I loved the hipster style in the 2000s and twee in the 2010s and I never stopped dressing like that. it's like i'm stuck in a wes anderson movie. people find it tacky? i don't care. i want to feel magical, and tiny fox patterns on my frilly dresses are my favorite way to achieve that.
Yes! This makes so much sense from your channel/aesthetic. The white frilly shorts and white top together are to die for... It's like a little Victorian porcelain doll vibe. Love it. Thanks!
omg girl I have that exact yellow dress in outfit 20. I love twee, although I feel less drawn to it for myself as I get older. But I absolutely love seeing it everywhere. It's so dang cute. One time I found a modcloth deer and mushroom skirt at the thrift and younger me would have DIED.
Absolutely love this aesthetic especially those blue sparkly shorts outfit. I never know how to style those for everyday wear and they just sit in my closet for a special occasion. Now I’m inspired. ❤. Love love every outfit.
I love the twee aesthetic! This is such a great video. I loved any outfit that used the brown messenger cap or the light blue hat, I’ve been meaning to look for hats like that!
I was in high school from 2005-2009 when twee was starting to get huge online. I definitely took inspiration from the style, but also got into the music. Twee and jangle pop are pretty great, and it's especially fun to listen to the song Twee by Tullycraft if you're in the mood to make fun of yourself a bit for being into the music and aesthetic.
Your channel makes me so happy I can’t even explain it lol… it makes me remember what it was like to be inspired creatively as a kid or teen (I’m 29) before we were so waterlogged with Pinterest and social media etc… like when you’d get inspiration from how you dress from a movie you saw, or a cartoon, or a painting, or your friend’s older sister… 🥹
I love this!! I was definitely getting Moonrise Kingdom vibes with the yellow dress outfit, and then you mentioned it. ❤ Would you consider an Over the Garden Wall video?
I love that idea!! I am a huge over the garden wall fan lol 🐸🎃 I’ll have to plan it out, but that’s something I could try this fall. Appreciate the suggestion! 😊
You nailed it! I just thrifted a Strawberry pin and now I want to tie a ribbon around it, thanks for the idea! Loved the outfit with the white frilly shorts and blouse best
Honestly, I really like this style! I never knew what it was called. I think I'd try to put an androgynous spin on it with some funky pants or slacks, maybe? As well as a bit less accessories and more emphasis on a boxy sillhouette... I wonder if that sounds appealing?
Whenever i hear "twee" i immediately think "hipster." I'm not sure if they're the same style, but I honestly don't know what the difference is other than one side bought all their clothes from ModCloth and thr other side bought all their clothes from 2010s Urban Outfitters
I've always liked this aesthetic but it's close connection with the manic pixie dream girl archetype has always got me wary of it (i didn't even knew the aesthetic had a diferent name than 'manic pixie' until I stumbled upon this video)
I have a lot of whimsy twee elements in my wardrobe but tried to tone it down for a while because I didn’t want to get Mpdg’ed. Turns out it happened no matter how I dressed so I just said eff it. Now I embrace the berets, novelty prints, and Peter Pan collars.
Hi! Just found your channel! I'm a new subscriber from Boston who recently moved from PA! Is that a Pennsylvania tattoo on your arm? I lived in lancaster for 20+ years and had access to soon many thrift stores! Do you live in PA?
New sub here! you're so cute! can I ask how tall are you? I'm 154 cms and we have a very similar bodyshape :O I love this aesthetic! I grew up with it but didn't know the name, I used to call it the tumblr indie girl style haha lovely outfits

I am DESPERATE for Twee to come back. Great timing. Let's go Twee Autumn.
music label sarah records is like a fountain of twee-like music from the 80-90s if anyone's into that xd
I am twee. Twee is me. Why is this style not still popular I’ll never understand. Ugh

My style was also heavily influenced by twee and I'm always trying to find ways to modernize it. Love the outfits! So fun!
Thanks!! 😊💕

Really love your hand-painted bag and the ribbon bow pin idea from Outfit 19!
I love #4. The shorts remind me of blue goldstone

I normally skip the sponser bit but not with you lol your voice is sooo calming ❤
Oops! I meant sooo many!
I have those maryjanes in black! Great shoes!
i always loved the twee aesthetic when i was in high school, i miss that era
I always wanted to know what this is called. I think Lily Allen in some of her music videos has this aesthetic or something similar
You are great at styling!
i love this sooo much
inspirational and twee!

I use to want to be a twee girl so bad! One of my fave styles
