I was 17 when they recorded this in Atlanta. I was there on the front row. Because of technical difficulties the recording didn’t start till after 10pm. This song had my jaw dropped in awe!!! Still my favorite till this day. I stayed until they finished the last song around 3am. I’m so connected to this album!
Wow, a 5 hr live recording. How many songs did they sing that night? Because there were only 13 on the album and the album runtime was about an hr and 20 mins
I used to bump this in my car er'y morning this CD was one of my favorites......Those robes are the answer......choirs don't have decorum like this anymore.
This is 16 years old. I had just left home in NYC to go to college in Atlanta, and what do you know, they entire choir followed me down south and recorded (LOL). I too miss choir robes and the choirs that use to wear them. The babies of today dont even know the church choir is what made THE CHURCH back in the day. -sigh- I wanna go back so badly.....
Yes the moves the strange twist and turns in the songs is all what makes them unique and what makes them have their own style.Ive followed them from day one.Keep it up!
They originally opened up with a techno house version of “caught up” it was so 🔥 but it didn’t make the album I’m assuming because of the difficulty they were having. Does anybody else remember that night?
I'm shouting and praising in my bed. Just can't sit still. The quality is not so good. Matters not to me..... Low volume or not its that ANNOINTED FIRE!!!!
@Edward_Strong1982 😂😂😂 we ended up doing o'landa draper "come by here" and a few other songs. He didn't like james halls sound, so every james Hall song I'd present to him, he would say no🙄

This choir has always had the strongest alto section I've ever heard. So full
Agreed. They can also modulate into a very high Soprano range.
Yesssssssssssssss! I use to have this video. Dont even know what happened to it!
dex (zm)
Remember when my Mom brought this album home as a teen, changed my musical life

Wow!!
Finally someone posts some throwback James Hall & W&P
It’s the band break at 5:44 for me
I love to hear Altos hit them bottom notes @ 4:17. Altos already have the bomb notes in every song, but it's crazy when they sing those lower notes.
This album was hot. I used to have the video. The video editing was not that great, but still loved it.
Amazing song
Sang ya;ll - from Chicago!!!!

This reminds of Ricky Dillard's choir - fiery and spunky!
@missnene65 I have always know JJ. was a part of WAP cause he was always in the front.
I remember i presented this song to our choir director in college and he said hell no😫😭 his reply was they were doing too much
That's terrible!
And now everybody juke like this 😂
@Edward_Strong1982 😂😂😂 we ended up doing o'landa draper "come by here" and a few other songs. He didn't like james halls sound, so every james Hall song I'd present to him, he would say no🙄
Where was the band? I'd love to see the camera on them?

I've looked up the words online, but I don't think it matches what I hear.
