A novel about Dracula that had factual history written in it about Vlad's rulings is: "I am Dracula" by C.Dean Anderson. Quite an interesting novel on him. Very neat to see the little old area!!! Awesome video ❤👍🏻😂
"..if you can look - and you will look - i make you look.." great..!!! I just like and adore every single take you give to the audience - apreciate your dry humor - cu suflet românesc..! Vă multumesc foarte mult, cele mai bune urări C. 🦉 😇

Hi Emil, thanks for the informative videos about Romania. I have been living here for about 4 and a half years now but unfortunately, I haven't seen too much of it yet. In September we will be going to the Danube Delta for a week. Cheers from Gura Raului
Bram Stoker was an Irish civil servant living in Dublin when he wrote the novel. It was inspired by the Translation of the story of the terrifying Druid Abhartach in Ulster. Abhar is the Gaelic for dwarf. They buried Druids vertically and he kept coming back. There are many stories of vampirism in Ireland and one of the most frightening creatures is known as the Dearg Due, or 'Red Thirst'. Droch Fuile in Garlic is Bad Blood. It was illegal to write in Gaelic/Irish at the time. I remember the same feeling of clandestinely speaking with my father as a child in Belfast. Known in many parts of Ireland and the tradition of the blood-drinking dead was also recorded in Geoffrey Keating’s Foras Feasa ar Éirinn (The History of Ireland) written between 1629 and 1631. In chapter ten Keating made much of the neamh-mhairbh. The History (originally written in Irish) was translated several times-once into Latin in St Malo in Brittany in 1660 and then into English by Dermod O’Connor in 1723 under the title ‘A General History of Ireland’. But it was the historian and folklorist Patrick Weston Joyce who actually made connections between Abhartach and the Irish vampire tradition. Joyce enthusiastically recounted the legend in his own book A History of Ireland (Dublin 1880). This was seventeen years before Dracula was published and it is believed that Stoker, then a Dublin civil servant, read Joyce’s work (and presumably the Abhartach legend) with some relish. Around the same time, manuscript copies of Keating’s work were placed on public display in the National Museum in Dublin. Also see historyIreland and was-dracula-an-irishman
Next, where in Romania was the American Civil War film, "Cold Mountain" filmed? Romania had thin young men to use as "extras" (American extras are too fat to be soldiers) and aircraft free airspace, making it ideal for filming.
Emil, I have listened to you for years now because I respect your opinion & detailed knowledge of foreign affairs. As a gay man, I don’t much care whether your shorts are LGBTQ approved. I tune in for your expertise.
Latest Malaysia is keen to join Brics! Since ancient times, the peoples of Malaysia ( ie Malaya, Sabah & Sarawak) have prosperous trading with excellent people-to-people relationship with China. Any busybody outsider countries attempt to push Malaysia to pit against China is utterly futile. In year 2023, Malaysia-China bilateral trade is about Rm300 billions ringgit & is going up, of which 24% of it are via Reminbi/Ringgit swap lines, US dollar to use is getting less & lesser in due course. Latest Thailand, Indonesia, Laos & Vietnam have expressed their interest to join Brics. So who is the next? 😊
I told you so I told you so Cosman has connection to Lord Dracula. Cosman could be long lost son of Dracula. Cosman has canine teeth resembling Dracula.
Some of the oldest salt mines on earth are still in operation in Romania! Kings would have fought fiercely as have terrain to do so. To slit your throat or bite it can be mythical analogy of fact!
Over several hundred years it is unimagineable how much salt has been mined in Romania. Pure crystal forms of sodium halide are mined in present times with highest technologies.
But why did u get that shirt? R u suddenly proud of Al Capone? The castle on the big hill u climbed in the other video, that one looked like "Count Dracula's". I also dislike the long shorts that are the fashion now. But white ones? President F.J.Biden would never wear white shorts or trousers. No way! Beautiful country there. In NYC I was friendly with a Romanian car mechanic, a real nice guy. I asked him if he knew who Codreanu was. He jumped up and pounded on his chest and said, "I am Codreanu!"
Ty Emil for showing us your beautiful town
Beautiful surroundings, thanks Emil.
I was at the monastery last year and the view from there is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
Thanks, Emil. I'll be there (and around other parts of Romania) next month. Can't wait.

Emil, in English we use a sickle to thresh the hay.
"Scythe" is the word he's looking for. Long handle 90 degrees from the blade.
@@thankmelater1254 Yeah, you're right, lol; better word than sickle
Where has everyone gone? It seems like they're all avoiding Dracula. There is very little activity except for Emil.
Unde vă opriți diseară?
Bagrem, Black locust, Honey locust
