In exchange for sugar, tea, rum and other necessities they would give the Wellerman the whale blubber, and other items that could be sold for profit.

By modifying the texture and timing of the notes. By combining quarters or cutting wholes you can change the feel of speed. He also seems to have removed a few minor lines in jack. This is from hearing, I don't read piano music.

Dear god, they mix so well...
Not really that difficult tbh once you learn music theory. You just find 2 song both in either major or minor key and play them in the same scale. Make some transitions and you’re pretty much done. (Not hating, love the video!)
I simply love how my brain get so much confused by this. Knowing both by heart it wants to continue the tune and is suddenly moved to the other one, back and forth. 😁❤️ except for 2:18 - 2:30, that part was so smooth and epic, awesome!

These flow better than I expected.
You blended those two pieces perfectly. You're a very good musician and player. I used to play the piano some, always wanted to learn a guitar too, but never did. I was told I had an "ear for music" by a musician and teacher. But I never was much good at reading sheet music. And just didn't have the memory to learn and recall a piece for very long before I forgot it and would have to "relearn" it again. Finally forgot all the pieces I knew and haven't played for years. Still like to hear a piano though, especially solo or maybe with one accompanying instrument.

both of these pieces are amazing, but when you put them together I wanna get a flaggon of rum and take over a spanish merchantman xD
Now all you gotta think is a pirate saying how catching whales is a great feat of bravery and valour while the other's droning on about their jar of dirt. It gets quite intense and they end up crying, remembering all the shenanigans they've gone through in their lifetime. However, the mood lights up a bit and they form an alliance, only to never see one another ever again.
