I saw the match as like a modern updated take on an old school territory match. A clear babyface vs a clear heel. Going the distance as a way to put over the importance of the title. Tons of interesting sequences and back-and-forths. I was skeptical going into the match but I had so much fun with it. Just great stuff all around.
The whole thing with will ospreay being hesitant of using the tiger driver is utterly ridiculous considering the fact that danielson still kicking and breathing along with heading into a main event match at all in.

Well it's a part of Will Osprey storyline he's hesitated on using the tiger drive so he won't have to end and the dynasty press conference he said that he would never use the move again because a pretty much that he's fighting his own darkness so he won't let the darkness win
They are bitter that MJF and Ospreay didnt sign with WWE. If this same match happened in WWE the same people complaining would be throwing parades about how great it was
Solo, I've been listening to you weekly since a few months before Wrestlemania 30 where the Danielson story got me back into wrestling. I can't take this toxic behavior or embarrassing fans any longer. Maybe I'll gather the want to come back many years own the line if things get better but I'm out.
I was in the building that night. The crowd was so into Ospreay, but my best friend yelled for MJF like her life depended on it. We couldn't even see the crowd spots or the trash can bit because everyone was on their feet, going crazy.
If they insist on the rematch at Wembley I don't think it'll be near as good. Once again it should have been the final chapter but instead is just the beginning.

I don’t think the match needed to be almost 60 minutes. Hell, Ospreay himself last year complained about that kind of style of match was taking a toll on his body and he just turned 30! Sometimes the human body is not built for that type of match.

Thank god social media wasn't around to the degree it is today during the WWF vs WCW war, that stuff was just pure fun for everyone, and everyone was kind of a winner because of it. Today it's like no one can be happy with one side or the other, it's almost like watching politics in some of these wrestling video comments. Best thing to do is ignore it, like what you like and just don't worry about what you don't. Enjoy with your friends and enjoy the stars and matches you like.
I was lucky enough to be there last Wednesday. Amazing match and so surprised to see an hour match take place. Oh and btw, the arena is not in Little Rock, it’s actually North Little Rock. The arena is right across the river from Little Rock.
AEW fans cannot complain about tribalism when they're the biggest tribalists, including Tony Khan. As the owner of AEW, Tony Khan has fuelled more tribalism than almost anyone and it's always backfired against him. Not to mention the AEW roster takes pointless and nonsensical jabs at WWE on television almost every week. Seeing as AEW fans, their owner, and roster are almost always taking shots at WWE, it's hard to get out the world's smallest violin when naysayers point out their declining ratings, poor attendances, and other declines. Not to mention AEW has Meltzer so far up Tony's cheeks with biased reporting that he may as well be employed by Khan. You reap what you sow, and Tony Khan and the AEW roster largely have themselves to blame for the 'tribalism' going against them.

