For anyone in need:
easy to level up w/ manual farming or buying from bazaar/npc but terrible to place down
- all the wood minions
- farming minions (mushroom, nether wart, wheat, carrot, potato, pumpkin, melon
- cobblestone minion (hint: cobblestone generator)
- ice minion
- sand minion
- gravel minion
- endermen minion
worth placing immediately with compactors and medium storage
- mining minions (coal, redstone, lapis, glowstone, iron, gold, emerald)
- slime minion (optional)
don't bother placing without a super compactor (aka save for last)
- fish minion
- clay and snow minions
- endstone minion
- all hostile + passive mob minions

A tier 1 foraging minion with an auto smelter makes more coal per hour than a tier 12 coal minion

for ppl wondering why the haste 3 gold axe doesnt work, there was a new update that added mining fatigue so instead buy a jungle axe in ah (only costs like 5~10k), ignore the gold axe and continue on with the guide :) also for the mushrooms there are no way to instant chop i believe
chopping the entire mushroom in 1 hit or a block? cause a efficiency V axe can 1 hit mushroom blocks

This is the best tutorial, how to start the game at early stage. There is a lot of things I did know, but thank you for making it short and it's better if the information is together and you know the easiest tactics. I'm playing skyblock 4 days and back then I did not know a thing. Hopefully there is a lot of good tutorial videos, but yours is the ultimate early guide. Wow this was really helpful, I’m late mid game-early late game and only have 15 slots (I know terrible I’ve been meaning to increase it but haven’t gotten around to it) and this laid out all the steps for this

as a new player i lost 20k trying to get to the nether
As a new player I say on my island mining cobblestone from my cobble generator, and never emptied my one cobble minion, or went to hub

Here’s a tip for getting nether wart, instead of dying a lot and all the nether wart being taken from the blazing fortress harvest nether wart from the hub. The alchemist npc has tons of nether wart and just switch between hubs over and over harvesting wart. It’s a lot faster than the blazing fortress
DogMan you don’t get collection unless it fully grown so it ends up being about the same

That nether wart in the hub allowed me to get the potion affinity artifact in nether wart 9 in about 30 minutes of swapping hubs lol

The problem is he won’t get farming xp which would increase his speed and crop collection... this is why melon is bad

In my opinion, when you just start out, have a potato minion and an oak wood minion, because if you're grinding for miner armor or something like that, you spend all your time in the deep caverns, so automating oak and potatoes to get minion storages and hot potato books is good when you just start.

in the section where you were talking about unlocking bazaar, I disagree with the mining and foraging tips because getting efficiency 5 and a haste 3 potion is slower than doing it with basic tools from merchants because of how annoying it is to unlock the enchanted glowstone/ efficiency 5 recipes
Yes but you need those tools and collections anyway so might as well get them out of the way
Yeah and foraging was how I first started getting money, I got like a mill in my first week which also let me do more damage (raiders axe) and just generally helped with collection.
@@FIameTerror I agree that it's worth getting them, but it's easier to unlock the bazaar first than mine 1k glowstone to make haste 3
For anyone trying to get bazaar, getting farming 7 is much easier playing on a newer version (for example 1.16), because the crops have larger hit boxes
It may not seem like a lot but it makes things so much faster

Try to speedrun 15 minion slots as fast as possible(or whatever seems possible in 1 stream for you)

Btw I can do this by putting a auto smelter on acacia minions and put a super compactor as regular one don’t fit. It’s only about 1mil per T11 compared to coal which is 2.5 mil per T11. It also makes about 500 more coal!

Also for bazaar buying, usually get 56 enchanted items, which us usually enough to get you a t7 minion.

Wood minions are not useless, they are better than coal with an auto smelter and can be upgraded faster because you can get wood faster. Not only that, but they generate 4 recourses per cut tree, and make a lot more than the same tier coal minion even though they have a longer cooldown.
Technically, if you have a diamond spreading, you don't really need a diamond minion besides crafting one to help with unique crafts
You can farm nether wart in the hub and then hub swap or use private lobbies. Seems to me a lot faster and since the new update you need a high combat level to get to the nether.
26:30 another tip is to use silk touch if you are in need of enchanted mushroom blocks because it takes a lot less time.

You can't use haste 3 potions to insta mine trees now. They changed it so that instead of doing +60% Mining speed it now gives +160 mining speed. Which with an efficiency 4 golden axe, is worse.
You talked about all mining minion, crop minions, foraging minions, but what abpout chiken, cows and sheeps? I suppose they get filled pretty quick too tbh

For gravel minion use it until you get critical pots than use clay snow or a minion that has good production
Actually early to mid game wood minions are kinda op especially mid game cause wood sells good at the bazaar.
