Hi Nay Saw. With copper wire the higher the voltage and lower the ampage the smaller the wire is. Wattage is volts times amps so for any given wattage the wire will be smaller if the volts are higher. Then the end point appliance (radio, motor, actuator, etc) is more efficient at higher voltages. So given most autos have many many electrical systems this change will make many many small improvements per car. I’m actually excited by it.

Best Elon's CEO skills displayed so far in any event. He managed to balance between the shareholders' Investors mindset and the technicality aspects of the engineering developed by TESLA. In also a confident and eloquent manner. Very well structured speech. It will be reflectes on a bullish TESL stock price action badly needed for all the long term investors that have been DCAying in the last 2 years and still in red.

@ 11:52 Elon says, "...both the design of the product and the manufacturing are head and shoulders above anything else that is present in industry."
That needs to be broken down into the product design and the manufacturing techniques.
The product that followed his statement was Optimus the robot, so we shall assume that that was what he was talking about.
We can already see the design. The only thing I can think of is that the manufacturing techniques will be similar to the gigacastings used for the chassis of the EVs.

Wrt to current production, it's known that Pepsi has received at least 20 semis so far. So, apparently, Tesla don't seem to be making more than a couple trucks per week. I doubt that this will change until they finish making the permanent production line at Giga Nevada. Based on Musk's 2024 production target, I guess the new production line is meant to be finished by the end of this year.

Interestingly, the hype of the electric car future is now starting to be more closely scrutinized, and its benefits are put into doubt. New research confirms that there will be more waste and pollution from the production of the batteries and issues with their disposal when they get to the existing ICE vehicle scale. That, coupled with the demand on electricity infrastructure will push the cost of electricity to power these cars to a point where they are more expensive to run than ICE vehicles. The future is not electric, it is more likely hydrogen.

Tesla has executed well over the past year and has many exciting years ahead. The Tesla Master Plan Part Three is technical and dives into a lot of technical depth, backed up with physics and real data. The goal is to give people a realistic hope towards a path of a fully sustainable global economy. It takes less energy to go sustainable, and it's more energy-efficient to go sustainable. Sustainable energy requires less mining. The majority of battery packs are iron-based, and cobalt batteries use a tiny amount of cobalt binder.
Tesla battery packs mostly use iron, and cobalt batteries use only a tiny amount of cobalt binder. In contrast, phones use 100% cobalt, even though cobalt mining can involve child labor. Tesla cares about doing the right thing and is working towards sustainable energy. Sustainable energy requires fewer emissions over time, and electric vehicles win by a long shot. The emissions required to produce an electric vehicle are dropping rapidly over time. Tesla is excited to announce their next-gen drive unit, which will have a big reduction in silicon carbide and will require zero rare earth elements. They will also change from the 12-volt voltage to 48-volt architecture, needing only a quarter as much copper for cars.
Tesla is changing from 12-volt to 48-volt architecture, requiring only a quarter as much copper for cars, which is a big deal. Their FSD beta is growing hyperexponentially, with only one last piece of the puzzle remaining, which is the planning Control Function. They expect it to become a neural net, end-to-end from video into control out. Full self-driving is expected to be 10 times safer than a person driving over time. Elon Musk believes that the ability to software update and have several million cars suddenly go from manual driving to autonomous is the single biggest asset value increase in history. Tesla is the largest EV maker in the world and the highest margin car maker in the world at the same time. Competitors are struggling to make EVs profitably while Tesla is doing so.
Tesla is not only the largest EV maker in the world, but also the highest margin car maker in the world, making electric vehicles profitably when competitors are struggling to make EVs without significant loss. Free cash flow per year is increasing steadily. However, no company is immune to the macroeconomic environment and there will be a year of difficulty globally, with a best guess of the global economy turning around in roughly 12 months. Tesla's internal software team is a hidden strength and is internally written, which is a rare talent in most companies that are generally reliant on third-party enterprise resource planning software. Tesla is highly confident that the Model Y will be the number one best-selling car on earth this year.
Tesla puts immense effort into vehicle safety and keeps updating its safety features. The automatic emergency braking system is continuously improving with software updates. European end cap active safety tests awarded Tesla with the highest scores they have ever seen. The total cost of ownership for the Model 3 is now comparable to the Toyota Corolla. The Tesla Mega Pack, which is a stationary storage product, is now competitive with natural gas speaker plants. Tesla anticipates strong demand for the Mega Pack and plans to make a lot of them. The Tesla stationary battery pack business is growing faster than the automotive side, as predicted previously. The gigafactory in Nevada is expanding with the Tesla Semi-production line and 4680 in-house cell production.
Tesla's stationary battery pack business is growing exponentially and the company is aiming to produce 40 gigawatt hours a year in California and China, with the potential to exceed 500 gigawatt hours per year in the long term. The company is also addressing supply chain choke points, such as lithium refining, and has broken ground on a lithium refinery in Corpus Christi. Tesla anticipates strong demand for its Mega Pack and plans to produce a lot of them. The Cybertruck is a challenging car to make due to its innovative design, which requires a whole new set of manufacturing techniques. However, Tesla is making good progress on its development.
Tesla is inventing a whole new set of manufacturing techniques to build the Cybertruck's exoskeleton, which is extremely non-trivial. However, they are making good progress, and Elon Musk aims to start delivering production Cybertrucks later this year. Besides, Tesla is planning to launch two more products that people will be excited about. Design products and manufacturing techniques for these two models are head and shoulders above anything else in the industry. Elon Musk's guess is that Tesla will produce over five million units a year from these two models combined.
During the shareholder meeting, Elon Musk stated that Tesla plans to produce over five million units a year from the two new models they are launching, which feature superior design products and manufacturing techniques. The Optimus robot, which was showcased in a video, was designed with Tesla's own system, consisting of motors, controllers, and electronics that were created from scratch by a world-class team. Musk also mentioned that the software used for full self-driving is transferable to other applications, such as humanoid robots.
Elon Musk discusses how Tesla's software for full self-driving can be transferred to other applications, such as humanoid robots like the Optimus robot. He emphasizes the importance of ensuring they do not face a "Terminator scenario" but highlights the potential demand for effective humanoid robots, which he predicts could vastly exceed that of cars. He confidently predicts that Tesla's long-term majority will be in creating these types of robots.

With 48 Volts, Charge cables would have half the diameter of those at 12 Volts. That's 4 times less Copper.
In electronics, 48 Volts has been a standard for phantom power for donkey's years. It's not high enough to cause harm (but you can feel it!), but high enough to allow significant power transport. 12 Volts is so outdated, but is kept in place because lead acid batteries would otherwise become too expensive and heavy with 24 cells instead of 6. Lithium tech allows much smaller cell size at 4.2 Volts per cell so 48 Volts for the chassis makes much, much more sense.

Shouldn't be hard. Balancing on two legs is much harder actually. The only possible issue if the actuators aren't fast enough, but I don't think that's the case.

The Margin Statement ruclips.net/video/D_8WShgZLQM/видео.html is unfortunately wrong. Porsche and Ferrari both have a higher margins than Tesla. One might argue it doesn't matter, but the statement was "of any automaker". Since Porsche also makes a rather ok electric car in volume I'd consider them among the "any carmakers".