To an extent I do understand the logic of booking the match. They told a story, where Will Ospreay lost because he was reluctant to do the Tiger Driver 91. This is likely going to culminate with Ospreay and MJF having the rematch in Wembley. Where Ospreay is going to finally snap and use it, to get the big win in front of an English audience. It will likely be one of the few draws for Wembley. They need to build interest and make this show seem special if they want to sell tickets. As the novelty of wrestling at Wembley isn't there anymore. At the moment they're only set up for just over 50,000 tickets, with about 10,000 still available. To borrow a saying from Jim Cornette, right now AEW has a stadium that needs a show, rather than a show that needs a stadium.
Part of me feels this match was meant to quell concerns to those who feel MJF came back too soon from injury given the severity of it and how banged up he was by the time he lost the world title back at World's End.
Hot shot booking credit to them for doing the whole match with a clean finish. Long term it’s meaningless AEW needs to continue building with storylines.
I love MJF a lot! But unfortunately, spamming finishers, nonstop kickouts, and no selling doesn’t make a great match! They’re just going long just for the hell of it! I've given up trying to make booking sense for AEW. At this point we should just let Tony book how he wants to book and let the cards fall where they may. And if you can get a good match out of it from time to time then it's all good. If you want really good booking, there are other promotions for that. If you want balls to the wall matches AEW is the place.
Honestly, online tribalism and fandom discourse has been a total disaster for years now, and it's far from just a wrestling thing. Just look at some of the abuse people have suffered from Swifties for daring to not be 100% gushing and full of praise for everything Taylor Swift does, which in turn encourages more bitter opinions the other way. And I'll never forget a few years ago when a games journalist got abused and harassed - and I'm pretty sure was sent death threats - because they rated a game a 7/10, and ruined it's perfect Metacritic score. Like, let that sink in - *it wasn't even a negative review*. The reviewer still gave the game a good score! But somehow, because 7/10 isn't a perfect 10, it was just as bad as a 1/10 in the eyes of these utterly deluded tribalists. It's pathetic. I'll never understand the logic of fans harassing other fans and going in to bat for corporations who don't know or care who the hell they are. HHH won't give you a loyalty badge if you go around trashing AEW in the comments of every AEW post, and Tony Khan won't do the same if you go around crapping on WWE to anyone who will listen.
Tribalism is the same reason I barely listen to wrestling soup anymore. They are funny but they really are becoming a WWE only matters and attack and make up stuff about AEW podcast. For me, no AEW match has topped that Dustin vs. Cody match but I'm someone that didn't care much for this match but still won't hate on it. It's just not something that was fully for me. I'm no Ospreay fan (not because of no selling or he's "flippy") he's just not someone that resonates with me. The whole tribalism thing is truly ridiculous.
My issue with the match was that it was obvious going an hour. When the audience assumes the match is going to a draw before the bell even rings and it finishes with 1 sec left, then that doesn’t make it a great match. Also the scared to do the tiger driver storyline is the dumbest thing in wrestling today, since no wrestler was injured and missed time from the move. And it’s the setup of his actual finisher, so it’s dumb. I respect Solomonster, but it’s fair to say if you didn’t like the match that much.
I do think AEW's ability to put on great matches and tell great stories makes up for the many downsides that go with it. But I do wish they would just put on great matches and tell great stories like this more often so that the downsides weren't as obvious.

Didn't like it but that is just me. And there is nothing wrong with that. If you liked it, good. If you didn't like it, good. There is a lid for every pot. My view has never changed, you need both organisations to survive, but not for the fickle fans. The workers deserve two (or more) viable places to work and feed their families. Competition is not only good but its necessary. The only people that monopolies benefit are billionaires.
The match was great, everything around the match is what turned me off. The commentary is awful. Still think this would of been better on a bigger stage. The no selling was egregious in points. It was great but had issues surrounding it.
Great match 👏🏻 Now imagine if we had an AEW with matches featuring pros like MJF/Ospreay, but with a surrounding influence of a CM Punk and his ideas around it. A company properly highlighting other guys like Starks, Hobbs, Malakai, Miro, etc. But instead… the show is ruined because we get the surrounding universe of the Dumb Bucks and Jeri-tree around this wonderful match 🤦🏻♂️

It didn’t click with me personally. I much prefer Osprey’s matches with Omega and MJF’s Iron Man Match with Danielson BUT! There is no way I can’t praise the performance both guys did. Wrestling a 20 minute mega match and somehow making it 60 minutes is very impressive and both deserve high praise

If AEW doesn't get a new TV deal, then this match was a waste of time. Also, the match itself sucked. It was too long and Ospreay keeps doing the same thing over and over again. I thought it was nuts to have Ospreay vs MJF match on Dynamite 250 instead of saving it for All In. This is similar to WCW booked Goldberg vs Hogan match for free on Nitro instead of doing at the ppv, which they could've made more money. Ospreay vs MJF was a great match. At least AEW did a month build-up to that match. Usually every time TK delivered a big dream match on TV, he didn't give enough time to promote it. For example, MJF vs Omega for the title on Collision. If AEW planning to do a rematch between MJF vs Ospreay at All In, I don't want to see them they play hot potatoes with the International title, especially if they plan to have Daniel Garcia win the title from MJF at All Out.

