So I know this is counter intuitive to everything we have heard, but I have had huge success taking the lowest dose of Sertraline possible. It is a little stimulating at first and I know it’s scary but since starting it after the first few weeks all of my symptoms have disappeared. There is a benzo buddy who did a study on it- this specific one affects your glutamate receptors and puts them back at their normal state. Like since taking this I can take the vitamins and hormone supplements I need and my body doesn’t have those weird reactions. It has helped me massively and I know the withdrawal eventually will be much much easier than benzo withdrawals, though a little difficult unless you go slow. I’m taking the baby-est dose. Might not be what you’re looking for but thought I would tell you what I’ve learned 🤗
For me the decision is about quality of life. I had my period come back since starting it, I felt it kick in the first day I took it in my brain. It was stimulating at first, maybe 20 minutes of irritation and anxiety, then I slowed my breathing and grounded myself and it went away. I have been post benzo withdrawal for 5+ years. I cold turkeyed multiple times from 5mg of Ativan daily, had a horrific withdrawal. My body was still having reactions to things this later in my timeline and I want to cry with gratitude this medicine has worked for me. Might not be for everyone but again there is science behind it on benzobuddies done by buddy named ramcon1
SSRI withdrawal is just as horrendous benzo withdrawal. I got akathisia after coming off of Sertraline and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. I’m about 19 months protracted. My benzo taper, however, has been a cake walk in comparison. Everyone is different. Please be careful as all psychotropics can cause tremendous harm.
I've been off meds for over 3 years now, but I've been having ups and downs. Headache and dizziness To make matters worse, I would feel constant muscle pain and stiffness.
I’ve followed your journey and I’m rooting for you 🥳 you got this!

What dose? Ty.
@@naomimara3340 I would start with 12 mg, or even lower if you can ☺️
