As a Broncos fan, I’ve always hoped for the best for Lock. However, we stunted his growth and development. I think if lock can unlock his potential, it’ll be due to Pete’s coaching. He’s someone who brings the best out of his players. Lock requires a proactive coach like that, even if Pete may be a defensive coach, his personality inspires and motivates his players. Pete is embracing lock, which is something fangio didn’t do. Pete was well aware that lock needed time to develop, and he’s doing just that. He’s doing what the Broncos didn’t, and lock is looking very much improved. The NFL is all about opportunity and scheme fits, and I think lock has found his fit. Hoping he can reach his ceiling for the hawks. I’m glad they’re giving him a shot. And I’m glad Pete is allowing lock to develop and grow. It’s what lock needed this entire time.
@@5280Misfit Yeah, because Fangio had some obsession with Teddy. Lol. Literally compared him to Brady during a press interview. 😂😂 that just tells you there was no competition between them when Vic already made his mind up. The whole Fangio era was a dumpster fire even outside of that from the clock mismanagement, throwing challenge flags at plays that are clear and obvious it won't be overturned, him openly admitting he didn't watch the offense during practice, strictly only film because he was too fixated on what the defense was doing, or zero care about special teams and what an abysmal trainwreck they've been and so on. He was doomed from the start. Drew getting a new start here with good personnel will be telling. I'm not sure how well the team is going to be as a whole, but at least Pete seems to actually be behind him here.
@@Thebiggestbeast111 hate to burst your bubble but the way Drew Lock plays under pressure is miserable. Good luck this season with all the overthrows and interceptions 🥲 there’s a reason he’s ranked #40 in the NFL when it comes to QBs lol

all we need out of #2 is the ability to hit wide open metcalf when its there, throwing to a dead spot in coverage and letting our boys fly to it or just dump it in walkers or pennys more than capable hands. This offense looks easier to pilot than when russ tried to do it as a rookie thats for sure, and you even have a real offensive coordinator this time.

Plus I purposely use a point-and-shoot camera, the quality is poor and you're not seeing all of the angles or all of the play. Go look at the Seahawks site, they have high-quality highlights.
The problem with Geno is when he receives the ball, he will ALWAYS face only left or right and not stance in the middle to see the whole field. Kinda tells where he’s throwing before he even throws.
Drew lock doesn’t look how the media paints the picture, off target a few times, almost threw three int and throws into coverage with coby Bryant almost picking ball. Media a bit unfair
Lol literally 3! Watch the tape film doesn’t lie, but you can lol. On lock last drive he threw a out right into coby Bryant hands, media says nothing about that, once again you guys are trying to hype this up.
I thought he got a bad rap in Denver........Fangio was a joke of a head coach..........I was really happy when we drafted him....Hope it works out for him in Seattle.
Denver fan here. Hoping for the best for Lock. He got royally screwed over in Denver. Fangio was a Gutless turd who thought he could win with defense and OC Schurmer was totally clueless. With the right coaching he can be a star. Don’t waste your time with Geno Smith unless you’re going to tank for next years draft. Good luck Drew (except game 1).
although this is a rebuild year i don't think we'll have a terrible detroit lions worthy record. Our defense is looking much better with our cb core improved and although our linebacking core has taken a hit from losing wagner we have 2 young linebackers, Brooks and Mafe, not to mention Brooks ended the 21 - 22' season with 188 tackles which is more than Bobby Wagner who finished with around 167 ish and Brooks is a monster in playing zone in the box and also punishing run gaps. I haven't seen much of Mafe but judging off of his college highlights he looks to be of similar playstyle to Brooks, he excels in stopping the run and QB contains aswell as coverage on curl flats, this may be an issue as there isn't a lot of difference between the two but we do have other linebackers that can be used on 3rd and long although that's highly unlikely. Our D-line is possibly the biggest area of improvement as we gain Shelby Harris and Nwosu, Darrell Taylor has seen a massive break out in training camp and if that's a precursor to anything he's going to be a force on the line of scrimmage, maybe not khalil mack level but still a player that QBs will want to flip the run away from. Our offense has seen much more improvement compared to our defense in my opinion, with two stable line men added to our offense we won't have to rely on the 'scrambling out of the pocket and throwing innacurately on the run' bs. Drew and Geno will be able to sit in the pocket for maybe a few extra moments to go through their reads and that could be the difference between a touchdown or an interception. Kenneth Walker III was drafted in the second round and he's looking like the second coming of Saquon Barkley, don't get your hopes up yet, he still has work to improve on his blocking but he is a very versatile rb, able to play the pass game and obviously excels in the run game, the seahawks rb coach can either choose to make him the next chubb or the next barkley and that's exciting for the franchise. Lockett and Metcalf I don't really have to say anything about, arguably a top 10 wr duo in the league, maybe top 15. Metcalf is going to see a lot more targets than he did last season and he might finally be able to push over 1000 yards receiving as he hit 989 yards last season. Almost a first down short. Lockett dominated last year with Russ' deep ball, he was able to rack up 1200+ yards and I believe although he has to adapt to a less experienced and perhaps less talented qb, his stats will still show why he is a top 10 wr. Noah Fant is clearly another huge passing target, i'm very excited to see what he can do with the ball, especially with his already established bond with Lock, the pair is definitely going to be hooking up on plays to convert, most likely on 3rd down.
Yes technically it's called a scrimmage. But Pete and the Seahawks treat it and approach it differently. They call it a mock game. It's purpose is more than to practice game situations. They try and simulate the whole home game day experience. All of the pregame warm ups are handled the same. They have an actual half time break and they sell thousands of tickets. It's more simulation of a home game than a typical scrimmage.
I think Lock's lack of arm strength is an issue. No, I dont mean he can't throw deep (although I dont know if he can or can't). I mean his ability to throw fast, hard & quick. Some of his short to mid range passes look like they hang to me. He is also a little too readable. Defenses are gonna read him, read those big tells and step in front of his slow throws and you might see a few pick sixes early. Hes not horrible but Pete needs to figure out some work around and the trainers need to get busy on his lack of fast twitch fibers.
@@donttrip1818 Maybe it's his motion, but it looks to me like from the moment he begins to throw to the moment the receiver catches the ball it's slow, kind of soft.