Ospreay sucks. This is not a tribalist mindset, I don't like WWE or AEW in various different ways. I just don't like Will Ospreay, specifically. Period. I wouldn't have liked him in WWE, either, just like I didn't Ricochet. 100% Will Ospreay is the definition of a Cirque du Soleil wrestler. Just flips around for no reason, no ring psychology, and nothing but false finishes. Of course as usual in a Ospreay match the finish fell flat and the wrong man won. Ospreay should've retained in order to get some credibility back after that loss to Swerve on the PPV.
Agreed I just don’t like this style of match very much which is odd because I ve enjoyed Ironman style matches in the past. I remember when danielson and omega first fought being really pumped and then let down by that match. I gotta understand if it’s some peoples cup of tea but man it just doesn’t hit for me at all.
I don't know why this makes people embarrassed to be a fan? Spend a few days in any fandom where two or more subjects can be compared and you will find loads of people trying to verbally rip each other apart. I was lucky enough to be there last Wednesday. Amazing match and so surprised to see an hour match take place. Oh and btw, the arena is not in Little Rock, it’s actually North Little Rock. The arena is right across the river from Little Rock.
AEW fans cannot complain about tribalism when they're the biggest tribalists, including Tony Khan. As the owner of AEW, Tony Khan has fuelled more tribalism than almost anyone and it's always backfired against him. Not to mention the AEW roster takes pointless and nonsensical jabs at WWE on television almost every week.
Seeing as AEW fans, their owner, and roster are almost always taking shots at WWE, it's hard to get out the world's smallest violin when naysayers point out their declining ratings, poor attendances, and other declines. Not to mention AEW has Meltzer so far up Tony's cheeks with biased reporting that he may as well be employed by Khan.
You reap what you sow, and Tony Khan and the AEW roster largely have themselves to blame for the 'tribalism' going against them.

To an extent I do understand the logic of booking the match.
They told a story, where Will Ospreay lost because he was reluctant to do the Tiger Driver 91. This is likely going to culminate with Ospreay and MJF having the rematch in Wembley. Where Ospreay is going to finally snap and use it, to get the big win in front of an English audience.
It will likely be one of the few draws for Wembley. They need to build interest and make this show seem special if they want to sell tickets. As the novelty of wrestling at Wembley isn't there anymore. At the moment they're only set up for just over 50,000 tickets, with about 10,000 still available.
To borrow a saying from Jim Cornette, right now AEW has a stadium that needs a show, rather than a show that needs a stadium.

Part of me feels this match was meant to quell concerns to those who feel MJF came back too soon from injury given the severity of it and how banged up he was by the time he lost the world title back at World's End.
Hot shot booking credit to them for doing the whole match with a clean finish. Long term it’s meaningless AEW needs to continue building with storylines.

I love MJF a lot! But unfortunately, spamming finishers, nonstop kickouts, and no selling doesn’t make a great match! They’re just going long just for the hell of it! I don’t enjoy matches like this man! And it’s a shame because I think MJF is really a once in a lifetime wrestler, but this is not good wrestling or good booking!

I've given up trying to make booking sense for AEW. At this point we should just let Tony book how he wants to book and let the cards fall where they may. And if you can get a good match out of it from time to time then it's all good. If you want really good booking, there are other promotions for that. If you want balls to the wall matches AEW is the place.
Honestly, online tribalism and fandom discourse has been a total disaster for years now, and it's far from just a wrestling thing. Just look at some of the abuse people have suffered from Swifties for daring to not be 100% gushing and full of praise for everything Taylor Swift does, which in turn encourages more bitter opinions the other way. And I'll never forget a few years ago when a games journalist got abused and harassed - and I'm pretty sure was sent death threats - because they rated a game a 7/10, and ruined it's perfect Metacritic score. Like, let that sink in - *it wasn't even a negative review*. The reviewer still gave the game a good score! But somehow, because 7/10 isn't a perfect 10, it was just as bad as a 1/10 in the eyes of these utterly deluded tribalists. It's pathetic. I'll never understand the logic of fans harassing other fans and going in to bat for corporations who don't know or care who the hell they are. HHH won't give you a loyalty badge if you go around trashing AEW in the comments of every AEW post, and Tony Khan won't do the same if you go around crapping on WWE to anyone who will listen.

