the Bayou. I remember waking up from the furious neighing of the horses heading north. Probably a stagecoach dumped me here, and someone stole my revolver. Naked and afraid, I wandered the wet swamps of this godforsaken land. Suddenly, I hear a deafening roar breaking the silence of the night. It was a fucking nitro express. Meanwhile a flock of crows took off, a few hundred meters away. I don't know why I was there, nor did I know the identity of my tormentor, but I was certain of one thing: I would be one of the next prey. Fortunately, I found shelter from a group of angry dogs in a small abandoned shack north of what looked like a large graveyard. Trembling and afraid, I managed to get my hands on an old blunt ax. It was still drenched in dried blood. I knew I was done for, but I preferred to die cut in two by a nitro than eaten alive by the infected. So, guided by the ambient noises, I followed the tracks of that beastly gunshot. me and my ax. I posted along the marsh, it seemed to me a good spot for an ambush. The only safe way was a group of logs on the water, otherwise the murky waters filled with water devils. And so, a figure approaches the shore. He looked like a hooded man dressed in an old military jacket. He started to cross the water, but realized the devils too late. It was the moment I was waiting for. With a parched throat and trembling hands, I ran towards him as he tried to get back to shore. But it was too late. I stuck the ax in his chest. His expression of anger and pain startled me, so I pulled the ax from the sternum to plant it again on his neck. Blood gushed like rivers as the water devils rioted furiously. The man fell to his knees, dropping the rifle. It was him, the nitro! A few seconds later "Bang". My brain exploded with a nagant blast. Man, I love this game!
If I was above a banishing bounty and heard two people die almost simultaneously to a derringer, I would not be hanging around to find out what other monster now resides in the lair.
We have seen hardcore mode, we've seen naked runs. Soon enough we will see 'monitor off, decoy kills only'. Loved the video though, Mike. 8:20 was beautiful.
My "gimmick" loadouts that I use to unwind and have fun are PAX + Explosive Crossbow to hit someone with the pax, then blow them up as they duck behind cover to heal. My other just for fun loadout is double romero hatchets. If you're worried about range you can grab a derringer, or if you have money to throw around kit each one out with 1 set of slugs. Then you have basically 2 slugs loaded up at all times, and you have space for buckshot, penny shot for bosses or to guarantee close range 1-shots, or some of the wacky ammo like starshell or dragonsbreath that you can use for your ranged option to try to burn a bar before they push into slug range.
The amount of times pulling out a knife and stabbing them works is surprisingly high. I have seen spectator footage of Prestige 20+ Hunters who headshot me, just die to some dude running at them with a knife.
Should have included the derringer shot that was routed through 2 different postal carriers before it finally hit its target 🤣🤣🤣. Nice highlights of what happened overall though, well done! Finding that Sparks then immediately getting a headshot was priceless.
This and 0 to Hero are my favorite fun ways to play. Start with whatever the free hunter has, you can only add a melee weapon(if it doesn't come with one), and a medkit until level 25.
Me and my friends did this twice yesterday, we were inspired by a trio of hillbillies using only combat axes and one had a hand crossbow poison. We took combat axes, a knuckle knife, a medkit, and any syringes we wanted. in the first round, we only found a centennial and I used it to kill a trio while my friends chased them with the axe. we took their guns and the bounty they banished (single boss map) and got out. In the second round, we only found a sparks and a double barrel. i took the sparks and we joined both bounty teams fighting at healing waters. we killed 5 guys and all got out with both bounties.
Remember, Mike, BE the Bush. Think like a Tree. React like a Rhododendron. Liken (lycan) yourself to Leaves. Go Undercover in the Undergrowth. Shield yourself in the Swamp's shoots and sprouts. Use any of these for free when using your favourite cover xxxx great video xxxx

Did my own free hunter challenge, wasn't allowed anything but what came on the hunter with the exception of meds, for an entire prestige. Worked surprisingly well. I had 12 lol 50s by the end.

If no one has done this before try it out. The experience of being stealthy with a friend and planning your attacks was the most fun we have ever had playing the game.
25:50 Welcome to the latest patch where the hitboxes are just F! I've seen and had also plenty of times myself where the hits should be a hit. Nope it ends up with a shot a half a second di-rect-ly behind the hunter, going magically through them without damaging them! GG.
I have loaded in with my team, with absolutely nothing in my loadout (quite often, by mistake) and the frantic hunt for a gun begins with my team despairing at my stupidity, the feelingyou get extracting with a bounty, with guns is amazing though, some of the best matches lol
When we've been losing expensive loadouts me n my duo usually run axe+UC/axe+Nagant precision loadouts. Don't usually win but it's nice to take down a few mosin UC sweatbois with us
Oh PS, if you liked the movie Annihilation, you might enjoy the book. I call it the most exciting book where nothing happens! Kinda spooky like the movie.
Watching some of that Derringer stuff it looks like the actual problem is it has terrible hit detection, but they didn't expect anybody to use it so didn't fix it.
Your encounter at 25:40 looked like a latency issue. Earlier in that game your hit marker took a bit to register, so you are probably playing in Neenoh's server region. So the guy stabbed you before your shot registered.
hunt is a game where u actually don't need a weapon so this challenge is not a challenge at all, it would be if it was harder to kill enemy without a fireweapon, but u can just knife oneshot someone that has 3k $ hunter + now u can find ur firearm

My favorite part of naked runs is spectating the guys who killed us desperately trying to figure out where the fuck our guns are for like 5 minutes.
It's even funnier than watching the dude search for a lantern for 5 minutes to burn your solo ass!

If you get used to the range, the basic knife works just as well as a Bomblance for killing pvp.

my friends and I play a loadout called "jail break" Basically you're only allowed to go in with knife or dusters. Nothing else. It's a ton of fun.

GG - the crosshair was bugged and it is way bigger. It might not 100% cover him. Also jumping + shooting = bullet goes god knows where :D