Tribalism is the same reason I barely listen to wrestling soup anymore. They are funny but they really are becoming a WWE only matters and attack and make up stuff about AEW podcast. They even made up that Christian was supposed to be at WM for Edge's brood entrance but TK killed it at the last second, no one else reported it and they never discussed it again. For me, no AEW match has topped that Dustin vs. Cody match but I'm someone that didn't care much for this match but still won't hate on it. It's just not something that was fully for me. I'm no Ospreay fan (not because of no selling or he's "flippy") he's just not someone that resonates with me. The whole tribalism thing is truly ridiculous.
I'm new to wrestling but I find Pac is maybe the most physically imposing presence I see in the only organization I watch.
Ive always said that no one hates pro wrestling more than pro wrestling fans.
My issue with the match was that it was obvious going an hour.
When the audience assumes the match is going to a draw before the bell even rings and it finishes with 1 sec left, then that doesn’t make it a great match.
Also the scared to do the tiger driver storyline is the dumbest thing in wrestling today, since no wrestler was injured and missed time from the move. And it’s the setup of his actual finisher, so it’s dumb.
I respect Solomonster, but it’s fair to say if you didn’t like the match that much.

I do think AEW's ability to put on great matches and tell great stories makes up for the many downsides that go with it. But I do wish they would just put on great matches and tell great stories like this more often so that the downsides weren't as obvious.

Didn't like it but that is just me. And there is nothing wrong with that. If you liked it, good. If you didn't like it, good. There is a lid for every pot. My view has never changed, you need both organisations to survive, but not for the fickle fans. The workers deserve two (or more) viable places to work and feed their families. Competition is not only good but its necessary. The only people that monopolies benefit are billionaires.

The match was great, everything around the match is what turned me off. The commentary is awful. Still think this would of been better on a bigger stage. The no selling was egregious in points. It was great but had issues surrounding it.

I thought it was nuts to have Ospreay vs MJF match on Dynamite 250 instead of saving it for All In. This is similar to WCW booked Goldberg vs Hogan match for free on Nitro instead of doing at the ppv, which they could've made more money. Ospreay vs MJF was a great match. At least AEW did a month build-up to that match. Usually every time TK delivered a big dream match on TV, he didn't give enough time to promote it. For example, MJF vs Omega for the title on Collision. If AEW planning to do a rematch between MJF vs Ospreay at All In, I don't want to see them they play hot potatoes with the International title, especially if they plan to have Daniel Garcia win the title from MJF at All Out.

Ospreay sucks. This is not a tribalist mindset, I don't like WWE or AEW in various different ways. I just don't like Will Ospreay, specifically. Period. I wouldn't have liked him in WWE, either, just like I didn't Ricochet. 100% Will Ospreay is the definition of a Cirque du Soleil wrestler. Just flips around for no reason, no ring psychology, and nothing but false finishes. Of course as usual in a Ospreay match the finish fell flat and the wrong man won. Ospreay should've retained in order to get some credibility back after that loss to Swerve on the PPV.

I don't know why this makes people embarrassed to be a fan? Spend a few days in any fandom where two or more subjects can be compared and you will find loads of people trying to verbally rip each other apart. Videogames, pc handhelds, movies, television, sports teams, wrestling, and even action figure collecting all feature high levels of tribalism. It's nothing new and it shouldn't affect your ability to be a fan.
